Gross. This place has really gone downhill since I have been there last. We ordered the Burnt Ends appetizer and it was basically fatty gristle with bbq sauce. The shredded chicken sandwich was not very good either. The chicken tasted old and the mashed potatoes tasted like the instant ones made out of a box. On a positive note our tap beers were excellent! We won’t be back.

Never had Famous Dave’s before but I love their Devil’s Spit BBQ sauce. Ordered takeout since we were staying in the area and were not disappointed. The BBQ was flavorful, and not overly soft. I had the ribs and burnt tips, have found a new love for slightly charred BBQ. The mister had baby backs and Georgia chopped pork which he loved from his previous experiences. Paired perfectly with our bottle of Malbec at the hotel :)

This quickly became our favorite area restaurant, great ribs, brisket, and after tonight, I know they have great burgers, too. Servers are always friendly and prompt with refills and the check. Join the P.I.G.(Pretty Important Guest) Club and get great coupons(often 15−20% off). Their lunch combos are a particularly good deal. Eat here if you want great BBQ.

as far as it goes with BBQ in the North Country it’s not bad i would go as far as saying as good as you will find north of KC, Daves Claim to Fame was that he has ate at Every BBQ Joint in the country? I’m skeptical but I’m sure he has hit a Bunch and so have I and I think he could of learned a few more tricks of the trade, Ribbons and Trophy’s mean Nothing unless the Food is Great All the Time!

Love the meats! But i dont care for hot pickles, or everything else on the side menu. Yet they dont offer a seasoned fry. Biggest peeve is the dang sales pitch. If i wanted someone to sell me something id go to a shoe store or something. Scrap the speech and hand out your focus items on an insert or something. Get some side items a normal person will eat. Maybe some regular mash. potatoes, some seasoned french fries, some regular coleslaw… It would be a good start.

Tough night at not so Famous Dave’s…we arrived two adults and one 4.5 year old to celebrate. The staff couldn’t get the drink order or appetizer correct or to our table(over 15 minutes after asking for them again). When drinks arrived they were the wrong drinks-when we asked for the correct drink the food runner seemed put out… really… Almost 40 minutes later we received our food order. My burger was cold and over cooked, my friends caesar was drowning in dressing(she asked for the dressing on the side) the kids burger was like a hockey puck… the little guys response was«yuck». I ended up asking for mayo the reply from the kitchen was that they don’t have any. The server ended up going in the kitchen and brought some out, but my cold burger was gone at that point. Note: we ordered our food when we arrived at the restaurant. This experience was a joke! What’s up with the management, kitchen staff, and others?! Very disappointing experience-I guess next time we pick a real restaurant and bar where staff knows what they are doing.

I like Famous Dave’s, no matter the location. However… we had the best food at the Stillwater location. The atmosphere is the nicest that we’ve seen and the service is fantastic! All I can say is yummy, yummy, yummy!

Wow. So we just moved here from Southern California, and saw this place a few weeks back, thinking we should try it out. Ok so tonight .we decided to go crazy. We got the All American Feast(which is enough for 4 people at least or leftovers for 2 days for just 2 people) plus a large salad. I am too full to go into to much detail but here is the basic– Beef Brisket– Tender, juicy, flavorful Pork Ribs– Lick the bone they are so good Corn on the Cob– Ehh… kind of soggy and soft it could have been better Beans– Holy crap I did not know beans could taste so good, and warm and smokey… yum squared Coleslaw– Really good, and they had a sort of horseradish twist which I loved. Catfish Finger– I don’t even like catfish and these were great and so was the sauce, which I could have eaten with anything Cornbread– warm, moist, and with a nice hint of honey … Basically the best BBQ I have ever had. ever. in my life. We felt like we just found the best jack pot ever, but we are going to have to space out our visits, because it’s not exactly heart friendly. but dammit that was the best damn meal I have had in a long long time from a restaurant… go Now. eat. enjoy.
