Twenty-five years ago, I ate lunch here, and it was pretty good, probably woulda been a 4-star place. Now, however, not so much. Ate here for lunch with my wife, and we were both really disappointed. The seafood phở had a nearly flavorless broth. Four shrimp and three chunks of fake crab were the extent of the seafood. The fried chicken lunch consisted of four chicken wings and a scoop of rice. No other side dishes were included, not even a garnish. The chicken was very tasty, and was definitely cooked to order, but that’s about the only positive I can say about it. It’s possible we picked the two duds on the menu, because other people had meals that looked more substantial. I’m not sure we’ll be back, tho.

This place rocks! The only thing I wish they would change is if they were open for dinner! Also a heads up, they only take cash. John’s Café serves Asian and American food. I prefer to stick to the Asian food since that is what it’ s cornered on. I have had the chicken terriyaki and chicken and broccoli and both were awesome. It’s a great sized lunch meal for a very decent price. Everything seems fresh and takes fantastic. Go here now!
