Yum Mi

Love their customer service! Kevin, the owner, always treats his customers right by offering free drinks or appetizers on the house if you’re lucky. The food their is made completely fresh and steaming hot once you get it. Everything is very tasty, you’d want to come back for more! They’re usually parked out in front of Cash & Carry and Chuck E Cheese on Pacific Ave. Go give their food a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Yum Mi food truck is a really good truck. I’ve gave them a chance at the monthly Food Truck Frenzy’s in front of Hobby Lobby. I’ve ordered the Garlic Thai Chicken dish along with Potstickers and Eggrolls. They chicken was delicious, it has many flavors to it with a hint of something hot. The owner is very nice, they sometimes give out free stuff just because they’re that nice; such as a free coffee or some appetizers on the house! Nothing can get better than free food. Their food doesn’t take too long to come out but when it does, they get you waiting with something to snack on. Their potstickers were very crunchy on the outside and really juicy in the inside, there’s really no need for the sauce unless you want more flavor. Eggrolls were fine, it goes very well with the sauce they give you. Only thing I would suggest is add a few more main dishes and this truck has got something good going! Expect nice & friendly service from these guys.

I ordered the chow fun and eggrolls. If you look on the menu, the chow fun and curry noodles looks exactly the same thing. Should have been a sign for me to go somewhere else but I wanted to try it atleast. I got a large portion of the chow fun. The noodles were plain and long. I didnt like it at all. Had a few bite and couldn’t manage to eat more. Went out for something else to eat. The eggrolls on the other hand was delicious. Tasted really good without the need of the sweet and sour sauce. Would come back for the eggrolls but prob not for the other items on the menu.

While I was at the first annual Ducky Derby today I had to check out the food trucks. We stopped at a few different trucks and I was craving some potstickers so I had to stop at Yum Mi.
The name is cute and the staff was really friendly. I ended up getting 4 potstickers, the chow fun and a smoothie. I’d say everything was about a 3.5– good but didn’t blow my mind. The staff was really nice and approachable though so extra points!
The dumplings were good and had a nice crunch to the outside with a moist and tasty filling. The chow fun was just ok, it was good and had a good flavor, but like I said before didn’t blow my mind. Maybe I just like the fat rice noodles with chow fun better. The smoothie was just what I needed, cold and refreshing on this nice hot, sunny day.
I would definitely try this truck out again, but I’ll probably order some different items from the menu next time. If they get a little more creative with their dishes they could definitely stand out and be a 4 or 5. Give them a try and see for yourself!
