I went here to order onion rings and fries. I didn’t see a counter to order at. I stood and waited to order. When the waitress helped she was nice. The counter has so much stuff on it we were reaching over things. I placed my order and waited about 15 minutes for it. The young girl took other order to their tables she wiped her face and nose with her hands and didn’t bother to wash them. Thank goodness my order was bagged and ready to go and she didn’t touch it :/The fried were awful and the onion rings were salty never again will I go there.

I’ve literally been sitting at the counter for 15 minutes waiting to be helped but there were only 2 people working the shift the managers need to do something about having back up when it gets busy they’re was a family of 5 in front of me and my boyfriend and also a couple that left because nobody was taking our order.

My boyfriend had a sweet tooth and wanted a shake so we came here. I’ve been to Payter’s once, about 15 years ago and it was for dessert. From what I remembered it tasted fine but again that was over 10 years ago and I’m only 26. Anyway, I truly wish I could give them ZERO stars. There seems to be a common denominator after reading other reviews(wish I would’ve done so prior). Their customer service is ATROCIOUS and they take FOREVER. We walk in at 9:50, an hour prior to them closing. The manager is on his laptop at the counter. He says he’ll have someone help us. We stand there awkwardly for about 5 minutes when my boyfriend starts to ask him a question about the smoothies, he cuts him off and calls the girl behind the counter over to help us. God forbid he have to answer a question *rolls eyes*. Whoever the girl is with darker, mid back length hair, about 5’2″ really lacks any sort of people skills. She just walked over and stood there, no hello, how can I help, nothing! I order a razz-me-too smoothie, my BF ordered the butterfingers shake. Fast forward to about 20 minutes later(why it takes so long to make a shake and smoothie is beyond me) she just puts the shakes on the counter and walks away. No thank you, here you go, nothing. Mine was dripping all down the sides of the cup so I had to wait another couple minutes to get her attention so I could have a napkin. All the while the manager is sitting right there and could’ve helped as well. I was ready to throw that smoothie in her face when it was all said and done. My smoothie was really below subpar, they aren’t touching Jamba Juice by a mile. I ended up throwing it out. My BF said his shake was mediocre as well. Safe to say we will NEVERBEGOINGBACKHERE, EVERRRRR

Not starting off well. Young lady taking our order not friendly at all and informed about the menu. Asked what came on the bacon burger. She says its on the menu, I look. It’s says bacon & cheese. Then she says its says on the top what come in the burgers. I look again and nope no indication what is on the burger. She still doesn’t tell me, so I tell her well what I don’t want on my burger because she clearly wasn’t going to offer any help. Mind you the owner was seated about 4 chairs down. Please owner treat all YOUR customers as if you want them to return. Half order of fries arrived well before our meals. Not sure why these didn’t arrive with our sandwiches? Why not bring the mozzarella sticks first as those were the appetizer NOT the fries. The fries by the way tasted very oily, like the batter was holding the oil and the fries had been sitting a little too long, not served HOT. Shame because these fries usually are very good served FRESH and Hot. Mozzarella sticks arrived 5 minutes later(yes I kept time) Needed marinara sauce. First one had no cheese, no flavor other than oil tried a second one. Same thing NO cheese no flavor, unless oil is a flavor. :(they were served warmer than the fries on the upside. Our food arrived and my fries were served hot. My burger was flavorful but could have been flattened or used a smaller bun. As the bun really swallowed up the patty. Hubby ordered a steak sandwich and onion rings. He didn’t get onion rings they gave him fried zucchini. He was fine with that. His sandwich was good and flavorful. Once our food was served no one came out to check on us at all. Tables outside were filthy dirty with a layer of dust or dirt on EACH table. Not to mention food, crumbs and a plate left out. Salt shaker was gross, absolutely gross. The lid would not stay on and spilled all over. If you knew it was not tightening up why give us the salt shaker? Terrible experience here and sad thing is the owner could care less about my experience. Food not good enough to warrant a return. 2 stars for a decent burger and steak sandwich.

Great food, good location, service… Is a shot in the dark. Sometimes food comes out timely, others you wait over 30 minutes for a burger and shake. I know many people who find the ordering and seating system confusing, but this wasn’t a selling point for me. Think a locally owned Moo Moo’s and you aren’t far off. Just wish the servers were more helpful, or at least quicker

Frys were spot on. Kids meal was a good size. A sign would be nice to say order here or if the staff would say order when you’re ready as it can be a bit confusing. Lastly the dining room could have been cleaner.

Ate here once about 2 years ago & the customer service was horrendous. Stood around for almost 10 minutes before anyone greeted me & took my order. Then sat for another 25 before my food arrived. It’d be one thing if it was busy, but it wasn’t. The food was great, but the service was horrible. Today I decided to give them another chance. Walked in & there were lots of customers standing around. Stood around for maybe 15 minutes & no orders had been taken, nor was anyone apologizing for the delay of service. Tables were dirty, and the dining area looked like a mess. Will probably never be back. Sad too, because they do have good food. I just can’t stand the lack of customer service.

If I could give a zero I would! My first time here and I was looking forward to it! 1. There is no sign or direction of what to do when you walk in and no one says anything to help you so prepare to stand there and look stupid 2. The lady that took our order didn’t know much about what she was doing. 3. The avocado sprouted sandwich had 2 small pieces of brown avocado. 4. We didn’t get our drinks until after our food and we had to ask for it 5. They cook and the waitress was talking to each another about customer complaining about their food 6. ITSFILTHYINHERE!!! There was not one table clean NOTONE! I could understand if they were busy but there is only one other customer in here. 7. My food came out wrong and I ordered something else which she made me pay more for. 8. The toilet is broken Overall a horrible experience and we will not be back.

No wonder why nobody else was here. Dinner time and it took over 30 minutes to get our food. The girl acted like she was busy on her phone or something. Should’ve been busy cooking our food. When I came out was all nasty with no flavor. Save yourself the trouble and try somewhere else I don’t suggest the squeeze burger

Great food but as a Dutch/Indo guy and knowing Payter is a Dutch name, I was hoping for Sate. Maybe I can talk him into it some day

One star because I didn’t see an option for zero. Worst restaurant ever! When entering the restaurant there is no information about sitting down, getting your food and sit down, etc. Tried to ask several of the service people with no luck. Finally one person said to go to end of the counter and order. We want to the end of the counter and asked about ordering and were told to go to the other end of the counter. Finally the cook saw our problem and told one of the people to go to the register and take our order. After a 40 minute wait food arrived but was missing items. To get our drinks and silverware required four requests and then finally the missing items came but the rest of the food was cold. The high point of the meal was finding hair in the fruit before we tried to eat it. That’s the best I can say.

Walking in, I was really confused as to whether we got seated or if we had to seat ourselves. I was also confused in terms of ordering, since we sat right in front I didn’t know we had to go up and order. Luckily once the food was ordered, it wasn’t too long until we received it. I ordered a burger with avocado and the avocado pieces were a little too thick so they didn’t stay on my burger too long. However, the burger was still delicious and moist. The fries are life though. We ordered regular that came with the burgers and garlic fries. I thought it was weird that the garlic oil sauce was on the side, but it wasn’t a huge deal. It was still a great eat!

I’ve always had good food at Payters. The mozzarella cheese sticks are delicious, almost too delicious. I usually order off the kid’s menu and get the cheese quesadilla or the chicken tenders. Their french fries are to die for. If you come here, prepare to wait for a while for your food. The wait stinks but the food is amazing.

I love payters’ «Big P» when it’s made right. Regrettably more often than not it fails to meet expectations. I placed an order for pick up a week ago today, and was tempted to leave a very negative review in my frustration, but a business’ reputation is their livelihood so I didn’t want to write my review in anger. I placed the order for 2 big p’s with fries at 7:35pm, was told order would be ready in 20 minutes. Knowing they usually take a little longer than normal, I arrived at 8:05 figuring 10 extra minutes would be enough. There were two tables sat and two other people waiting for to go orders, hardly«slammed» by any means. I said hello to the cashier and let her know my name and order and she acknowledged me and asked to give her a minute. That’s okay. I noticed a to-go bag ready but wasn’t sure if it was mine or not. I watched her help the two other people who were in before I walked in with their to-go orders and finally about 15 minutes after walking in, and 45 minutes after placing my order was given my sandwiches in a lukewarm bag. Rushed home to eat as I was starving at this point and turned over the bag and began with a fry. Soggy. Next the sandwich. Same story. I’ll attach some pictures but the sandwich was definitely just thrown together without much effort and hardly toasted at all. I’m sure it didn’t help that my order was sitting an extra 20 minutes while the cashier(obviously flustered) tried to prioritize what people should be helped first. I took a second bite of my sandwich and decided it was not even worth eating in this sorry state. With a sigh I got up to turn the stove on and put a bit of oil in my skillet. If I wanted to cook my own dinner I would have gone to the store and made a hell of a better sandwich without having to deal with the inexperienced service and inexcusable wait times. After a few minutes in the pan and about an hour and a half after I placed my order. the sandwich and fries were greatly improved, and finally edible. Customers should never have to re-cook food they paid for. I don’t think I’ll be ordering take out again from Payters, at least if you receive this kind of service while dining in you can send your food back to the kitchen to be re-made, rather than having to do it yourself. 2 stars instead of the 1 they deserve from this experience cause I genuinely like the place but more often than not its a headache ordering from here.

Came in today for a burger and a shake. I went with the Bravo Avo Burger and the mint chocolate chip shake. We sat outside since it had cooled down, and it was nice with the xmas style lighting but maybe not bright enough for some. I was good with it tho. Now for the burger it was pretty good but it didn’t have mayo or any sauce to it so I had to ask for the thousand isle sauce to give it more flavor. The avocado had some browning which was a little off putting for me, but I know not all avocados come out perfect so I just scraped the few parts off. I did ask for no pickles and got pickles so I slid those off. The fries were actually a highlight for me, tasted pretty good and I liked the coating to them. Also the ranch was good so that’s always a plus. As for the shake it was awesome but it’s usually hard to mess those up. Overall it was a good experience but couldn’t rate more than a 3 as of now. I’ll be back for another burger or possibly breakfast.

Absolutely terrible. It looks so cute and promising from the outside, but as soon as you enter it goes downhill. There are two ways to enter so when another couple entered from the opposite door we weren’t sure who was in line first or where to even create a line. They make you pay first which is smart because if you hadn’t paid you would just walk out before waiting 45 minutes for a mediocre burger. The fries are the only saving quality. They really are yummy. And that is the one star. No apologies were given for the wait, there was some piece of rubber in my drink, the food besides the fries were no better than eating at a fast food joint, and the flush on the toilet was broken.(Sorry next person to use it!) avoid at all cost

This restaurant is so cute and in such a great location. We had drinks nearby and headed over for dinner. Turned off by the fact that you have to order your food at the counter. We left. It would be so much better if it was a full serve restaurant. Don’t know if they’re trying to save money by doing this, but I“m sure it’s counter productive. Went back again and had breakfast. It was okay, nothing special.
