Toys R Us

Decent selection of Toys, we used to frequent this place a lot when my son was REALLY into Thomas the Train. My favorite part of Toys R Us is having the credit card which gives me 10% off extra on Thursdays in store as well as extra points shopping there as well as other places like the grocery, gas station etc. I’ll definitely come back, mostly because it’s the closest.

I came to TRU over the Christmas holidays for some presents, I walked in and it was a madhouse. I had my list and I was checking it twice. Two of my three kids are getting presents here and I knew it was gonna be easy, so I thought.
I’ll say this first, I was glad all hands were on deck here for the Christmas season. I got the help that I needed on that day. Mad props to the staff, I know it’s tough but you all did a super job
The only negative was! it’s not Toys R Us fault, it’s the fault of all those parents who let their kids run wild in places like this. I’m trying to walk down an aisle and got kids running a muck. Hey I got kids myself, but I don’t allow them to run wild in a department store. Knocking shit over, bumping into people and throwing stuff in the air. Have some freaking CLASS.
Okay back to the Bizz, I got my youngest daughter some Monster High dolls. They had some sales going on. My Son was very easy, he wanted the new Halo Master Chief game for the Xbox One. I also picked up Call of Duty Ghost for a killer deal $ 9.99.
I don’t really come to this store that much anymore my eldest two grew up on me too damn fast. But hey if they got some deals on the goods, hell yeah I’ll be back.

awesome customer service

My kids are older so I have not shopped Toys R Us in a few years but I remember that it was mostly a good experience. My Toys R Us job helped put me through college so I try to patronize when I can. My recent experience however, has made me change my mind.
I was looking for a «Spidey Spud» as a gift for my great-​nephew for Christmas. I noticed that if I ordered online I could pick it up at the local TRU store. I received an email confirming my purchase and that it was ready for pick up at the store. I thought I could go on my lunch hour and be done with my shopping — wow than the adventure began:.
1. I pull up and park and see the «Customer Merchandise Pick Up door is permanently shut
2. Ok, so I enter the front doors and see a map directing me to «look here» if you are picking up pre-​ordered merchandise, however, the map was not clear so I asked the person at the customer service desk where to go — she said «Oh, that thing is broken again, just stand in that line.»
3. The signs for the lines are not well marked and just where is the line for the customer service desk as others are just walking up to the counter and getting help. I stood in the line for the registers was called by a cashier — who was not able to help me but took me to the customer service desk to get someone to help me.
4. A gentleman took my slip and then proceeded to chat about personal things with a woman behind the counter, he finally entered called someone to bring up my order and then told me to stand at the table near the exit and wait.
5. I waited, waited and waited until my item was brought to me. The pickup worker was busy chatting with another worker while he handed me my item. I said thank you, walked away (while he is still talking to another employee). As I am walking out the door he calls after me «oh, Merry Christmas»
This entire ordeal took 45 minutes, mind you I had all of the correct paperwork — I will never go back to this store, It was a disorderly mess and while I realize we all talk about personal issues at work perhaps it is not appropriate behind the customer service desk when customers are waiting!

Well, it’s the biggest toy store in Stockton. Sometimes they have things in stock. And if they do, the boxes look opened up, damaged, or returned.
I’m only in here if it’s the holidays or if someone’s kid is having a birthday. Overall, it’s not the cleanest or the greatest, but hey, at least Stockton has a Toys R Us?

Overall good toy store. Clean and usually has items in stock. Sometimes clearance sales are good. Clerks are nice but not very experienced. Some appear to be college students and very young. Majority of youth today lacks good customer service skills but the ones I encountered were polite. I would have given 5 stars. I did see a bum wander into the store and try to set fire to the posters on my last visit. He was escorted out of the store by management. I would not advise visiting the store after sundown. Actually I dont advise anybody to wander around stockton after dark.

Its very unfortunate that this is the ONLY major toy store here in Stockton. The customer service absoutelt sucks. Unless you know somebody who works there you cant find any help or anyone to offer help. I dont know if they were understaffed but I called to check on a video game and nobody would pick up the phone. When I finally got through I was on hold for a minimum of 15 minutes without a response on the video game. So I find the time to go to the store and look for the game I was inquiring about. Once I find it there is nobody in the department to opent he case for me. I dont know whats going on over there but they need to get t together.

Myself: Hi, do you guys price match?
HER: Umm… I don’t think we do. Yeah I don’t think so unless you bring like a current ad.
Myself: Oh okay that’s fine, but is this for sure? (I asked this because she said «I don’t think»)
HER: Yes.
OKAY. What went up yours? I don’t mind that certain stores do not price match, that’s perfectly fine. The point is that the employee did not know how to clearly give me a clearcut answer. If you don’t know, go find out and let me know.

The store is clean. The service is terrible! Why are you advertising something in your flyer, on your website, on the shelf in the store and then refusing to honor the price at the register? Why are you selling a children’s Crayola art easel and not selling the replacement paper? (Not out of stock, according to the associate, they don’t carry it.) why is your super holiday weekend sale price $ 20. more then other stores everyday prices? Will not be back.

The place is like a second home to my boyfriend and the kids. Toys R Us has all the toys you could possibly think of and MORE. Anyhow, this is the store of choice when we are buying gifts for the children because they have something for everyone. They even have clothes for kids. Yay! It’s not too busy throughout the year but enough to keep the business going BUT during Christmas is pretty crazy. They have long lines and angry customers and not much toys to choose from because they’re all gone. But that’s our fault for doing last minute shopping. I definitely recommend this store if you’re looking to find a «toy» for someone =)

This place was packed last night and the shelves were getting empty while the lines were getting long. So how about some workers going through the story and restocking, but not being in the way like it is walmart. Awesome. For as long as the line was it moved fast constantly. There was a good amount of checkstands open and all of them moved pretty fast, even though you could tell they all had had a long day. With all the craziness they did have multiple packages with stolen items, so maybe a bit more security around this time of year would be nice. But overall that really didn’t effect my trip here.
