Horrible horrible food. Walked in to pick up a lunch order — that was called ahead 30 minutes prior — order had not been prepared. Then, I watched the kitchen staff use a spatula to scrape mayo off of paper wrappers and recycle them… I walked out completely disgusted and vow never to return again.

A small, rundown hole in the wall cafeteria that serves pretty good food. I have never had a bad meal, they are better than the other marketfresh food court down the street, but nowhere as good as other deli’s. If you are local and need a decent sandwich, this works. The staff is friendly and decently quick.

The food is pretty good, I do not like the cash only idea. I also did not like the separated prices for Sandwich, fries, and drink! The price for a reasonable meal looks like $ 5.50, but ends up $ 8 — $ 10 everytime; that is, they should have a combo price for all three. Sandwich, fries, and a drink. Anything else looks like a scam! Over all the food was prepared well. I did not like the prices or the price setup.

Well, there isn’t a whole lot to say about this place because it isn’t that great and nothing stands out. I ordered a turkey and ham club, and a pork and cheese papusa. The turkey and ham club was decent and it had a sufficiently ripe tomato on it. My papusa was absolutely inedible and tasted HORRIBLE, it went straight into the trash. It was straight up offensive. The interior is somewhat depressing, and a bit dark but it is clean. The menu is rife with spelling errors and honestly doesn’t offer that much selection. Lettuce is spelled wrong every single time it is mentioned, and they also spelled California wrong. The main problem with this place is that Ox Deli is right down the road. They have a FAR superior menu with FAR greater selection and it costs less and they take credit cards. I’d drive a mile up the road to Ox Deli or a ¼ mile up the road to Market Fresh Café, you will be glad that you did.

The menus say«U & I Café’» but cafeteria is a far more suitable attribute than deli or café, judging by the décor. From the outside you could almost mistake it for a firehouse, the bricks are so bright red. Inside are a basic assortment of easy-clean chairs, a handful of empty tables, a counter of fruit and condiments across from the rack of chips. Friendly service, looks like a mom and pop attempt with some local hires. Cash only. $ 20 order minimum for local delivery. Our food took about 5 minutes, and we wiled the time away by watching the food prep girl pat out a new tortilla, presumably for a burrito. The egg and ham sandwich was received well by my coworker. I got the meat platter because the name intrigued me; overeasy eggs were done to order, the sausage came as a single round patty. Two slices of triangle-cut lightly buttered toast to sop up my yolk. The home fries are my biggest problem, because they’re orange as if flavored but incredibly bland and on the dry side(picture mushy chunks). A peek behind the counter showed pre-made burritos. If I come back it’ll be strictly to try the sandwiches. Curse my coworker’s 10 am munchies and his love for dive delis!
