Tommy’s Cafe

Looked for a good breakfast place in Stockton and found Tommy’s. Had the Popeye omelette with biscuits and gravy. Excellent food and service.

First time here I’m ordering the Biscuit Debris
Wifey ordered an omelette with like a lot of fixings portions were huge my wife loved her omelette my biscuits and gravy was good I will definitely be back Service was great not too long the wait for Saturday morning

I wanted to give it a better rating and just couldn’t justify it. Parking was easy and good, service was good but a little rehearsed and canned. I received no less than 3 «have a good day» by the same person within my 30 min stay.
There is a fine line between helpful and, too bothersome to really enjoy the meal. I received the later. I ordered an omelet which came very quickly, but like another Unilocaler mentioned, the quality of the products used isn’t of a great quality and it effects the meal. My bacon was way too salty, the jack cheese on top just clumped didn’t melt properly, and the dish just too greasy on the bottom and inside.
The restaurant on the inside is very clean and service fast. I may try it again in maybe 6 months. ((I like to support small business)) But if things haven’t improved by then, I won’t be returning. Note to Service staff: being helpful and courteous is good but let people enjoy their meal please.

We went to Tommy’s because our other favorite restaurant Chuck’s was closed. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. The place was fairly crowded but we sat ourselves down immediately. The Waiter took our order quickly and our food came out 10 minutes later. My wife and I both ordered omelets, She got the Meat lovers and I got the Denver with avocado, both tasted great. They even passed my breakfast test, they serve hashbrowns that don’t suck, The staff was attentive and friendly. We were out of there in about 40 minutes and didn’t waste half our saturday. We plan on going back next weekend.

Rating is more a 3.5 but overall it’s a good breakfast spot. I had the chicken fried steak breakfast which was pretty tasty and a decent portion. I really liked the cook on the hashbrowns, they had a nice crisp without having too much crunch like at some places. The pancake could be better but it’s not bad. Thuy was our server and she was great! I’ll be back for breakfast again.

We tried this place for yet another rare breakfast meal (for me). The place is small and the tables are packed in there. But the place was full and a short line began to form just after we sat down. Servers were very busying trying to attend to tables. I had the pancake combo. Food was pretty average by my standards, but definitely worth the price. We use a small table for 2, which was just barely large enough for a comfortable meal experience. If the owner could find a larger building and spread things out a bit more, I think they’d find their customers love the change.

The place has so much potential! Ugly on the outside, nice on the inside. Service is top notch. But they use such cheap ingredients. Had an omelette. The swiss cheese was processed. Ruins an omelette! iI asked for extra swiss and didn’t get it and I was glad about that, The english muffin tasted old. If they would invest a bit more in their ingredients, this place would be amazing. Don’t skimp on ingredients!

my co-​worker told me about this place a while back so i decided to take my friends there to try it and we loved it! best in town i would say! the hash browns with cheese and onions are to die for… pretty big servings for the price you pay too… great service, i can’t wait to go back!

The service is excellent but the food is not very good. Eggs were a cooked to order but the home fries were deep fried or something, the sausage was flavorless.

Flavorless food, had the Bay omelet without bacon. Very little avocado with brown spots. Whatever they use on their cheap dry toast is NOT butter, more like a flavorless grease. I don’t like posting negative reviews but this place was very disappointing! They need to at least add spices to the food.

Tommy’s was busy this morning, but unlike Chuck’s Hamburgers they greeted me the second I walked through the door. I decided to have a hamburger instead of breakfast. The burger was cooked just right.

Service was prompt, host were very sweet, and customer service was superb. Came in for lunch and ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich comes with a side of curly fries. Serving size was good, and curly fries were perfectly cooked, crisp and not drenched in oil. I’ve had better Philly cheesesteak sandwiches to be honest, it was average to say the least. I wouldn’t order it again, but their menu had plenty of options. Next time I’ll come in for breakfast.

First time here. The service was really good. The veggie omelet was so heavenly! The eggs were so silky soft and stuffed full of veggies. My husband got a bacon, cheese omelet and he loved the bacon. Prices were really good as well. Just a word of advise, If you serve eggs you must have house made salsa.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Tommy’s is still open. We stopped by for lunch recently. It’s a very clean little restaurant and service is good.
I had a delicious turkey and avocado and bacon sandwich on Ciabatta bread which came with fresh fruit. It was a grilled sandwich. excellent! My husband had breakfast. eggs, bacon, pancake, toast, hash browns. all done to a turn but too much food!
The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is very good. Give this place a try… there’s something on the menu for everyone.

I actually liked this place. Small little diner place. Food is awesome. Loved their fluffy pancakes! Well worth my family and I walking there. The service was fast and good. Probably not a great place for large groups.

Place is fabulous. Food was great and as Lele. M says it would not be great for large groups as the venue is small. But service is great and food is great. Win win.

Ive given this place three tries as I just moved into stockton from the country and have had a hard time finding breakfast. The first time I was here it literally took over 10 minutes for me and my room mate to be acknowledged which was very frustrating since we were sitting out the counter… right in front of them. The greetings are something they need to work on.
That being said I havnt disliked anything I have had there and they have a pretty big selection at a decent price… some of the best I have seen around the area so far. It is also very clean and the staff is polite once they actually acknowledge you and get the ball rolling!
Moral of the story: I will continue to go back since the food is good and its close to my home. I would recommend it to people, but tell them to be prepared to wait a little bit.

On the outside, this place looked kind of shabby and empty but we walked in to a pleasant surprise. The interior was clean and was half full on a Saturday morning at 8AM. We chose a booth and sat ourselves and the waitress quickly came over to take our drink orders.
*Bay Omelette (#11): Bacon, avocado, tomatoes with a side of their fries (served with bell peppers and onions) and one pancake. Omelette was perfect, the amount of bacon was more than I expected, potatoes were perfect, pancake was also delicious.
*Paradise Omelette (#12): Bacon, ham, tomatos, with a side of fries and a pancake.
My favorite part was their home fries, it was soooo good. I was expecting some steak cut fries but am very happy they were not.
Both dishes were perfect, restaurant was clean, service was quick and friendly, we will definitely be coming back regularly.

Service was great and the place was clean. Food was quick and the pancakes the best tasting I’ve had in years. Reasonable price, and waitress was real nice. Only negative is the parking was hard to find… would come back again.

Ordered a club sandwich on white and large bowl of homemade
clam chowder.
Sandwich was quite large, stuffed with turkey, ham, bacon, tomatoes,
lettuce and cheese on toasted white bread. Came with your choice of
sides…I had the fries. Both sandwich and fries were good. Fries were
golden brown, hot and fresh.
The large bowl of clam chowder was thick, rich and creamy. Could have
almost eaten it with a fork! Had a buttery clam flavor.
A good friend comes here frequently for breakfast. Says its good.
I will return to try other items soon.
