Not our first time, the smells of the smokers and BBQ draw you in, unlike the chain BBQ joints. I love the brisket and turkey, fried okra and coleslaw. The cobbler with melting ice c ream is the bomb :)

Decent food. The brisket isn’t great, pretty dry and tough. But most of it is decent and the calf fries are good. If you’re looking for a good lunch this is a great choice, but if you’ve got a hankering for some quality down home barbecue this isn’t the place. Pulled pork pretty tasty, BBQ sauce about average, brisket not good, hot links good, cornbread kinda dry by alright.

Great food, great service, great location. Ambiance makes you feel like you are in a genuine smoke house. Order the 2 for 22. It is the best deal. It comes with your choice of an Appitizer(includes the sampler basket) anr two big dinners. They aren’t the cheap, «no one eats this,» dinners either. They have fantastic dinners. Cap all of that off with fresh sweet tea, and you have the best BBQ in the state. Service is great. The people are nice, helpful and prompt with the food. This is a great place for any gameday because its a little outside of town and not many people know about it. While everyone else is waiting three hours for subpar Eskimo Joes, I am devouring some fantastic Bad Brads. Do yourself a favor, yes you, and eat here.

Great Food! Better than some of the BBQ places in Texas. Had the City Slicker really good. Service was really great and very friendly. Would defiantly recommend and will be going back again!

The only bad thing about Bad Brad’s is smelling like a smoke house when you leave… But isn’t that the mark of a good BBQ joint? We LOVE the smoked sausage. It is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The onion rings are another favorite, and they left you do half fries/half rings if you want.

I’m glad there’s truth in advertising. Brad’ is truly bad. Awful. Simply awful. Very typical Oklahoma BBQ. Brisket was dry and flavorless. The ribs weren’t finished. They were tough as all get-out and didn’t seem to have any rub. They were inedible. The green beans were a tragedy. I can’t tell what they put in there, but I took one bite and put an end to that suffering. The ranch style beans were straight out of the can. Probably for the best. The turkey and sauce were the only saving graces. Those and the service. The servers were supremely nice. Save you money and go somewhere else.

Catered brothers graduation party. Baked beans with onions were good. Coleslaw was kind of plain but really fresh and crisp. Bbq sauce was great and they gave us a ton of it, so much leftover. Buns just store bought cheap ones but they get the job done. Fried okra kinda soggy but that’s probably cuz it was in a to-go container. Would probably be good fresh.

The place is a shrine to dead stuff! The walls are covered with antlers and heads! The smell when you walk in screams we smoke some stuff round here! We started off with a sampler of pickles. Green beans, and cheese. Good! I had a yardbird wrap which was good. The cole slaw was wonderful and not swimming in sweet dressing. Chris had a platter with several meats on it he liked it. Amanda had a po boy and liked it too. The fries are crispy and thick cut. The cobbler crust was not the best next time I will have cake! I will be back!

I was slightly disappointed with this BBQ joint, however the décor was interesting in this small little restaurant. The food was mediocre and the BBQ sauce was basic. My meal was the chicken and rib combination plate… it came with two slices of white bread(not sure what I was suppose to do with those… so I just ignored them) and I ordered a baked potato and corn on the cob. The baked potato was not fully cooked and wasn’t even hot… so the butter and cheese did not melt. The corn on the cob must have been soaking in water for a while because it was slightly soggy. The service here was also not very good. Probably wouldn’t go back if I was in the area again.

Been to the original location in Pawhuska, and this place is pretty close. Pulled pork, which should be a no-brainer and always good, was pretty decent. Tender, juicy, seasoned just enough, no excess fat. The brisket, which takes some knowledge to prepare, was so-so. Not bad, by any means, but definitely not the tenderest and juiciest we’ve ever had. Almost seemed like the Brisket had been laying around a while before being served. Service was great. Excellent staff. Sides are okay. Nothing to make a person dance in the aisles and slap strangers.

My first go with Oklahoma BBQ. Bad Brad’s nestled in a coverted house on the east side of Stillwater. In regards to the name, most of the party I dined with thought Brad’s was bad. Not the Michael Jackson version as the name states, like not so good. I’m one of the biggest BBQ snobs in the world; I found a few bites I liked resulting in a three star rating. The worst of the meats was the brisket. If your looking for lean they have you covered. I on the other hand stand by «more fat, more flavor» and asked for moist. The waitress upon serving my plate told me they couldn’t find any parts with fat. It was dry and tough. The ribs fared far better with the spicy BBQ sauce. The meat tore off the bone with ease and the smoky crust really pleased the palate Then, on a whim I tried the BBQ bologne. Every Texan who reads this review is gonna say WTF? Thick sliced and smoked, it was the suprise hit of the dining experience. Sides were good, but as I always say who judges a BBQ joint by their cole slaw and potato salad. Service was attentive and it seemed by the small crowd Brad’s has a decent following. I’ve decided I’ll stick to traditional ‘Que south of the Red River. I’ll be back, no bologne!

Good bbq. Brisket is good, sauce is tangy and good. Cowboy special served on butcher paper with onion, a pickle and a big olé hunk of cheese. Very good representative on Oklahoma bbq. Get a free cup with purchase of beverage.

As far as Stillwater goes, Bad Brad’s is great BBQ It’s a VERY casual place, with food served on styrofoam plates. As others have pointed out, you can take the cup with you, which is a nice bonus. As for the food, the brisket is my favorite. The best thing about Bad Brad’s is the BBQ sauce. The spicy is by far my favorite, that stuff is outstanding. The reason I am going with 4-stars is because the sides are just so-so IMO. They spicy baked beans are solid, and the okra is OK(I agree with the others that they’re a bit too greasy). Overall a very solid BBQ place.

I was pretty disappointed this time around, Reasons: 1. Got in a bit late with a large crowd and was sat at a table that was being prepared for a group of maybe 10 in uniform military. We realized quickly that we three had prolonged their wait so when a table opened up next to our group of maybe fifteen we offered to go to that table we were told no! She said we could choose other seats but not that one because it was in a different zone. The more I thought about this the more I realized it is kinda foolish for her to have denied us a seat with our group. That is the first time I think I have offered to move for someone then told we would not be able to sit with our group for a going away party for a coworker but it was cool if we took a seat all the way across the restaurant as long as it was in our waitresses«zone». We went ahead and moved so that the military folks could be seated and ordered our food. 2. the food was bland and cold. I ordered a rancher sandwich with brisket and a coworker got a smoked turkey sandwich both were cold. I thought that we would get some kind of fixings of these sandwiches but they consisted of meat and bread and… nope that’s it just meat and bread no pickle onion tomato lettuce nothing just cold bland brisket and a not fresh hamburger bun, at least the fries were good a totally different style than I have ever had. This was my worst experience at Bad Brads, I will give them another chance but if they don’t go four star amazing then I am not going back unless I have too.

Fun little restaurant built in an old house full of hunting trophies, eclectic decorations, and signage. The food is served on Styrofoam plates with plastic utensils. The food itself was good and you got a fair amount for the money.

We love Bad Brads and eat there often – my grandfather can’t resist taking us there when he visits. Last weekend for my brother’s graduation we were worried about it being too busy for dinner on Friday night, so we ordered some food to go and ate from home – just as delicious, and they were quick to have it ready for us.

I love when I get get down and dirty for a business lunch. Selling to the public safety industry has it’s perks — we(I’m a former dispatcher) love our food. Traveling around the midwest and plains states doesn’t always provide that much excitement except in the way of local food. I’ve eaten BBQ all around the country and I must say that I really enjoyed Bad Brad’s. Not the best I’ve ever had, but I’d go back and recommend others go as well. First, the service was great. There was never any waiting! Drink refills, an important part of the BBQ experience(sweet tea!) were instant. Seriously. The good was imparted with a great smoke flavor, not too overpowering but definitely full of flavor. On first bite, I wasn’t sure about the brisket as it seemed to have been cooked with a little too much moisture — more pot roast than BBQ brisket, you know? But honestly, it really grew on me. The smoke ring was textbook and the flavors were there. The pork tenderloin was something I had never been offered at a barbecue restaurant, usually seeing the fattier cuts like shoulder. I was really impressed. Not dry in the least and, once again, perfect on the smoke. I might have given 3 or 3.5 stars if it wasn’t for the turkey. FANTASTIC, probably my favorite thing out of the 3 meats I had. My side of fried okra was greasier than it needed to be, hot BBQ sauce was much tastier than the regular. Overall a good experience while in Stillwater!
