Country Inn & Suites By Carlson-Stevens Point

I come up to the Point about once a month for business and each time I stay here. The location is perfect if visiting UW-​Stevens Point.
The rooms are clean, some offer whirlpools, and offer a free breakfast. The breakfast is just ok, Holiday Inn Express offers a better one. Also, the pillows are too soft for my liking. Staff is very friendly and offer free cookies at the front desk.
Overall, I think it is one of the best options in the area. If you dig mushy pillows and mediocre free breakfast, you might give this place a 5 star rating. I can’t imagine you’d wanna give less than 3 stars though.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and both thought it was a good experience. The room was inexpensive, very clean, and modern. The shower had great water pressure! The staff at the hotel was very accommodating and nice. Their morning breakfast was amazing! I couldn’t believe all the food that they had. Their coffee was also good. This hotel is located near many restaurants and breweries. If you’re looking to visit the breweries in the area this is the hotel to stay at. The only con was that our bed was not very comfortable which could be an issue but I’m sure it was an isolated incident. Great hotel!!!

This is a very worn out hotel. Take a pass as the rooms are dated and in need of refresh. Probably good for a college town but not business guests. I have asked our Insurance company to take these folks off the list.

I would most often stay at comfort suites hotel but they no longer allow dogs in Stevens point so I tried the country inn across the street and they do in fact allow dogs but are not very per friendly unless you have a service animal. Would not recommend it for those that travel a lot with there dogs.

I stayed here for two nights during family weekend for UW-​Stevens Point. The hotel was very convenient to my daughter’s campus dorm. The room was clean, well supplied and the bed was super comfortable! I usually don’t sleep well in hotels but had no issues here with the blackout drapes and premium bedding (comforter with duvet and a great supply of fluffy pillows). The staff was over-​the-​top accommodating and friendly. I was traveling alone this trip and a housekeeper offered to help me with my things. I also experienced car trouble and the front desk was great in helping me find a service garage. The property adjoins Schmeeckle reserve and I enjoyed watching deer in the parking lot as I loaded and unloaded my vehicle. The hotel offers a nice selection of hot and cold breakfast items. I didn’t use the pool/​whirlpool area but it looked very nice. I will definitely stay here again! Travel tip: There is a Perkins Restaurant almost next door and if you show your room key, they’ll give you a 10% discount!

Tv’s in the bathrooms? Need I say more? A lot more than I expected and priced about where I thought they should be. Free breakfast was a plus!
