This joint right here is definitely hood. It matches the surroundings and would look utterly stupid if they fixed this place up to make it look fresh and clean. When I pull up to this place I have the urge to play Boyz n the Hood by Eazy-E. People say they don’t come here because of the location, but in reality this place is pretty chill and nobody here bothers you. The times I’ve been here it’s been busy which would be around lunch time. The food is good. The food is greasy. The food is cheap.

If your in the area and need a quick cheap meal, then this is the spot. One thing for sure is that you can’t beat the prices with a stick! It’s decent, fast, and cheap. I think I paid five bucks for a steak sandwich and that’s dirt cheap. It tasted ok, but the price made it taste so much better. Fast food prices, if not cheaper and it taste slightly better than fast food chains.

3 ½ Stars This place reminds me a lot of the by-gone George’s Drive-In that was on California St across the street from St. Josephs. Good olé’ fashioned hamburgers, cheeseburgers, baconburgers, pastrami burgers… and they also list chicken dinners on the menu. Next time I will try their chicken. The deep fried mushrooms are ok. The crinkle cut french fries are a bit thinner than they served at Georges, but they are good! The prices are reasonable… maybe because they are in the ‘low-rent’ district? This would not be the place for a family outing but if you are in the area, it would be worth stopping by. Be advised that they close the indoor eating area at 3:30 p. m…so if you come after that you have to eat outside and brave the elements. What is up with that??? The building is shabby to say the least. No regards to maintenance or upkeep. Maybe some Windex and paint would help? It needs major TLC!

Two words: Fried Mushrooms. I would come here just for those, but the truth of it is everything here is great. Don’t let the appearance turn you away. A Super Cheesburger Basket w/fried mushrooms on the side is the perfect meal when you want a good ol’ greasy burger. The onioin rings are pretty darn good too. If your going around lunch time expect to be there a while, cuz this place gets busy. Once you know the menu calling ahead is higly recomended, but the wait is worth it anyway.

OMFG! This used to be the spot as a kid. greasy food, sno cones, fries. Ahh. Is it wrong that my childhood has so many food memories. It’s the ghetto, but if you’re eating here you probably don’t notice, you call those people cousins and mean it. hehe. much love, much love.

If you’ve ever been to Sno-White Burger on 2040 E Mariposa Rd in South Stockton then you are probably A) Lost B) From around here C) Scared. In anycase, this review’s a tribute to my old hood. In the mid-90’s there was no Mickey D’s or any fast food joints within 5 miles of here so my brothers and I would go to Sno-White for our junk food fix and fast forward 20 years later, nothing’s changed. Not because they wanted it to be authentic, its just that they just didn’t remodel the place, its pretty run down. Lets start w/the menu: Everything pretty much goes in the fryer. I know, its cliché to say«the food is greasy» because its a burger joint, but let me just say that I disagree because everything here is EXTREMELYGREASY. It seems the owners decided that the menu should consist of everything you can eat at the county fair. Nevermind that this place is run by mostly southeast asian folks, its good old american dining.
There’s Burger Baskets, fried everything(onions rings, zuchinni, mushrooms), chili, chili-burgers, chili-dogs, corndogs, hotdogs, polish dogs, burritos, fish-n-chips and a shrimp basket(of course). They’ve even had a pastrami burger before carl’s jr. had a pastrami burger! And of course you can pile on bacon and cheese on any of the above. I recommend the cheeseburger basket(with fries) and a side of the mushrooms with ranch dressing. The burger patty’s oil will drench the shredded lettuce and tomato immediately so don’t fight it or do that thing where u flip lift the patty and scrunch your nose, just open your mouth, alrite?. Enjoy that. The fries are the crinkled kind, crunchy and soft inside. The fried mushrooms are quite a deal, $ 1.96 for 10 – 12 pieces, they are deep fried in a crunchy batter and are perfect with the side of ranch. Unless you have the metabolism of a teenager, this isn’t a meal I’d personally indulge in too much, but hey… every once in a while you gotta knock yourself out. Don’t get your meal to go, sit down, enjoy the view. The pan handlers are mostly harmless… that is if you give them some change. I love my town.
