One of the best I must say, very informative about locks (maintenance, upkeep) with reasonable prices. Been going to him for 7 years and I have loved each style giving to me. And he washes… This is someone who you can trust in your locks.

He can do many styles that other beauticians can’t. He is extremely creative at coming up with styles. He also is good at making your locs look good (most of the time). Sometimes it’s a miss. However, he doesn’t wash your hair and I think is a bit more expensive than most other beauticians I’ve been to. His prices are on par for New York and Chicago salons. He only uses gel. My scalp gets irritated from gel and so I bring my own product. Hopefully, he has started using some non gel products. Rahki is nice, in that you won’t get the terrible gossipy, homophobic, etc. conversation I’ve experienced at other salons. Overall I think he can do a pretty good job. Please note he does do it from his home, so that can make a difference to some.
