It was awful and the choices were too few. I don’t leave negative reviews– but in this case don’t think anyone should mistakenly eat here. Ish.

This place is a great buffet barbecue joint. It’s all you can eat for a very inexpensive price. All you can eat crab legs, are you kidding me. I usually go there and get a to go box and get food to go. Lunch is about $ 5 per pound, dinner is around $ 7 per pound. They are always replenishing the steam table with fresh food. I would recommend this place to everyone.

This place is great! There are other Mongolian grills and Chinese buffets in metro, but this one really stands out Let’s start with the Mongolian grill. The cooks are meticulous about scraping and cleaning the grill VERY often as they cook. This is so important, as dirty grills with burnt on past cooked food make all the food after it taste bad. They are also quite skilled at find that perfect balance in cooking time. The meat is ways cooked correctly and the vegetables cooked just right. The buffet is has a great selection including a salad bar, and a desert bar complete with fruit, hello and soft serve ice cream. For the most part the food is fresh, although they have their off days like any other joint. The part that really tips it off ice the fantastic price ! I’m not sure how anyone could say otherwise. For example a lunch buffet(all you can eat) including the drink and tax is only $ 9.19 ! Khans charges $ 14.95PLUS tax, and NO drink with much less vegetable variety. You can also get food to go by the pound for approximately $ 4.50 per pound. I got a huge square to go container of Mongolian grill(enough to fill a medium dinner plate) including a drink to go, and spent $ 6.65!!! You just can’t get better for the money.

I don’t know if they were having an off day or what, but the food was luke warm, the staff looked about as worn and tired as the dishes, and the variety was poor. They actually charge at the door, instead of after dinner, which is like saying, «It’s too late to change your mind, so F all your expectations.»

They have a pretty large buffet and a pretty nice chef-station, where you can choose your vegetables, meat and dressing and he will cook your noodles… But I ate there two times and two times I felt sick, even if the second one I ate less just to avoid going too far… I just felt sick a little less than the first time. I don’t know if the food has some glutamate or it’s me or whatever, but I won’t come for a third shot.

Very tasty buffet. The Mongolian BBQ is mostly why we came for lunch. It was nice to have a variety alongside the BBQ as well. We got first pickings to the food because it was so cold outside nobody was there until we were done. Staff was friendly and place is clean. I will definitely be going back

I went for lunch and had the buffet. I probably only got to taste about 1⁄8th of the slections they had out! All of it was very solid, especially the Egg Foo Yung!

The line for the buffet was out the front doors… the line for the Mongolian BBQ area was about ten to 15 people long… there was only one chef. The food was sitting at the warming areas it seemed all day. The seating is tight. I’m only five feet tall and petite. If I have to complain about seating room… imagine what most Americans would feel. Its a reasonable price but not worth all the discomforts and waiting.

This place brings me back to the days of high school at Chaminade-Madonna. There is where Chef Dane would produce for us this masterpiece one or two times throughout the school year. This was the type of day that the sub line saw very little action for sure. I like my Mongolian BBQ with a lot of crunchy veggies. Pea pods, baby corn, carrots, onions, broccoli, and water chestnuts. I could eat about 3 bowls of this stuff. I like to add all the meats to it as well. This particular place has re-invigorated my love for the stuff. Clean and friendly. Food is great! A MUSTGO if in the Eastern Minnesota/Western Wisconsin area. Come hungry! All you can eat style buffet. The servers do not really understand English and all are Chinese but the food was amazing and the service was also very good despite the language barrier.

By far the best Chinese buffet and Mongolian barbecue I have ever had, even better than the over hyped Great Moon. I crave this delicious place quite a lot and words can’t even express how good it is.

The first time I had Mongolian BBQ was in Taiwan in 1987 and I absolutely fell in love with it. I have to say it’s very hard to find authentic Mongolian BBQ in the Twin Cities but this place is as good as it gets! There are plenty of meat and vegetable choices, but the best part is the sauce selection. My favorite is my Mongolian style — 2 scoops of Mongolian, 1 scoop of Oyster, 1 scoop of wine, 1 scoop of sesame oil, 1 scoop of ginger water, ½ scoop of chopped garlic, and 1⁄3 scoop of hot chili oil. The Chinese buffet, salad bar, and desserts that accompany the BBQ are big pluses and even worthy of a visit without the BBQ. Dinner time and all day Sunday adds seafood to BBQ, sushi rolls, and crab legs. It’s affordable and a great place for a family get together. I try to go there at non-peak hours so the BBQ wait is none or short since they only have one grill.

This place has a huge buffet, with pretty standard fare. If my review were based on the buffet alone, I’d give it three stars, not four. Because the buffet has pretty average, slightly goopy American-Chinese dishes like General Tso’s Chicken and Beef Broccoli. Good salad bar with fresh fruits and vegetables. Desserts are mass-produced and not very flavorful, but there’s a soft serve ice cream dispenser with toppings to save the day. The real reason to go to Buffet City is the Mongolian BBQ. Great selection of good ingredients, really fresh, and plenty of tasty seasonings. Be cautious about hitting the BBQ on Sunday evenings, however, as their grill is small. They can only cook one portion at a time, and the wait can be long. Note: Sunday evening the buffet is pricier and includes seafood. Good, cheerful service by young people fresh from the Mainland. Hubby and I speak Chinese so they just about fall over when we talk to them. Remember, this is Stillwater!

When you want an Asian inspired buffet, well the good ones are few and far between. Buffets in themselves are a little scary to me anyway, with food poisoning lurking around every cold steam table, the swine flu potentially on the sneeze shield, and obesity an incipient problem. I digress, anyhow, this place, always crowded, has the formula down so it’s quite palatable. Great fresh stir-fry made to order. Lot of variety for meats and vegs and seasoning with recipes listed at the little«flavor» bar. Always get that as your main. Good cold bar with shrimp and such. Love the coconut shrimp here too.
