Applebee’s

I swam into the applebees with very hi expectations. Was berry disappointed. No grannysmith apples no gala’s no Fuji no honeycrisp wtf mate that’s bullsplit

Blech. I order the same thing at Applebee’s around the country. It is our emergency omg I have to stop driving now and eat place! (traveling around the country for a year or more). So I have eaten the 4 cheese mac and cheese with chicken all over the country. Usually with the Cesar salad. It is usually always the same decent comfort food. I can count on it.
NOT this time.
On the other hand our waitress was sweet, kept our drinks refilled and offered to tell the cook staff about it.
Gonna think twice next time… before stopping at Applebee’s again anywhere.

The appetizer was the chips n dip but we got the bottom of the bag… Just crumbs
My fiancé has the bourbon street chicken and forgot the sauce so it was very bland in taste.
I had the sirloin stir fry that was cold.
Al in all I have the rates one star. There is not no star option.
Staff seemed more into there looks the the job our waters were filled one time

Got some take out. It was bad. Overcooked chicken, bland white sauce, stale tortilla strips, burned rice. Messed up the salad order of all things. K, thanks bye.

Mediocre food… ribs were dry but tasted o.k.
Main issue was the staff. It appears as though they must all get along pretty well since they were constantly talking to each other rather than talking to the customers. Staff should be taught to focus on the customers instead of each other. By doing so, the service will undoubtedly improve.

The service is horrible and the food takes forever to come out. I would never go there again!

Applebee’s used to offer half or full size salads and now they only offer one size that’s comparable to the half size but priced at the full size. $ 13 for this jenky ass salad, $ 10.50 for the salad and $ 1.50 for the extra chicken strip that is not apparent. Gave 2 stars for at least having good customer service.

I am a usual customer at Applebee’s restaurants (Manteca/​Lodi) and I have kind of expected the service to be subpar but this is the WORST experience ever. They need to train their waitresses better, I give it that it was only her second day but she rarely came by to check on us and it took her over 4 times to split our bill correctly because she didn’t originally split it like we asked when we first sat down. Once the bills were somewhat right, we just wanted to pay and get out of there but they ended up charging one card twice for two separate bills and the manager didn’t even bother to compensate us or ANYTHING. I will not be returning! They should hire more experienced people or at least train them better.

My 3^rd time at this Applebees. Same great hospitality, same beautiful bartenders, same excellent food.

The boyfriend and I thought we’d try this place since we both haven’t been to an Applebee’s in a long time. Our server was Veronica M, and she wasn’t very good. Attentive but had a careless attitude and at times rude attitude. My boyfriend was more frustrated with the service as he said he felt like we weren’t welcome. I feel like since we are a young couple people assume we aren’t going to tip good. But my boyfriend is a server himself so he is extremely understanding when I am not, and he felt she was rude and was very offended by it. So that is saying a lot. We got the pick 3 appetizer (chose chips & salsa, boneless buffalo wings and chicken won ton things) they were all really good. I got the grilled oriental chicken salad and it was pretty decent. She forgot to bring my dressing and my boyfriend asked for ranch for his onion rings 2 times before the manager happened to walk by and we asked him to get his ranch and my dressing. The one thing that was a great thing was that even though our condiments and drinks were slow the food itself came out very fast. So kudos to the kitchen. :)

They are always so busy hostesses never great is stand and talk amongst one another. Then when they feel like it they’ll seat you and takes forever for a waiter even the ones is walking back and forth empty handed.

My husband and our two kids ate here, food was delicious. But what good is that if the customer service is horrible. They asked me rudely when we were going to leave because my baby’s stroller was in the way. I can understand wanting to move it, but pressuring people to leave. I’ll never eat at this one again! Smh.

You really can’t go wrong with the happy hour appetizer menu. We got all the boneless chicken wing flavors. Love the sweet potato fries.

I rarely go here. When I do, I’m never solo, and I’m usually ordering off of the 2 for 20 menu. Like Frank D. mentioned, the food is mediocre here at best. I don’t have any high expectations for the food and I don’t walk in expecting to be impressed by the customer service here. The food portion sizes vary a bit here. Even if you pay a couple dollars extra for a bigger portion, don’t be surprised if the food comes out the standard size. The entrée I pick here isn’t any surprise if you look over my past reviews. I happened to get a good size portion of french fries and broccoli on my plate and was pleased the food was warm enough on my recent visit here.
Don’t expect to be blown away by the food here. It’s an Applebee’s! This place mainly makes their money on the 2 for 20 menu and on alcohol. The company feels the need to invest money on making their menu look attractive, but there’s nothing on the menu anyone is incredibly impressed with.

Stopped here on a Friday night. Our waitress was horrible. Thought it was better to flirt with the men behind us and chat with friends. Took an 15 minutes to talk to the manager.
The food is good. But I won’t come again.

Over the course of watching 4 playoff and finals games, a party of two, Similar drinks, apps and entrees/​burgers, Applebees has come up the loser. On the plus side we had a great server, Taylor, who took care of us thru the length of Game 2, finals. On the negative, the slider appetizer, at 2 pieces was smaller, and more expensive than the 4 piece slider appetizer at B J’s and not even close in quality. Sweet potato fries were tasty, but, again skimpy.
No appetizer combo plate seen on the menu. Moving to entrée burger round, grandson did ok with a burger, but my friend and I were totally underwhelmed with a grilled chicken dish and a shrimp dish. 3 people tip included a c note out the door, or 33 bucks each. Big ups to Taylor, who earned 1 of the 3 stars herself. Thumbs down otherwise.

I come here for the mudslide. I like the drinks enough but the food is always sub-​par.
You barely get ANY dip with the spinach dip and what you do get isn’t that good.
We tried the riblets the other night and neither flavor was very good.
The fish and chips was ok but the service is always poor.
Also, why do they force their waitresses to push gift cards? It’s annoying and comes off as pathetic. I don’t want sales pressure with my dinner thanks.
If you come here, spare yourself the food and take a seat at the bar, that is the only way it’s even passable.

Had called in a pick up order for the pepper sirloin and whole grains, and didn’t think to check the box before I left so when I get to my friend’s place to give them their dinner, the box looked basically empty! There wasn’t any whole grains in it, and practically no meat or veggies either. Thank goodness I bought an appetizer as well that didn’t come out short or else I would have had to make another trip to get my friend food. It was embarrassing as it was providing that meal for them.
I don’t understand what cook in their right mind would think that entrée looked ok. Being a cook myself, it makes no sense. Needless to say I’m very upset with the food that I received, especially it being a $ 14 plate.

Dined here yesterday late afternoon. Arrived about 3:00 PM.
Hostess on duty was very efficient in getting us set (we requested the bar area seating). The hostess stated that there was a large party prior to our coming in that was being served in the bar area as well & that our server was working with them so she would be more than willing to get us started with our beverages. Great customer service.
Our server was pleasant & by the time she greeted us we already had our drinks–

Had the double crunch (bone in) wings, Thai Peanut & Hot. Yummy!
Finished with the churros in the hot chocolate syrup. Tasty!
Manger came to our table to inquire about our service and meal.
Good experience from a location!

I really don’t like Applebee’s. Why did I go back? To try the all-​you-​can-​eat crosscut barbecue ribs for $ 13.49 that they advertise on TV. If you’re inclined to do so, I would recommend to pass on it.
They’re no different than the rib tips that they have always had. They are deep-​fried (!!!) and then slathered and soaked in barbecue sauce. A big gooey mushy mess.
Comes with unlimited fries and coleslaw and both of those are nondescript.
Applebee’s really needs to reinvent itself.
The quality is just not there.
I can’t quite figure out why they are so busy…
