The Circus Room

I’m pretty sure the name is the establishment now, because this place is all class. They even got beer on tap now! When it was the clown house all they had were bottles of beer. Now with taps the beer comes in mugs that you can drink out of. Also, there are heads of dead animals on the walls, so you feel like you are in a Reno lounge/​bar. The bar is much gooder then it use to be. It’s THE ESTABLISHMENT, so don’t go breaking the rules!!!

When the owner passed the Circus Room ceased to exist. It is gone, forever. It is now the Establishment. What a pity!

I used to go here about 28 or so yrs ago. It was a great neighborhood bar. Sure would like to find an old friend from there, Gary Armstrong

I really like to day drink here.
When I’m visiting family in North Stockton and I have some hours to kill and a craving for a few spirits I usually end up here for a little while. The atmosphere is just shady enough to make me feel like I’m Billy Bad Ass, but the bar keep is really sweet and she serves up some mean whiskey drinks. The crowd is always white haired or bald motor cycle jacket wearing, tattoo bearing, sailor cursing gentlemen. I can listen to their stories all day.. . They are CASH ONLY though and the ATM inside has a pretty 4 $ charge.

Ok so we walk in and grab a drink and the bartender never even came back to ask us if we needed or wanted anything else ! Not a mix race crowd not very welcoming to brown skin folks. Not coming back and would not recommend to my friends of any race. People smoking inside hell I forgot I was in California for a while.

I love this place. I always have great service from the bartenders, the regulars are friendly and chatty and its easy for me to run the table in a game of 8 ball. I love that they have an internet jukebox and no one freaks out when I play Pantera. Great place to kick back with some drinks, good company and good times.

hey the drinks are not cheap… not exspensive … but I can bumb a cigarette… a few old drunks… guys that wanta talk… hit this place every couple weeks…

The Circus Room blows some major serious ass.
First of all, the place looks so run down. When I went in there, it just looked… I don’t know… scary. I was with friends, so it’s totally fine. I didn’t care. We were all hanging out.
But then the asshole bartender was telling me my ID was fake. «Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know that you were part machine!» says I. «What do you mean?» he asks. «You have no right to judge what is fake or not. Either run it through your machine, serve me, or let me know.» So he checks it in his machine. Who knew, but it was real! Ass.
THEN! He decided to not serve my friend’s boyfriend, because he said he was drunk. When we said, «Dude, he’s only had two beers tonight. He always looks drunk. It’s called depression.» he informs my friend «Listen here little lady, but I’ve been bartending for longer than you’ve been alive, and I know drunk. The sheriff comes around here all the time, and I’m not serving this kid and gonna get in trouble. I don’t care what you say, he’s drunk!» Stupid ass. So we finished our drinks (which, were overpriced and were not mixed AT ALL. I asked him to mix it and he looked at me as if I asked him to take a bath) and then we left.
SUCKS!

Ahhhh, yes, the Circus Room. If you are ever in a need for anonymous unwinding… The Circus Room is your best bet. This place is for those who don’t want to know anyone in the room. You could drink yourself into a frenzy and still not be interested in knowing your bar stool neighbor.
They pour a mean drink. So bring your razor because you will leave with some whiskers.
