Ugh… So this happened a few weeks ago, but I thought it would be important to share it. I hate bad steaks and I hate being told what I should like. I ordered a ribeye and my GF got a NY strip. Both came out overcooked and tough. I mean vulcanized rubber tough. We asked to have the steaks medium rare and they came out looking like deflated footballs(and unlike Tom Brady I don’t care for that much…). We brought this to the attention of our server, a somewhat nice person up to this point, who informed us that we had asked for the steaks well done. I was a little confused and then she showed us our ticket to prove it. I pointed out that she had not written on the ticket how the steaks were to be cooked and how we wouldn’t ask for well done steaks. But she insisted we had and said that we could take it up with the manager. I was frustrated with being spoken to this way especially in front of my GF, so we just left. I’ll eat my steaks at Click’s in Pawnee from now on. TL;DR: Bad food, bad service, won’t come back.

The food was okay, but not great. The people who work there were very nice, but made a lot of mistakes — not sure if it was the wait staff, the kitchen, or both. I ordered a burger cooked medium and it was well-done, which is kind of ridiculous for a steakhouse. At least one of our items ordered wasn’t put in, and little things we asked for weren’t brought out(side of ranch dressing, extra plates, etc.). It wasn’t bad, but we won’t be back.

Nice little gem in Stillwater! We went for breakfast and I had something called The Outlaw. Biscuit topped with grilled jalapeños, brisket, eggs and gravy. This dish is proof that barbecue is always better down south! The grilled jalapeños had some excellent heat! Now for the cons: the scrambled eggs felt like the kind you’d see on a buffet… not a fan of the fake egg feel. My husband wasn’t a fan of the ham he got with his pancakes. But to me, you should always get beef south of St. Louis! This is a great, comfortable place if you find yourself in Stillwater. Friendly service, although a bit slow. If I didn’t feel like a lush for drinking in the morning in the eyes of Oklahomans, I would have loved to try a Bloody Mary!

Great service! Great food– lots of menu options & always a buffet. It’s a little out of the way, but worth the trip. The steak salad & cabbage rolls are worth trying. Of course you can’t go wrong with the steak!

So this little gem is definitely not in the heart of Stillwater. I found it through Unilocal and the family and I drove all the way out to the edge of town on Sunday for lunch before leaving my daughter and heading home after parent’s day.(ok, it’s like a 10 minute drive so not all that far). Really good food. That’s all that matters. A little weird, dead animals on the wall but I don’t think they are real? Very broad menu. My girls both had hamburgers and loved them. Hubby had chicken fried chicken and loved it and the mashed potatoes are yummy(I snuck a bit). I had the steak sandwich with cheese and onions(not the rib eye, the other one) and it was so yummy. I asked for a side of horseradish sauce and that made it perfect. The fries are fine but if I go back I’m totally subbing mashed potatoes.

Freddie Paul’s is an excellent restaurant. We had the grilled pork chop and the smaller filet mignon. Both were perfect! We both had Cesar salads, baked sweet potatoes, and we shared the cheese cake. In addition I had sautéed mushrooms with my filet. All the accompanying items were great! To complete the picture, imagine service the way you always hope for but rarely receive. We are out-of-towners, or I would be going back to Freddie Paul’s as often as I could!

Stopped in for lunch. Had the lunch sirloin. Cooked perfect and very tender. Waitress was very nice, not intrusive. Would certainly recommend it and will come again if I ever find myself in Stillwater.

We enjoy going to Freddie Paul’s. Prices are spot on, not too bad for a steakhouse. I’ve had steaks in the past, they are good. My favorite is the Pulverizer Burger. It’s a massive burger piled high with bacon and fried onion strings. Definitely recommend!

Definitely a hidden gem in Stillwater, this place has incredible food and great service. Not to mention the fact that pricing is pretty low compared to comparable restaurants. OK so technically, I did mention it. How could I not? The combination makes for a great bargain with good food. We had a group of 5 and called ahead to find that there was no waiting at 7:00pm on a Friday night. I’ve waited longer at 2am at Whataburger. I had the beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. What I loved about the beef was that it was tender juicy and obviously a quality cut. It wasn’t drowned in butter like many chain steak restaurants do to make you think it’s juicy. The flavor was comparable to filet mignon but half the price. Two people in my group had the pecan crusted chicken and raved about it. I actually tasted a bite but wasn’t willing to part with any more of my steak in exchange. It was good, but the tenderloin definitely won out in my book. My only complaint was that we were all so full that we had no room for any of the delicious sounding desserts that were available. But that’s not really a complaint since we all left fat and happy. I will definitely be back anytime I find myself in Stillwater.

Awesome steakhouse! I got the alligator as an appetizer and it was cooked and seasoned incredibly well(a lot of places don’t know how to do this right), and to add onto the deliciousness that was the alligator, I got the chicken fried steak which was a HUGE portion and absolutely delicious. I will be returning soon.

When the website, sign on the door and menu says breakfast is served til 11am and I show up at 10:30, Id expect breakfast. Not a nice move by the manager to make the hostess tell people that after they walk in. It’s not like this place is in the middle of town and close, also. Even if I ordered at 10:40, there is no reason the food wouldn’t be done by 11, so that’s no excuse.

So this is my first review. Freddie Paul’s Steakhouse was less than average. First off the waitress wasn’t very good. Slow and constantly had to repeat ourselves. Secondly we had 3 appetizers and one of them was cheese fries and boy they sure don’t like giving you any cheese on your fries. And besides that they were a bit burnt. Third and the worst experience I’ve had with ribs was here. They were sooo dry and tough. I love eating a good slab of ribs but these were terrible. My dad and sister and brother in law also got the ribs and we all had dry ribs. On Sunday rush hour, shouldn’t be having bad ribs like that. Oh and they were $ 14 for half a rack. Not worth for the tough and super dry meat. I don’t mind paying. I just want good ribs. My mom and wife on the other hand, they ordered steak and it was good. That’s what the 2 stars are for. Bad experience. Eat at your own risk.

Ups and downs. The server brought 3 rolls for 5 people. When queried she said they are told to serve 1 roll per 2 people but she would be glad to get more. The rolls are large but it seems odd to expect patrons to share a roll. Orders were taken promptly. There was a bit of a wait for the food. My steak was well seasoned and perfectly cooked but contained a lot of gristle. The steak knife was a joke and could barely cut the meat let alone carve around the gristle. My husband’s chicken fried steak was good but the portion was so tiny that I mentioned it to the server. She agreed and brought another piece. Others at the table had fried shrimp and catfish and proclaimed them good.

This was highly recommended by different local people and did not live up to expectation. The steak was tough and had no flavor and the baked potato tasted like someone had put honey in it. This was nothing like the steakhouses we have in Texas.

This is a favorite! On special occasions, we make the drive to come here. The steaks are fantastic, and the beef kabobs are superb!(Beware, though: they put squash on them, which they DON’T mention in the menu description of the kabobs – ugh!). Service has always been friendly and quick.

Got made fun of because I ordered a burger at a steak house but«The Pulverizer» was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The service was amazing and we had a group of 22 people.

For a steak in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma, you really can’t go wrong here. Given the other choices in town, this one is far superior. We’ve been several times and our food is always fresh and the steaks are cooked to perfection. The mushrooms have a really nice season to them, my only complain is they don’t bring you more! I wouldn’t suggest going on a big game night, because this place gets crowded quick.
