Overall, very disappointing experience. I came here to see if they can help me sleep better, but I just ended up wasting a bunch of money. Its a great facility, and I do not doubt they help people, but for me, it was just not worth it. Appt 1: they gave me a bunch of paperwork to fill out. It was about 15 pages, which I took home and took the time to do as thoroughly as possible. Once I finished filling out the paperwork, I called back to set the follow up appointment. Appt 2: Once I got into the room(with all my paperwork filled out) the doctor came to see me and when I gave him all the paperwork, he just took it and slipped it underneath his laptop. He then proceeded to ask me every single question on the paperwork while he entered my answers into his laptop. Really? Why would you set an initial appointment just to give me paperwork to fill out, then once I do, you call me back in for another appointment just to trash the paperwork and enter the info yourself? I know why… because EACH appointment gets billed to me. Yes, $ 75 per visit. What a rip off. So far I’ve spent $ 150 and have gotten nowhere. So anyhow, based on my profile I am recommended for a sleep study, where they will hook up a bunch of wires to me while I sleep, and they will track my sleep patterns and monitor me for sleep apnea. They told me my insurance doesn’t cover the study, and I will have to pay for it on my own($ 800+). Figured it was worth it. So I booked my appointment for the overnight sleep study, and when I arrive, they explain to me how it works. Once all the wires were hooked up to me, they said they would let me sleep for about half the night, which I assume is to get a baseline reading, then halfway through the night, if I show signs of sleep apnea, they said they *MIGHT* hook me up to a CPAP machine to see if it improved my sleep. Cool. I understood, and went to sleep(or at least tried to). The walls are thin and you can hear all of the noises outside and in other rooms. I heard every sneeze and cough, along with someone else snoring. Midnight rolls around, and I still cant sleep. Finally, the nurse comes in and I ask for some earplugs… it did the trick. I sleep, but to my suprise I never was woken up to get hooked up to the CPAP machine. I wonder why not? Appt 3(which costs another $ 75): Doctor reviews my stats for the sleep study, and says I stopped breathing 5.5 times an hour. He then proceeds to tell me I should purchase the CPAP machine to help me sleep better. Me: How much will that cost? Dr: I dont really know, but your insurance should cover it. Me: Wait a minute. They didn’t even hook me up to the machine in the sleep study, so before I spend the money I want to know this actually works. Dr: Oh, then we can do another sleep study, and this time, they will hook you up to the CPAP machine Me: Is that included in the price of the original sleep study? Dr: No, it will be a separate cost. Me: WTF? Your staff told me after the initial appt that I am responsible for the sleep study cost and that it wont be covered. I told you that, and now you want me to pay for ANOTHER sleep study? Dr: Oh, I forgot that your insurance doesnt cover this. Here’s what we can do… we will sell you the CPAP for the«cash» price, since your insurance doesn’t cover it. You can check with the front desk for the price. They call me a few days later and let me know its $ 900(this is the«cash» price). I still haven’t found out if the machine works or not, but they still want to sell me one… I said«I’ll think about it»(which is code for THANKS, BUTNOTHANKS). All in all, they charged me $ 1000+ and I got ZERO answers. I don’t sleep any better than before. In fact, thinking about how they screw people makes me sleep even worse. Seems like they are just in it for the money. Each visit is a charge, the sleep study is a charge, and the follow up to the sleep study is a charge. Why don’t they just include all of this in 1 price? I COMPLETELY regret coming to this place because its all $$$$$ to these people. I get that people run businesses to make a living and I will gladly pay for services and products that help. But seriously, with these types of business practices I don’t understand how these people sleep at night(pun intended)!!!
