Raley’s

So disappointed, they don’t accept bakery orders over the phone anymore. Who has time to go across town to order a cake? They’ve lost my business.

Being new to the area shopping at Raley’s is a new experience. Overall I like this store and I like the people that work here they are all friendly and courteous.
I do like the fact that they seem to have a very nice beer selection especially with the local craft beers.
I don’t really care for their meat department I think the looks of the meat on display is poor and the overall selection is low. Due to this I drive the extra three miles to go to Safeway to do most of my major shopping.
I do hop into this store to pick up an item or three when needed.

This Raley’s is clean and well stocked. The cashiers are always nice and professional and the baggers are polite and helpful. Their sales are fantastic and produce is fresh and the isles are well organized. They are located in a shopping center with other great stores as well.

Nice and clean place compared to other grocery stores. And great customer service! It’s more expensive then other places but there good service and clean store makes up for it!

People who work here are nice, most the time they help us out to the car. All their produce is super fresh & deli has awesome sandwiches.

Raley’s is a great store. The meat selection is great. I don’t know If many of you know, but they will season your meat for you. This is convenient especially for those days when you don’t have anything for dinner prepared. My family usually gets the Montréal Steak seasoning. It’s the BOMB-​DIGGITY! Raley’s also offers a great produce section with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from. Although Raley’s prices are not comparable to other grocery stores, they beat the competition with superior products and AWESOME customer service

I stopped by this Raley’s in Stockton and was surprised at the selection they had here. It was a combination of a specialty market and chain grocery store.
They carried items that you find at a Ralph’s and Whole Foods in Los Angeles. What I also liked was their selection of wine and natural sodas.
Being that this supermarket is in NoCal, you might find wines that you wouldn’t see at a major grocery chain store in Los Angeles. I recommend picking up a bottle of local Zinfandel from Lodi as they had a large selection.

I used to only shop here one in a great while due to the higher price tag (as in, I would really need something rightthisveryminute & simply couldn’t wait to go to Target, Smart & Final, or [insert name of more reasonably priced store here]). But its location is so convenient that I’ve been going here much more frequently. Using discounts & their Something Extra rewards system has actually proven to be fairly cost-​effective.
A big downside for me is the fact that there are generally solicitors and/​or homeless people at the entrances. I rarely carry cash on me & when I do, I don’t mind sparing a couple dollars. But when I don’t have any cash & have already stated that, I’m not sure why I get asked again on my way out (or why people act even more annoyed the second time around). I don’t mind being asked, but I do mind when people are pushy & rude.
I can’t review this store without mentioning Ron, who works in the deli & is always so upbeat & positive; he’s super friendly & will strike up a conversation with you (even if you’re only walking past), & even when he’s busy with another customer, will always acknowledge you. They need to promote him asap to customer relations manager because if all the employees were like him, they would see a huge increase in customers!

This is the closest Raley’s for me, and I like to come here when I want to shop for more fresh veggies and fruits. I had been on a macaron thing for a while and came here a lot to get Bob’s Red Mill almond meal/​flour. Love the bakery/​deli and the employees here are very friendly. Don’t forget to sign up for a Something Extra rewards card to get points for shopping!

Clean store, professional staff, bit pricy produce, but they almost always have great deals on store products.
What I really like about this store and Raley’s stores in general is their service counter: Press service counter button and someone magically appears immediately. Need stamps? Check. Need a money order? Check. Need a moneygram transfer? Check. Need lottery ticket results? Check. Need a manager? Check. Check. Check. They are fast, too!

Cleanest grocery u could Find in our area :) staff is always friendly and extremely helpful, selection is great and their deli cant be beat for last minute dinner stuff
Prices are a little higher but definitely worth it oh and they sometimes do the buy 1 get 1 sushi rolls too which is always good

Been to this location twice recently, once for Valentine’s Day and second time for a friend who was in the hospital. My review is going to be based on their floral department.
For Valentine’s Day, I came here to get something for my mom. The girl that helped me was very pleasant and thoughtful. She helped me pick out a beautiful bouquet that I was able to put together myself due to vases I have at home. Not only was she super helpful, she also saved me money!
The second time when I came, it was too early in the morning so the dept wasn’t open. A girl came over and helped me put an arrangement together for my friend. I really didn’t know what to get because it was for a male friend who was in the hospital for an injury. She didn’t work in the department so she didn’t really have a clue either. I ended up picking my own arrangement without her help but she wrapped it up beautifully.
Raley’s has always had great customer service and this location is the closest to my home. Will definitely be back for future events.

I went here over the weekend to pick up a few items for a last minute BBQ. I wanted to go to Podesto’s (
) but the family wanted to go to Raley’s instead. I have to admit, I came in a little pouty. ;)
We had reservations to eat out but at the last minute, my Dad wanted to stay home to BBQ which I much more preferred. Instead, he wanted to BBQ some T-​bone steaks but upon checking out the Raley’s inventory, we were disappointed that the precut options were thinly sliced. i know my Dad and he wouldn’t be happy with that.
I approached the deli counter and asked the butcher if they extra in the back to do a 2″ cut. He responds with a big smile…“Oh, for Papa?” I love it! Yup, for Papa! We did the rest of our shopping and returned 10 minutes later to 8 perfectly cut T-​bone steaks! Beautiful. My sister and I grabbed two thinly sliced one’s for us because it was the right portions and we were on our merry way.
In the end, I was pretty impressed with this joint and grateful we were able to get the meat we wanted for our Father’s Day celebration so last minute. While I’m still a fan of Podesto’s, I won’t pout the next time my family wants to do our shopping here.
Props to the guys in the back for making excellent cuts to our steaks!

Avoid this store if you can help it! Seems like every time I go in there they’re out of something I need and I’m talking basic stuff here. Last visit, out of whole chicken! Prior visit, out of french bread! Before that, no scallops, before that no dang Lay’s Light chips. What they do have is like a scavenger hunt. Want water? Check the three different lanes it’s placed in. Want soda? three more lanes! Crazy… also, if you go to the deli (where the food is good), plan on waiting at least 5 or 10 minutes to get one of two SLOW employees to wait on you. A person shouldn’t get upset each time they go grocery shopping. It should be enjoyable and Raley’s is the opposite. Now I go two or three miles further to S-​Mart or Safeway and totally worth the extra effort. IM DONE WITH RALEY’S!!!

As I see it this Raley’s is better than the bare dirt lot that was here before the store was built.
Seriously this corner at Don and Hammer was empty on both sides for decades! As long as I can remember as a kid there was stuff all up and down Hammer but randomly these two prime spots were sitting there untouched. Still today the section across the street is half a medical building and half strawberries.
Maybe Disneyland is gonna build them a Stockton theme park there someday.
Name it the All American Theme Park. (That is an inside Stockton joke)
Raley’s in general is convenient but like so many convenient things it seems overpriced to me. They do have great customer service and the store itself is clean and well stocked. If you get stuff on sale it isnt too bad but you really do need to watch how you buy when shopping here.
On the up side they have a bunch of really random and local stuff… when I was visiting Stockton last time I got some «lamb jerky treats» for my kitty cats… they LOVED them. I have never seen them anywhere but here.
Maybe my cats can shop here.

Two things:
Organized and clean.
Lots of highschoolers work here and this place is always empty.
Went here for taco sauce for the BF’s mom for taco night and I found it fasssst nd it was cheap. Oh and snickers for my Choco-​cravings.
–1 cause I had to wait in a longggg line for two items cause there was like 3 cashiers and they were packed.

3.5 stars mostly because of the extensive selection of organic and certified fruits and vegetables. Before Stockton Grocers even knew its customers cared about buying organic, I used to drive to the Raley’s in Lodi to get my weekly produce-​it was pretty much my only choice at the time. Now that we have Trader Joe’s, Podesto’s (a small selection of organic) Costco and even Winco, that is not a huge concern for me.
One other thing I like about the store is the extensive health food section, better than what you find in most stores dedicated to the sector.
Customer service, meh, I’ve experienced much better at Trader Joe’s in fact the last time I stopped at Raley’s, the clerk talked to a cute co-​worker while waiting on the customer before her, then her, then when it was my turn, he pretty much ignored me with the exception of some smart a_​_​-​ed comments that wreaked of sarcasm. Maybe that should be part of employee training, you know, the customer service thing?
Prices for the most part are considerably higher than your weekly grocer in town, this makes customer service even more key.
In today’s economy, customer service is gonna make or break your business store managers-​maybe a secret shopper is the answer to bolstering your employee’s attitudes? Just a thought!

Despite the ghettoness of Stockton, this grocery store isn’t so bad! I came here on a pit stop over the weekend to get some lemons. Unfortunately they didn’t have a good selection, only some little tiny ones instead of the larger kind, but at 4 for $ 1 I guess it was ok.
Also the clerks are very friendly and fetched our 20lb bag of ice for us. For the ghetto, it really wasn’t so bad!

BEST SERVICE ANYWHERE IN STOCKTON
I can’t stand fast food, so I end up cooking, ie, shopping every day. I’ve tried every food store in this area. Most are pretty good. This particular Raley’s is the best. Seafood is fresh and varied, (I don’t eat meat, but it looks carefully prepared), the bakery carries real ciabatta almost as good as mine, and the natural foods section even includes excercise dvds. I don’t have any problem with the produce. There are exotic ‘living’ greens and edible flowers, yes, but there is also an outstanding selection of lower-​rent stand-​bys like cilantro and turnips. Cleanest leeks in the Central Valley, too.
Best of all is the service. The checkers are helpful and friendly but not annoyingly so. The Courtesy Clerks do justice to their name. The butchers, produce people and florists all have a touching amount of professional ‘ego’ relating to their own departments. The chinese food is pretty ‘meh’, but they will step out from their own concession to help out in the service deli.
If you believe that meals are sacred, that food is meant to be chosen, prepared, and served with your own hands and shared with people in your pod, you can’t do any better than Hammer Lane Raley’s.
Also, courtesy clerk A_​_​_​_​was the only person to express sympathy to me after a violent death in my family. She will never know what that meant to me.
When Mary Chapin Carpenter wrote that «This I Believe» piece about what you can learn at the grocery store, she could have been talking about this Raley’s.
It’s a clean well-​lit place where at least one daily chore can be a pleasure.
