We went to this museum on the anniversary of their opening and admission was free. They also had cake! Seriously, this is a lovely museum, with multiple exhibits on all kinds of nature, folklife, and history. If you’re Catholic, they have an enormous collection of beautiful rosaries of all kinds, from a patron’s personal collection. I love walking through the corridor that holds their collection of furniture, household goods, and Native American artifacts. The history of the Gorge is beautifully displayed here. And their gift shop has some real finds.

I have no idea how good this museum is because we were not going to pay $ 44 for our family of 5. Sorry Washington, perhaps our loss.

This was a really informative & beautiful museum… small scale but easy to get through in a couple of hours. Was enough history of the Gorge area to appreciate those who came before! Friendly staff.

I love any good museum, and this is one of the best small museums I have ever seen. There are outdoor exhibits as well. It is well worth the price of admission, great for a family visit. Plan to take your time. There is a lot to see, and you shouldn’t feel rushed.

This is such a cool place. Its right on the gorge. Shows the history behind the gorge, Natives, Asians, Lewis & Clark etc. Very educational.
