Michael’s New York Style Pizza

This has been one of my favorite pizza joins in town for a long time! Definitely high quality pizza compared to some of the other options in town. You get what you pay for and can taste the difference. It’s a nice enough place to eat in, but I usually get it to go.

BEST PIZZA EVER! I can’t even begin to describe how incredibly delicious the pizzas are at Micheals, been coming here for years. and its absolutely my favorite pizza place… Love it!

I grew up eating Michaels but the reason why I’m giving 4 stars is because our waitress had horrible customer service never checked in on us, gave us warm beer mugs (while all the other customers got cold ones) never brought refills we had to ask for some.
Gina needs to get on her girls about their customer service.

Not that great. Especially for all the hype i hear about it. Disappointing. First and last time for this place.

Michaels is a good place for a decent pizza that’s flavorful and delicious. Overall this pizzeria is a good place for kids as well because of the fair pricing and clean establishment. We had the meat combo and found it to be very generous with toppings. Will come back for repeat business as its close to my 2^nd childs dentist.

So yesterday I went to have dinner with my family at this place an see they were open til 9 pm we arrived at 8:30 pm exactly just to be told that they were not taking any sit down orders that we could order to go, that was kind of odd to me so I called to speak to the manager «Leonard» was his name he then told me that they ran out of dough found that to be odd as well when the young lady in the front said we could make an order to go. don’t know who the owner is of this establishment but I don’t think that he/​she has the right kind of people running their business I would not recommend this place to anyone with this type of stuff going on if your hours say open til nine you should take care customers until then not cut hours short because you want to get home early or have plans

This restaurant has horrible customer service. Been going there for 10 years because the pizza is great, but finally had enough of it. Recently I called in an order and they said it would be 30 minutes. I arrived 40 minutes later and the girl said it would be another 5 minutes after I paid. After 20 minutes of waiting I finally ask what is going on and they said they made the wrong pizza and had to make it again. I was waiting all that time and they never bothered to tell me what was going on. I got my money back and left. This is just one of many examples of their lack of caring for their customers that I have experienced. I will be taking my business to VIP Pizza from now on.

i had always drove past this joint and always saw it busy. I finally tried it with my mother and OMG, I had been missing out for such a long time! The greenbeans are really good that add a spicy kick to them, dipped in their ranch turns them into a beautiful creation. Their salads taste better with the ranch that they have.
You can taste the difference in the meats, tasty and flavorful. Be careful if you ask for extra crispy crust. That usually ends up getting burned in the bottom.
Make a phone order and reservations on a Thursday, Friday and Sat night as those days tend to get jammed packed and the waitress has a hard time keeping up. If you dont do this you will be waiting a good hour and a half for your pizza if not more. The long wait and poor service o are the only things keeping me from giving this place 5stars. Another waitress to help would be nice or the girls in the front can do a little more working and a little less chatting and looking at their nails. That would prob earn this place that extra star.
Everything I have tried, have all been excellent in taste!

First time at this pizza spot. You can tell that they use fresh ingredients. The crust is also really good and thick. Will be back.

Ate here for years my daughter’s cheese pizza was burned on the bottom. To top it off my atm card was cloned by employees here fraudulent charges were made. Stay away getto. place has gone down hill.

Very good pizza! The service was very good and the place was nice and clean. We did order a side of wings and they were very good as well.

I have been going to Michael’s for decades. Usually excellent, but this past week was disappointing. The service was rather slow and the place was almost empty. To make matters worse, we were charged for part of the order we didn’t receive. Poor attention to detail!
Food was great though.

Wow… We just enjoyed an amazing pizza. Definitely one of the best pizzas I have had in a while. I give this pizza 2 bags of popcorn and 4 sodas!

Good pizza but order is never ready on time. A little over priced for what you get. Nice and clean inside. Friendly staff.

By far, the best pizza I’ve ever had. This is my favorite pizza joint. I’ve tried NY pizza, I’ve tried SF pizza, I’ve tried all kinds of pizza. This one is the one for me. (Ironically, it’s spose to be NY style.)
I am always impressed by their pies. We ordered a simple pepperoni pie w/​a quarter of chicken pesto (?) (Yes, you can order a quarter) and boy was it delicious. The pepperoni was flavorful, the cheese was the perfect kind of cheesy gooeyness that every pizza unfortunately does not have. At Michael’s they get it right. The chicken pizza was yummy as well, although it was topped w/​fresh, big slices of tomatoes which I’m not super into on top of my slices.
We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread which is probably the best decision of our lives b/​c it was soft but crispy and garlicky like garlic bread should and had an amazing amount of cheese. Also, their ranch is on point.
They give you 15% off if you’re a UOP student too! Our tab was fabulous. (My UOP friend came w/​us :)) Too bad they don’t take SFSU ID’s.)’:

No other pizza place even comes close in my opinion. Their pizza is hands down my favorite in town. So worth the drive from the other side of stockton for their food. Love that they use tons of good toppings, while other pizza places always seem so skimpy. Would eat here far more often if my husband didn’t like round table so much, bleh.

Michael’s Pizza is one of those spots that I’d have like million check-​ins by now if Unilocal was around back when I was growing up.
It’s Friday night so a nice Michael’s pizza sounds perfect! Actually pizza is perfect anytime! Right? I phoned in my order of a large pie with extra sauce. I’m in love with their sauce sauce! Half pepperoni and half people’s choice.
Cheese fresh, toppings tasty and fresh (not from a can), sauce has excellent spice with a touch of sweetness. Crust is not chewy or doughy but light and cooked perfectly. No giant air bubbled crust! Pizza guys makin the pies were wearin Raider and A’s hats so I know my pizza was made in good hands. Lol! Their pizza is consistently delicious.
On tap they have 7 brews. Lagunitas IPA, Bud Light, Corona, Coors Light, Sierra Nevada, 805, and… forgot the last one.

Everything at Michael’s is delicious. I’ve had the combo, Gilroy, veggie, and the pear/​Gorgonzola. My faves are the Gilroy, and if I’m wanting something really different, the pear/​Gorgonzola. We always get a salad, and their ranch dressing is the bomb!
We’ve also tried the garlic bread, and that is also very good.
My only complaint is when they are busy, you don’t see your waiter/​waitress all that much. When they do get around to you, they are always pleasant.

This is my second visit here, after a cheer leader competition at UOP. Locals recommended it me and I was impressed each time. Last night was the big Niner/​Raider game so it was quite noisy and packed. After the game it was normal that we could have a normal conversation without raising our voices. The atmosphere was to me locals and family oriented, perfect for after the competition down the road at UOP.
Each of the three families ordered separately and no one was left disappointed. The food came hot, the pizza crust was thick and just a little chewy (how I like thicker crust), and generous toppings!
We left with leftovers, ok in my book! The kids asked for ranch and I was surprised they charged until I saw what came. The ranch came in a bowl almost the size I use for cereal at home so I wasn’t that upset. Next time I told the kids to ask first.
Other than that, I would definitely go back each time we go to UOP for a cheer lead competition or when I’m in the area. The same goes for the 3 other families that met us there
