Great restaurant food was good the help was friendly. The next morning we had nice conversation with a bartender very friendly.

food is ok… prices are higher then the food is worth. Unfortunately when someone stays at a hotel the choices to eat out are limited and in this area that’s the only restaurant available.

compliments to the staff! the context. 1 hr lunch break for a conference in the hotel that had ~ 300 people in attendance… made reservation during morning break. @ 11:30, during lunch adjournment, the tables for reservations were clearly marked… staff was hustling, orders taken swiftly, water poured and refreshed, even as they were swamped w/hundreds of people… the restaurant couldn’t handle all the attendees & in retrospect the agency hosting the conference should have made other arrangements. but the staff at this little bistro were troopers… the food was adequate, the staff exemplary

One star is generous. Do not select this place if you think you are going to get a grab to eat before an event at the Stockton Arena. The one star is for the location as it is literally right across the street and walking distance to the arena entrance. I had no idea that the restaurant was inside the hotel and after navigating through the hotel lobby you see a bunch of tables and chairs in a very open area. There is no official signage that I could spot but there was no other visible eating establishment. Having a reservation did us no good as once being seated at a table, we waited for over 20 minutes and still could not get any server to even provide us menus. The atmosphere was more like a campus cafeteria which I was not expecting at all. The line of people to get seated was about 75 people deep and you could tell that it was complete mayhem amongst the server team. This upsides to this location(on any other non-event day) is that it has great lighting and is handicapped accessible.

I visit Stockton at least 4 times a year and always stay at the University Waterfront Hotel. Lucky for me the Delta Bistro is located inside the hotel. The service is awesome and the food is great. I have never been disappointed with what I have ordered. If you are ever in Stockton check out the Delta Bistro!

Arriving at our reservation time, we entered an empty restaurant. We chose this for the proximity to the arena. We were told to seat ourselves and waited ten minutes for anyone to acknowledge our table. Our waitress did not know if they carried dark beer or what the soup of the day was. Yes, we had ask her to answer our questions. We were minus one cocktail for almost twenty minutes when the supervisor responded to our request. Thirty minutes later the salads arrived, three minutes later the entrees. My husband’s unfinished salad was quickly removed without asking if he was finished. Needless to say the short ribs(which were long slices of pot roast in institutional gravy) were now cold. Four minutes later dessert arrived. Now the molten lava cake was stone cold. Never have I had such horrible food and egregious service. I honestly thought Allen Funt from Candid Camera or Ashton Kutcher from Punked had to be right around the corner. This was our second and final visit.

I had breakfast, lunch and dinner there yesterday. The food was decent. Breakfast and lunch were reasonably priced and were a good meal. I would totally recommend staying in for both meals. However, the menu is a bit limited. Dinner was my least favorite meal there. I think that it was a good meal but very overpriced. With the same amount of money you can go to a restaurant and get something better for less money. Please don’t get me wrong the food is great, just not worth the money. The bar was empty and quite, which is what I liked after a long day. With a very friendly staff the vibe is mellow. I enjoyed it very much, particularly the outside seating area. Just a very relaxing experience.

Went into bistro looking for Dinner and a couple drinks My date and I. waiters were everywhere doing who knows what but none, no one nodda attended to us. No hello how’s your day, no can I get you something to drink, are you hungry. Not even a that’s a beautiful lady you got there, cause my date was HOT. So about 20 minutes later a guy that looks like a janitor pushing a wooden something spoke and ask if we needed anything but by this time we were ready to go. Horrible service might I add, wait maybe not horrible cause there was none offered. What was that all about??? Even the bar tenders looked over at us, turned away and said nothing. Maybe it was my ugly face. Naaah, I don’t think so, cause like my date, I was pretty damn HOT too. SMDH

Went here for lunch for the first time after working right next door for 3 years. I’ve been to their holiday brunch buffets and have been very satisfied, so I was looking forward to hanging out with the hubby and grabbin a sandwich. place was pretty empty right at noon so I figured we’d get extra attention, meh. not really, service was okay I guess, sandwich was alright(got the chicken avocado) had to track down the waitress to come get our check after a significant wait. overall, not a bad experience and if you happen to be staying in the area, you’ll do okay here, place was very clean, service was friendly, if a little slow, price was as expected;)

I read all about the Pomegranate lemon drop but they were all out Stephanie the expert bartender whipped up an amazing version of a Pomartini! Delicious with sugar on the rim! Loved the cheese curds: actually cheese sticks created with pretzel bits for the breading! Soooooo good! Perfectly prepared and served with fresh marinara. Great view, great service and ambiance. You don’t feel like your in Stockton!

My Birthday dinner with a friend of mine… who knew this hidden gem was here in Stockton. Off the Waterfront… no doubt. The ambiance is perfect for a get together… Happy Hour… or even enjoy a NFL, NBA game or two! If you’re rolling solo… you’re certain to find good company at the bar. What’s on the menu? I decided to go light and order an appetizer and a drink. I was very happy with both selections. A Pomegranate Lemon Drop to keep my esophagus wet and Calamari. I am a Calamari tasting expert and I was over satisfied with the light breading to the cocktail sauce. When in Stockton., stop by The Delta Bistro and Lounge.

The food is okay. There really was nothing special to it. But the atmosphere was nice. The service was very friendly. The place seems to be very well maintained. The only thing is was that it was not my price range considering the basic items on the menu. But I do know if your really into your protein, they have grass feed beef there;)

I end up spending a lot of time here since the Delta Bistro hosts all of the Stockton Thunder watch parties. I’ve had a chance to try a few things on the menu and I’ve been happy with everything I’ve ordered. My absolute favorite is the Buffalo Chicken Salad, really tasty and filling. The Monster burger is also great and easily two meals. They also have pizza specials during all the Thunder watch parties(and probably on other days) $ 10 for a two topping pizza that will feed 2 – 4 people depending on how hungry you are. I’ve also been here for the Sunday brunch that is really good and totally worth the price– endless mimosas(need I say more). If you’re after a delicious alcoholic beverage ask for the Skywalker it is amazing!!! Also, keep an eye out for the drink specials they are always coming up with new and inventive drinks. Enjoy!

Food — Great Brunch variety. I saw the normal items as well as prime rib, fried chicken, salmon. I had potatoes and eggs, sausage, bacon and prime rib. Every thing was cooked perfectly, nothing over or under done. Only thing missing for me was an omelet option or waffles. The bottomless mimosas made up for it pretty quick though. Service — accommodating and attentive. Atmosphere — Brunch runs from 10 am to 2 pm. My wife and I were there at 11. I expected more people but there were only about 5 or 6 others. Upscale feel without being uppity. You have a couple of seating options including leather chairs. They sit a bit lower than a normal dining room chair but we chose them anyway. After a couple of trips through the buffet, the chairs were a little hard to get out of. If only they reclined. Nice big windows that look out to the pool area and let in plenty of natural light. There’s also a TV or two in case you want to catch a sporting event. Price — I’ve not been to Sunday brunch anywhere else in Stockton but for me, $ 20pp is a fair price to pay for the experience that my wife and I had. I would visit again.

Loath. The above means reluctant, unwilling… That is my attitude as I write this review. I don’t want too many people to find out about this hidden gem in Stockton, but the cat is out of the bag. THETHING I LOVEABOUTTHISPLACEISALLOWSMETOFORGOTTHAT I LIVEINSTOCKTON! Happy hour from 4:30 to 7 M-F. Yummy appetizers like calamari and bruschetta dominate the menu. Some of the aforementioned appetizers are 50% off. The prices are a bit steep, but I consider that a good thing because it keeps the riff raff away. :) The place is so clean… so clean. The bartenders are attentive and the food is good. I also like to visit during Sunday brunch. From 10 to 2, the boys from the University Plaza Hotel go all out and serve prime rib, steamed veggies, a fish entrée(salmon this past Sunday), and pasta. There are also eggs and bacon and other customary breakfast items for those who think that eating prime rib at 10 is beneath them. :) Quick tip: I didn’t mention the courtyard. Relaxing there after a nice meal is a must. Plenty of comfortable seating. Free WiFi.

Short update… Again, yummy prime rib tonight. Now they provide live music for the buffets… Thurs evenings and Sundays! Nice touch. Also, they added a homemade bread to the choices. I think they said it was some kind of rosemary bread? I could be wrong… but it was tasty. Tonight they had scalloped potatoes in a creamy sauce instead of the mashed potatoes and gravy. I am not a fan of scalloped potatoes… but I loved the mashed potatoes they had last time. I could almost make a meal of that! Surprise of the night… they had homemade ice cream. It was an extra add-on to the buffet. It will not be a regular buffet item. But you really never know what surprises the Executive Chef Jeff might add from time to time. Assuring the smooth running of the buffet line was Assistant Chef Efrain. I had the same awesome server as last time… Charles! Thanks, Charles.
