I love this place and I have been coming here with my family for close to 20 years. Tonight however was the last time I will be patronizing my beloved ice cream store. I sent my kids in for the traditional single dip of ice cream. I was late to the store and went in solo. I had a Make America Great Hat on and was sent to a server. She looked at me and asked if I was for Trump. I said of course and ordered a single dip of chocolate. What I received when I compared to my kids was a mini dip. I guess they don like Trump supporters. When I don care who they support but the fact they would care who I do is a bit upsetting. Like I said, great ice cream but I will never be back. Ever.

What a wonderful Jersey Shore«family must do!» Located in a former bungalow style home in the heart of the«Stone Harbor town center,» it is a «summer hot spot.» The line is usually out the door and down the block. Luckily these ice cream experts are pretty quick scoopers! Lots of choices and very generous portions make this a delicious delight on a warm summer night. Make sure you take the family at least once(hopefully 2 or 3 times!) when you are«down the shore!!!»

After waiting in line for the better part of an hour with my grandkids, they told us they would no longer keep a scooper aside for people with nut allergies. Geeze, they could had a sign up to save us an hour. Seriously, how hard would it be to keep one scooper aside to allow everyone to enjoy their product and keep people safe? I’ve been a customer of their overpriced ice cream for thirty years. Where’s the love for their customers?

Visited this week, «off season», no lines. Yes, I too heard them not giving a darn about a little girls allergies. Come on, at least train your staff to be kind. A woman waited on us who also wasn’t very patient. It’s our 1st time and there’s no line, just give me a sec to see the menu. I ordered my daughter a «kiddie come» which the woman says she didn’t hear and charged us $ 4.50 for a small instead(one scoop). Not impressed. We have lots of home Made ice cream where we live that actually have nice staff too.

Typically I would give Springer’s 5 stars but sadly I had a subpar experience there today. The guy who«helped» us looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there and appeared to not be fully«with it.» We ordered 2 scoops and I had 2 flavors, one of which he got completely wrong. He had a very difficult time giving change and made our experience at one of my favorite places awful. I would never go there with this guy serving again.

Don’t let the lines discourage you, they move really fast! This is the best place to get ice cream on the entire Jersey shore, thus why there are long lines every night! I have been going there for nearly 50 years and while vacationing, I visit Springers at LEAST3 times a week. Peanut butter cup, teaberry, mint chip, fresh peach… all fabulous!

This is the place to go! Gets extremely crowded during the summer months. While the line can typically wrap around the block at night, the line always moves quickly. There is seating inside of you prefer. There are so many flavors. They have something for everyone in your group. Staff is friendly and fast. It is cash only! Their peanut butter brownie is awesome!

The owner is a nasty piece of work. Closed the shop early with no notice. Just locked the door on a line of people. When asked where I should take my kid who I promised ice cream he said«not my problem» I guess he figures he’s made enough money. Please retire you nasty old curmudgeon.

Springers has been a tradition in my family since before my birth! Being that it’s so close to our house and we are locals, Springers has been our go-to for ice cream since the 80s. No other ice creams places in Avalon, Sea Isle or Ocean City can beat it! All ice cream is homemade hand spun and you can immediately taste the difference(many of my friends who I have introduced it too are amazed and say how thick and creamy it is). Tip for customers: after 7pm in the summer(no matter what night of the week), it gets extremely crowded. On Saturdays and Sunday’s the line does wrap around the block, which if you don’t mind waiting — great BUT(it is worth the wait!) your best bet is to come prior to 7pm. What’s even better is springers offers gallons to go(which my family has done forever when we’ve had birthdays etc), however the only down side to this is that flavors can vary based on what is sold throughout the day. Lines move quickly, and all staff is very friendly.

My first stop during my summer visit to Cape May was to Springer’s. It’s perhaps the largest and most popular ice cream shop in the area, and the wide variety of homemade ice creams is what makes it such a popular spot. The line may look long but it moves quickly since they have about ten high school students manning the counters. I got a simple cookie dough myself. The ice cream is not too sweet and very creamy, it almost had a semi-melted, liquidy texture to it. The cookie dough isn’t my favorite, it’s not as gritty as I’d like, but it worked.

We took the time to going to town early this afternoon basically so we can actually try this ice cream place that every night has a line down the block. We had to see what all the hype is all about. I really did enjoy my coconut ice cream and milk and cookies ice cream cone. Honestly I loved it but I also love the other ice cream I’ve had on vacation and would never wait the amount of time that people go to get this ice cream every night. It is homemade and fresh and yes I can say again it is delicious but not worth an hour wait! It is hard to believe that so many people will wait in such a long line for an ice cream cone!

I have celiac, and cannot have gluten. I SOAPPRECIATE Springer’s for their straightforward and honest, clearly posted sign that they could not accommodate me. iI would rather be told directly and NOT get sick than be told that they they could, and become ill, like so many other places. Thank you Springers, for putting my safety above your bottom line.

Incredible ice cream at a very good price. They only accept cash though so keep that in mind. I cannot recommend any specific flavors but what I can do is recommend them all. Depending on what you are in the mood for they have it and i promise it wil be an incredible tasty experience. It tastes like homemade ice cream and you can tell the difference. They also have like 5 different kinds of cones including pretzel cones. like WHAT??? PRETZELCONES yeah that’s what I said. The staff is friendly and quick and honestly with some of the attitudes of the people that go in there they should be commended for being able to stay that way all day.

This place is a disgrace. With no one else in line, they REFUSED to rinse an ice cream scooper for my 5 year old with food allergies. Manager said«we don’t accommodate for food allergies»(see the sign). We simply asked to rinse the scooper. The teenage worker sarcastically said«call your lawyer». Please support my 5 year old and those with food allergies and take your business elsewhere. Ice cream may be good, but the establishment has no concern for those with special needs.(My 5 year old daughter left saying she wished she was normal.). Thanks, Springers, for showing NOREGARD for those with needs — especially children.

I tried two scoops of the blue one”(vanilla base with cookie dough and oreos) on a sugar cone. The ice cream was out of this world, and my portions were very generous. Although the price was well over $ 5, I felt that I got my money’s worth. I sat in the parlor the next night and ordered the exact same ice cream cone. However, the ice cream was served in a cup with the cone on top, and when I scooped the ice cream into the cone, it just equaled one scoop instead of the promised two. That was disappointing, considering the amount of money I spent. From now on, I will definitely wait in the long line instead of sitting in the parlor. Quite honestly, the line moves VERY quickly, and I love seeing what flavors the served customers ordered, anyways :)

Stopped by here the other weekend after wanting to try it for awhile. Wow, this is possibly the best ice cream i’ve ever had. We went during the day time so we didn’t have to wait in much of a line, but i’ve heard the line can get pretty long. They are cash only, like most places down the shore. They have a ton of flavors. I had the strawberry cheesecake ice cream in a cone and my fiancé had the milk and cookies. The ice cream is homemade and incredible. Super rich and creamy. I ate mine so fast, I kept stealing some of his lol. I can’t wait to go back here! It is a little pricey, our bill was over $ 10 for the two of us.

Springers is AWESOME! Aside from the long lines in the summer it is a great place to get hand dipped ice cream. They have a large variety of flavors and the workers are always so friendly! I wish it was open all year round!

Went here as a child and would wait forever for an ice cream cone! Totally worth it. The best ice cream ice ever had in my life. The chocolate peanut butter is my absolute favorite. Also the black raspberry! You have to get the waffle cone. Hoping to come back sometime as an adult and take my husband here!

Springer’s is quite simply a Stone Harbor landmark. If I had it my way, we would cap off every night of vacation here. They line up for blocks around this place and can never quite understand when you see someone walking around with DQ. No offense to DQ, but when in SH, it’s got to be Springer’s! Tons of homemade flavors to suit every taste. I like the red raspberry and my kids love the banana flavored. We do our best to mix up the flavors during our stay. The hours here get trimmed down to 2 – 9 post Labor Day. They could do a better job of signage. The flavors are posted in multiple locations but sizes, cones, etc… Are placed on one tiny sign inside the shop. For a place that heavily relies on efficiency, this one minor flaw that Chip Kelly would frown upon. I think I am going«The Blue One» in a waffle cone tonight!
