I’m guessing that this venue is not going to generate a Google map which depicts where it actually is. At least until Google gets its act together and updates the hell out of its maps. The reason being this is a new retail complex, with a new town name. As far as I can tell, the old address name for this area previous to it being named«Stone Ridge,» would have been«Aldie,» which the town of Aldie itself is a number of miles to the west. For those of your familiar with the U.S. 50 corridor west of Route 28 — Stone Ridge is west of South Riding, but east of Lenah. So The Daily Grind is the coffee shop dejour for this retail complex. I just hope that it survives the fact that there is a Starbucks inside the Harris Teeter inside the same retail complex. I stopped in here for the first time today for a cup O’ Joe on my way to work via the fabled and legendary Northwest passage which links Reston with Haymarket. I got a medium cup of the Shenandoah something or other blend — with room for cream, and a Cranberry-Orange Scone. I added my cream and Splenda and was off to the races. The coffee was very yummy — strong, yet mild, but still lots of flavor. The Scone was very tasty and quite large. I note they had a bookshelf of books with a sign stating that you can take a book with you, but also requesting folks to drop books off for others to read. Kinda cool! I could see hanging out here with the MacBook Pro and getting some work done!
