Richard Vanover, OD

I absolutely love going to Dr. Vanover to get my eyes checked. I’ve been going here for the past 5 years and would not dream of going anywhere else. He’s very thorough in his check ups and makes sure I know what he’s checking as he’s doing it. He doesn’t hesitate to give me trial samples to make sure that the contact lenses do work for me before I commit. In addition to addressing my concerns about my eyes, he’s super friendly and makes me feel very comfortable.
I’d definitely recommend Dr. Vanover to anyone looking for an optometrist. He’s superb!!!

Wow!!! I feel priviledged to write a review for Dr. Vanover. Me, my husband and our 3 children are all patients of Dr. Vanover. My husband and I have been following him since he had his practice on West Lane about 15 years ago. He is the best. He is funny and very personable. He is like Norm on Cheers but in a doctor way. He is always on the cutting edge of new-​cool eye technology. He has kept my eyes from going blind many of times and from getting worse/​blinder… heehee. I promise I take my contacts out as soon as I get home. No more sleeping in them. I don’t like the feeling of stabbing knives in my eyes anymore. Dr. V never rushes his appointments and treats each and everyone super special. My kids love going to see him for their annual eye visits because he is pure FUN!!! I can’t see ever going to another optometrist. I hope Dr. V lives a long time. :)
