As I predicted, this place is CLOSED! Just over a year in business, and the owner has already pulled the plug on «McHenrys» and has re-branded it a Lyons. But, with the same owner, you’ll almost certainly have the same cooks and staff that helped it fail as McHenrys. NOTHANKS! Lumberjacks is still way better.

Came for the 3.99 breakfast. Added a side for 1.99. This price was pretty good and I left the restaurant content. Our wait was long but our waitress was nice.

First time coming to this place. I feel bad because I often overlook it because it’s nicely hidden behind starbucks and lumberjacks. I came for a babyshower so I had the breakfast menu. Truly excellent food. I know I have to come back and try the dinner menu. I do recommend this place. The interior was beautiful and our server Was attentive. I only gave it four stars because I’d like to try more

This is the third time I’ve been here and probably the WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE I have ever experienced in my life. We got seated before this couple, and they got their order taken before us and their food. When CLEARLY we were there before them. The«chef» literally checked on that couple about 50 times before coming to us. I felt so racially discriminated against. They weren’t even apologetic about the situation. I would give this place 0 stars if possible. Also, they got our order wrong and couldn’t even split the check. What kind of SHIT is this. Just to mention, this was our SECONDCHOICE after Lumberjacks. LUMBERJACKSISSOOOOOOMUCHBETTERBTW.

65 years old and I used to work in the restaurant industry so I am very picky! That said my breakfast this morning is most likely the best EVER! My server was awesome but the food was better. Best omlet I have ever had, coffee was hot and fresh, potatoes were perfect. I am going back as often as I can.

Went here with my wife for a late breakfast on a Monday. The quiet and clean atmosphere was nice. We were greeted very warmly and seated immediately. Good. The menu starts very affordable under 5 dollars and goes up but you won’t find any hugely overpriced entrees like you will at a LOT of places. Got the All American Breakfast and my wife got the Breakfast Burrito. For under ten bucks each the servings were huge, flavorful, and served with no lack of service. Worth coming back!

Ordered the patty melt with fries. Food was great. Gonna try steak next time. Pretty classy joint, Flat screens everywhere in the bar area. Love the 49ers room, love the jazz room, beautiful bar, and even a banquet with a stage! It’s a great hangout spot with friends, and it’s also kid-friendly. Customer service was great. Heard there would be a comedy night coming soon.

Slowly upping the stars for this place. I have been struggling with my reviews for McHenry’s. I know they have had their«start-up» problems and have been trying hard to rectify them. It is starting to show. I went here tonight for two reasons… I really wanted breakfast for dinner and I saw the breakfast steak and egg special that was advertised in the PennySaver… soooo, I took the plunge. Note: you do not need to clip the ad, they offer the special for $ 5.99 all day 7 days a week! That’s a great deal right there. No hour or day restrictions. First thing I notice driving south on I-5 from Hammer Lane was that the restaurant and parking lot was very dark… so dark in fact that I was wondering if they were open or if they had gone out of business. Well, they were open, just not busy. Big issue. if you want people to know you are there and are open for business, LIGHTUPYOURBUSINESSWITHBRIGHTLIGHTS! The manager said they are working on it. I was seated and offered the menu as soon as I walked in. I already knew what I wanted… the steak and egg special! Choices were. how do you want your steak and eggs cooked, hash-browns or country potatoes and type of toast. I opted for the buttermilk biscuits and asked about country gravy to top them off with. Fifty cents extra she said. Let’s do it. I am glad that I did… the gravy was really good. The biscuits could us a bit of improvement… not really bad but they could have a bit more body, maybe fluffier. Main course was very good, also. Eggs and steak(4 oz) cooked as ordered and crispy hash browns. Service was spot on. I spoke with the manager for a bit and he said they are trying hard to get it right and do take into consideration the Unilocal reviews. He invited me to stop in on Sunday’s and take a look at their brunch buffet offerings. He promised no more undercooked bacon! If I want breakfast for dinner again, I certainly would consider McHenry’s! And don’t forget, they have really good clam chowder on Fridays.

Saw some of the negative reviews on here and was a bit weary. Went ahead gave it a try since everyone has different tastes. Sure glad we decided to give it a try. I had the Shaved Prime Rib sandwich with Fries and added Monterey Jack cheese to the sandwich. It was very good and hit the spot. My wife had the Santa Cruz Melt with Sweet Potato Fries and she said it was very good as well. We would definitely come back again.

1st time visit and I was very pleased! 2 family members ordered the prime rib which was a special at $ 11.99. They both enjoyed their food. which were good portions. I must admit I was apprehensive about trying their Indian food as it appeared to be an American Food place. I asked the server if the Indian food was the real deal? He assured me it was. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, one of my favorites. I will admit it was awesome and a large portion for only $ 7.99 I also ordered nhan and it was made fresh! No complaints… truly enjoyed! I agree more people need to give it a try! Thank you to our server Robert for great and attentive service!

Read other friend’s reviews and decided to hit the place twice before doing mine. Went Saturday evening with 3 other people and we were all quite pleased. Orders ran the gamut from a 16 oz prime rib, a dinner plate, and a sandwich order to a breakfast order. All came out fairly much together all nicely done and service on point. I did not do the prime, my son did, but he was quite happy with it. I opted for a pastrami and swiss on rye with sweet potato fries, Another bit of pastrami wouldn’t have hurt but still very good. My granddaughter went the breakfast rout and had waaaay more tha she could eat. Second trip my grandson and I slipped in for a burger and a drink in the bar. Both his Pepper jack burger and my patty melt had large patties, cooked to order and nice portions of traditional fries to go with it. He had a well rum and coke, I, a Jack and coke, 3.00 for the well drink, 5.75 for the Jack and coke. Out the door for 35 bucks wih drinks. Saving the buffet for another weekend, and then will update.

Good restaurant. Food tastes fine with a reasonable price. Sadly not too many people there today on a Monday at 1:00. Give them a try or thy may be gone. Honestly feel they aren’t busy not die to their product but due to their Mack of visibility. Hope they make it!

Ok so when you go in you can ask for Indian food and the greeter will take you to this back room filled with Indian food. The food is ok. Buffett style. Lots of selections. Tasty. My only problem is that some of the hot food was not hot.

So I waited a while to write this because I wanted to come from a cool, level-headed perspective… Okay… So we’ve passed by this place many times(since it’s right by me) and finally decided one day to try them out for lunch. It also was a LIFESAVER that there was a coupon for $ 10 off of a $ 20 or more purchase that came in the mail(thank GOD… I’ll explain why later). We browsed through the menu at home and decided to do a take out order. I. Was. Starving and everything sounded so good so we decided on(for him) the All American burger and for me the Chicken Alfredo pasta and the Shrimp Scampi. Yikes. I feel like im rambling so I’ll cut to the chase… Burger — According to my bf was okay… Have had better, nothing special. The Pasta — Gross. First of all the smell of the broccoli was so strong it was almost unbearable. It was like the broccoli had been left out and had that rotten smell. The sauce was(HAD to have been) store bought and the noodles were under cooked and stuck together… The chicken was hilarious. Store bought Foster Farms strips. Nothing went together. I couldn’t make this up. We tossed the whole tray in the trash. Smh. The Shrimp Scampi was plain, already cooked shrimp with some minced garlic thrown in. I literally went in my kitchen, took out a pan added my own mix w/the Shrimp and made my own scampi… Sad. The reviews I read from the other McHenry’s just trashed the place. I really wanted to believe different but as another reviewer put it, I also wouldn’t eat here if they were giving the food away for free! I was eternally grateful for the coupon because just thinking of the little money I did spend there saddens me… 1 star for the great customer service because he really was nice but the food was just… Sad.

Not a good first experience. The theming is really strange doesn’t really seem like a sports bar. We were seated in a booth in a back room and it was really warm. Took 40 minutes to receive our food and when we did one order was the wrong sandwich and the server forgot to put in one of the meals. She was apologetic but it was still frustrating. The good was good, nothing special, typical diner fare.

Tried the new McHenry’s tonight for Happy Hour. I called ahead to inquire as to what the Happy Hour specials included. The girl who answered the phone was very vague and unsure so I asked her if there was someone she could ask. She put me on hold saying she would ask her manager. When she returned to the line, she said the specials were half off beer, house wine and appetizers. We ordered a glass of house wine for me and we shared calamari and buffalo wings. The food quality was okay, nothing to write home about but not bad. The service by our waitress was outstanding, she really did a good job. When we received the check the wine was half off, but it was only a $ 1 discount off of each appetizer. I told our waitress that I had called and what I was told. She relayed that information to the manager who refused to honor what we were told on the phone. The place was NOT busy and I had called less than an hour before. He(or she) could have easily asked the person who answered the phone what I was told. The manager did not come over and relay his/her decision, instead he/she forced our server to deliver the news. The biggest disappointment was that an SUV parked right next to the front door, literally 10 yards from the reception desk was vandalized in broad daylight. The rear passenger window was broken. Based on the layout of the location of the parked car and the reception desk I don’t see how that could have gone unnoticed. Based on the lack of good management and security I would have to warn people to not patronize McHenry’s. If you feel you must try it, then park in the adjacent grocery store parking lot and walk over.

Yay, a new breakfast place in Stockton… that and finally someone filled the vacancy that Le Bistro left. A friend of mine scouted this place out as we needed to catch up. That and breakfast IS the most important meal of the day. The look of the restaurant hasn’t changed an iota. Well except for the lights in the lounge area… super bright, I would have needed my shades in order to feel comfortable eating in this area. We were seated in the dining room. The waitress was a bit hesitant but very eager to please. I ordered a «build your own omelette». It was well prepared not too eggy and done just the way I like. They did not offer any chicken or turkey sausage/bacon choices so I was allowed to sub an additional veggie item without incurring additional cost. Both my friend and I suggested the waitress tell the manager/owner it would be nice to have some non-beef/pork options for breakfast meat –she promised us she would. The fried potatoes were really really good, crispy and seasoned to perfection but unfortunately, they were luke warm. I asked for rye toast and it was a big 2 thumbs up… marble rye with a sourdough like texture and taste. Coffee is of a diner quality, nothing to write home about. All in all my breakfast was solid-no wait like Chucks but I’d say about 4 – 6 $‘s more than I’d pay at my número uno breakfast joint of choice. I’d like to see lower lights in the lounge area, and perhaps a style/design/brand that sets McHenry’s apart from the former tenant Le Bistro. The staff was friendly and attentive but may need some polish and perhaps a crisper look.

I heard there was a new restaurant here but didn’t realize this was only their 4th day since they opened. I had never been here when it was LeBistro so I don’t know if it has changed or not. We were greeted by two friendly hosts and seated promptly. The décor is very simple and generic. I had not heard of this place being a sports bar as other reviewers mentioned, and there is certainly no indication of such in the restaurant area. Maybe the bar area has TVs or something? This place could definitely use a theme of some sort if they want to compete in this town. The server was friendly and fairly well educated on the menu considering it’s a new restaurant. What she didn’t know, she was able to find out quickly enough. Drink service was quick, which is a pet peeve of mine. I only wish they had beer on tap(bottles only). Now for the food: we had the prime rib and the liver and onions. The portion sizes were decent. The food tasted good. Nothing really to rave about nor complain about. My only complaint was the veggies. It was the Normandie Blend like they sell at Costco, which I’m not real fond of. I wish they had an alternate choice. I rated tonight’s meal based on this one visit, but if they want to keep the stars up they’ll need to find a way to stand out in the crowd. Stockton is notoriously brutal on new restaurants, especially the one-offs. We’ll see how long this one lasts.
