The wet burritos are the best. The workers are really nice too. This place is inexpensive which is also a plus.

This shop is very convenient for it being only .02 miles away from my house.
I’ve been to this place a few years ago for their marinated beef to BBQ with my family. The meat was the best I’ve had so far! It’s extremely flavorful, overall delicious! That’s when I knew I’d be going back for sure.
This time I’m pregnant! I’ve been craving for tamales so badly. The thought of it made my stomach feel horrible! I was hoping to price check a few other restaurants, but couldn’t find a simple menu like Maria’s. First thought about how $ 5.50 may be pricey for only 2 tamales. Then I thought about my first experience there plus all the Unilocal reviews so I decided to give this shop another try. So when I picked up my order, the tamales looked small. Turns out it was actually more than any other tamales I’ve had. The way it’s packed is just shorter and definitely more stuffed. Though the chicken stuffing was a bit on the dry side, the hot sauce helped out a lot to change the appetite. It was delicious!!!
I have to say I am overly satisfied.

Very disappointed! I bought a dozen ½ tamales. pork and chiken and they tasted nasty the meat was very dry and hard did not have flavor! They were probobly left over from days.!if your going to sell tamales make them fresh! dont you think?! Waste of my money but never again will go back to this place for food!

Came here pretty early the other day. Around 9:30AM and was craving a burrito. They were on the way to my sisters house so I stopped by and got two burritos (buy one get one half off with Unilocal check in). Sadly, they didn’t have tripas ready that early in the morning so I got two carne asada burritos. The burrito was ok. It was mostly rice and barely any meat. A different taste too. From the looks of the shop (they sell everything to make all sorts of Mexican dishes), I thought it would be super good. Next time, I’ll just wait until the taco trucks open.

Very tasty breakfast menu at this family run business. The nopales burrito and machaca are my favorites here. I have also tried their huevos rancheros plate and it was good too. I like that their food tastes homemade and isn’t over salted. Their meat market looks very fresh as well so I will keep them in mind next time I BBQ. Stockton does not have a lot if good food so I come here regularly it is one of the best places in town.

Still my go to place when I need that fix of Mexican food that taste like my grandmas cooking. The carnitas are awesome, chili Verde is to die for. OMG i am getting hungry just thinking about it.
We found this place on accident. We lived just a few miles down from there, when my mom was alive she was doing chemo and would crave mexican food during treatment, along with my grandmother who was doing the same. My husband and I would stop here in the morning as soon as they open and we would get the breakfast and take it to them.
We continue the family tradition when my mom passed away from cancer and my grandmother did as well. This is my comfort food when I have those days where I need to remember my child hood. All the stuff they have in the little store were stables in my house.

Omg Love this place, best food ever. They cook the closes that I can get to my families. The super burrito is awesome I always get the chili Verde burrito. Try the family meal where you choose the choice of meat and get rice and beans and tortillas. The nachos are awesome. Tamales are so good they are worth the price.
I have not had one bad thing and the service is great. We found this place when my mom and grandma were having chemotherapy it became tradition that when they would go I would go get them breakfast or lunch. My daughter loves their food.

Stopped in the other night to have more of Maria’s crispy chicken tacos. Last time I had them they were very flavorful and yummy. This time they were quite bland. The tacos were tasteless even after I added salt and salsa. Also, they use small diced pieces of chicken and I prefer larger chunks.
If I stop in again I will try something else… maybe a burrito.

Tried this place for the first time last night. I had the meat quesadilla (cheese, asada, guac, lettuce, sour cream) and a crunchy chicken taco.
The quesadilla was pretty good but the meat distribution was poor. The guacamole is similar to Tepa’s but nowhere near as runny so that was okay. I think having the super suiza from El Foralito may have ruined it for others.
The crunchy chicken taco I did enjoy better. Nice crispy taco shell that wasn’t greasy and a good portion of chicken.
I did take a menu with me so I can try other items next time and they serve breakfast all day so I may be back for a bfast burrito sooner than later.

I’ve passed by this place for years but I never stopped. well I did today. I got two chicken tacos and a small chips and salsa to go.
The service was friendly and they make things fresh.
My tacos were on the small side. two fit in a hamburger box. I loved the crunchy aspect and the fillings are obviously scaled to a small taco. The sour cream on top is a nice touch.
The chips and salsa were okay to me but I wouldn’t order that to go again. Prices are very reasonable and I will stop by and try another item, maybe a breakfast burrito.

Ok, you want authentic mexican food, this is the place. The chile verde Wet burrito was really good. My Sister and I ordered 2 burritos. One wet chili verde and the other carne asada topped with chili verde. They were both super burritos, my sister could not finish it all so she took the rest home. The service was great, inside was a nice atmosphere. The lady was very helpful in helping us make a selection, with the sauces and explained to us the difference between the verde and Chile Colorado. One is red and the other is green. The lady was kind enough to bring out the sauces for us to try. We also ordered the horchata and my sister said its the best one she ever had, I have to agree also. Plus if you check in, they have a buy one burrito get the 2^nd burrito half off. Offered here on Unilocal.ENJOY :) definitely will be coming back again.

I found this place by accident awhile ago, they have THE best crunchy tacos you can get anywhere. I live on the other side of town and they are well worth the drive.

Man the food here is good and priced right. I’ve been there two tines and have been satisfied with both things I’ve tried. First time I went there I got a supreme chicken burrito and man it was delicious. The second ting I went there I got some carne asada nachos and they were pretty dang big. Not only big, they were the best Naxos I’ve ever had hands down. Will be going back again for sure.

Do not waste your money. i decided to go there for lunch based on Unilocal reviews. I order steak burrito but it was more like beans and rice burrito. Burrito was filled with beans and rice. And hardly any meat in it. Not more then 2 table spoon of beef in it .
They charge you for guacamole which I order but there is hardly any guacamole in my burrito.
So no 2^nd chance.

Some of the best Mexican food in Stockton! There chicken super nachos or crispy chicken tacos are my go to! Everything on the menu is delicious! Also they are super nice people.
Try this place its worth it!

I’ve been meaning to come here for a while. Made it in on this overcast Sunday for lunch.
I decided on the wet chile verde burrito based on a Unilocal pic.
It was YUMMAY! Good size, pork was tasty, and the sauce was the verdiest!!! Bits of crunchy onions were a bonus. I need to go back soon and try more menu items. Great tamale smell inside the establishment made me think of mom’s house on Christmas.
