Very good lunch. Not a huge menu but the food and service are spot on.

As the person who lives next door/above you, you provide awesome entertainment on the weekends after you guys close. Apparently the alcohol is good because I’ve never seen someone leave sober. A word of warning, if you go and get too drunk and fall asleep on my car, you will be rudely woken up when we leave for work at 6:45. I say that because it has not happened once, not twice, but three different times. So if you’re looking for a good time, go there. The sandwiches are good and apparently the alcohol is great. Just remember to be courteous as there are townhouses and apartments above and next door to this bar.

We came here to watch the Denver Bronco game. We got there around 9:30 on a Sunday and were the first ones there. So pleased! Nice bartender(Ashley), nice regulars. The regulars make you feel welcome. The place has been there 33 years and is in pretty good condition. We had the soup and french dip. Both were good and hit the spot. It’s really small and filled up pretty fast after we arrived. This will be our go to bar when the Broncos aren’t playing on basic cable.

Basils is a nice small bar where you can hang out with your friends enjoy a drink and listen to music or watch Sports. As for the service, there’s only one bartender but he’s quick at taking drink orders.

Highly overpriced for a local place. House Chardonnay at lunch was $ 7.25 for a very small glass. We do not plan to return.

Great spot to hang out both inside and outside. This place is fairly small so on busy nights you might not get a seat. $ 1 to play any song from the jukebox, which if your with the squad you can bust some moves. Also props to Richard for taking care of his customers.

I love the small pub feel! The bartenders are so friendly. I walked in with my fiancé and the bartender greeted us warmly and asked us some questions about our drinking taste to better serve us! The drinks were reasonably priced and the social atmosphere was enjoyable! It is located close to UOP– and I would say it is represented as a college pub with its older regulars. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking to change up their Friday/Saturday night routine.

Cool hole in the wall spot. Nicer area with little«walk by» traffic. Relaxing kick-back vibe. Seats arent the most comfortable i’ve seen but the place is pretty clean which is nice. Bartenders are always nice and the drinks are good. Little pricey but not too bad

BASIL’S! I like this pub! How awesome it is for you to be within spitting distance of the Hilton. A great little place to get a drink until 2am. Situated under the Venetian Bridges complex, it’s a nice cozy little bar to hang out and let the hair loose. The drinks are fairly cheap, the atmosphere cozy, and the service fast. Don’t overlook this little place the next time you find yourself in the area!

Beers! A little small, but overall a pretty relaxed place to grab a few drinks. Slightly off the beaten path of Stockton. I feel like they probably attract most of their business from the surrounding apartment complexes.

Stockton doesn’t have the best selection for nightlife I’ve ever seen, but Basil’s gets pretty darn close to an establishment that you would find in a bigger city. Best thing about this place is the service. The blonde bartender is so friendly, remembers our names, and always checks up on us. The security guy is really personable and will stop and have a small talk about our night and our recent goings-on. Prices can get a little high for things I would expect to be lower(like their pitchers, for example) but the mixed drinks are strong. The atmosphere is generally very nice, and there isn’t a lot of riff-raff like some other establishments in Stockton.

I’m a fan! The drinks are perfect. They use the rum in the small black bottle. My favorite. I’ve enjoyed my time at basils.

I feel sorry for Stockton. It probably could be a decent city without all the murders but that makes the city a less than desired location. This place is conveniently located across the street from the Hilton. It makes for the safest walk after a night of drinking. They have many different TV’s for all you sports fans out there. They have a digital jukebox once the sports games are over that have a variety of music to choose from. There is a narrow smoking patio with a small TV so you don’t have to miss any plays if you go out for one. I cant speak to the food but there is a vending machine if the kitchen is closed. There also is a large selection of beer on tap and more in a bottle should you desire. They have a large assortment of liquor to choose from also! If I was forced to visit Stockton again, I would definitely come back here! –1 star for the uncomfortable bar stools.
