Tried this place for lunch. 3 stars for 1) cleanliness, 2) staff friendly, 3) food tastes great. Lost 2 stars for 1) our food didn’t include what it listed on the menu — my veggie panini was missing red peppers, lettuce, & tomato and my husband’s was missing lettuce & tomato, and 2) two sandwiches took forever to get, and others who ordered sandwiches after us got theirs first. If you have all the time in the world, this place would be great, just make sure you get what you’re supposed to. If you have limited time for lunch, go somewhere else.

It saddens me to write this. At one time I would go here every weekend. It was my weekend coffee shop. Since the new owners taken over, it has gone significantly down hill. Their coffee is disgusting. Their chai tea-which used to be my favorite-has changed. The worse part is the attitude I often received from the owner himself. Thankfully the wait staff is incredibly kind and helpful. It is just not the same.

Family owned coffee shop. Owners are very friendly and personable. Delicious breakfast. Cozy place I recommend it to everyone. :-)

I’ve been twice in the last 6 weeks. I’m Not sure what’s happened. But this isn’t the same joint as before. I typically don’t eat breakfast at a coffee shop UNLESS I see a picture of some killer eggs, hash-browns and bacon. Everything microwaved? Really. Not good at all. The coffee is now mediocre. I have picture from when the previous owner ran the shop, of the hot chocolate. This time around NOTEVENCLOSE. Not only was it cold and made without any love. They Skimped on the whip cream, no chocolate drizzle. I’m sure the new owner purchased a successful coffee shop with the intention of keeping things the same. Why then reinvent a successful wheel? Run things the way they were run before you. The same way that made you want to invest your $ and time. My suggestion to the new owners would be to bring in the old owner as a consultant. Pay them well to provide their honest opinion and to offer a roadmap to get back to the way it was before. I really wish them the best. Unfortunately, if things continue the way they currently are I doubt they’ll be open come summertime.

Checked out this place to get some work done and was pleased to find lots of seating, I probably got lucky as I’m sure this place gets packed on the weekends. Not too spacious but enough to room to work with one other friend. I wish they had more outlets available as the only tables with outlets were the high tables next to the window. Ordered a soy latte and there was nothing special about it, just good enough to sip on while I worked. Also got a cookie later(ask to get it wanted up!) and it was also decent. They have a lot of sandwiches so next time I’ll def have to try one. Another downside is they close at 6 during the week which to me is a bit early. I will keep this place in mind though if I’m ever in this area.

Semi regular customer here over the last 3 years. Noticed a significant change in simply the couple of sandwiches that I used to rely on. BLT completely ridiculous now that ownership changed. How so? My last two BLT’s were one piece of lettuce, one thin tomato slice and maybe 2 – 3 pieces of thin bacon in between two enormous slices of bread. The current version should be half price! Used to be at least twice as much stuff. Other basic sandwiches– same slighting of stuff that made them good. Please take this as constructive as no new owners can afford to lose regulars. Gonna give them one more try to get it fixed.

I WANT to like it. I do. I want to like a local place. The latte I had was just weird. Gritty, maybe? It also tasted a bit too milky like it didn’t have enough espresso shots. I think I need to give it another chance and I will eventually but for now, I was unimpressed. Another small detail was, three people were working and only 5 people were sitting in the shop and it was super dirty. Tables needed to be wiped down, trash was overflowing, there was dirty napkins and crumpled straw wrappers on some of the tables… I wasn’t happy with that. It takes 5 minutes to quick clean the lobby to look presentable. I was sad about that because I came with my husband and kids to sit and enjoy our drinks for a bit. I’m sorry those who will shun me for not loving and supporting the locally-owned place! I promise I will try it again!

This is your«coffee shop next door». It is so quaint and the staff are extremely friendly. I had their latte with snickers in it and it was so delicious!

Was looking for a coffee shop to do some work during my lunch break, and this one fit the bill. Very kid friendly — to the point where every time I’ve been, there have been packs of roaming toddlers half a dozen strong toddling all over while their mommies have lunch dates. Take this as you will… I try to get one of the high tables so I’m above their eye level. My marinated chicken panini was super delicious, and the candy bar-themed coffee drinks live up to their names, definitely not for the diabetic among us. Their gelato looks really good too. My one downside is that the prices are a little steep for a shopping center joint this far west. My sandwich was about $ 8…

This is a quiet quaint neighborhood coffee nook, it’s kid friendly, has a patio with live music on certain nights, the pastries are made in house and so yummy. Their coffees are hand crafted by their attentive staff, even if it’s your first visit they make you feel like a regular when you walk in. Best neighborhood coffee shop!!!

This morning was my first time trying out Mug N’ Muffin. I’ve lived in Aldie for around 8 months now but never tried it out after my Mother stated the prices were too high and it wasn’t «all that.» But I liked the cozy look of the place and the cute name so I decided to try it for myself. My Grandmother and I chose to have a quick breakfast here, despite it being nearly 1PM(we tend to be late risers sometimes). This particular afternoon it was a bit crowded, and by crowded I mean that the dining area was nearly packed to capacity. Maybe it’s just me, but I immediately didn’t get the best vibe off of the place upon entering. The first thing that bothered me was the lack of a welcoming from the workers. No «hello,» no greeting, nothing. Unless of course you’re a regular. They seem to have the warmest welcome for people they actually know. New customers? Eh, not so much. And not only that, we stood there at the counter looking over the menu for at least two to three minutes and no one even bothered to utter a simple, «how can I help you?» One of the workers literally stood right in front of us behind the counter, sipping on a drink and didn’t even look us in the eye before finishing her drink off and walking around to do something else. The atmosphere in this place is just… dry. It would’ve been unbearably awkward if it weren’t for the stereo system that, thankfully, plays music. Even the customers seemed to all solemnly sit in their seats, some glued to their phones and laptops, barely even conversing at all. I’ve never been in a café and seen such an immense assortment of antisocial people in my life. It was almost comical. Their menu selection didn’t turn me any which way and it isn’t very extensive at all. I spent a lot of time looking over the menu because everything seemed pretty basic and lackluster. Nothing«wowed» me so to speak. However, I ended up settling for a small coffee and an egg and cheese sandwich. My Grandmother ordered the Reuben sandwich and chips. The cashier who took our orders was very nice and helpful in answering some questions we had about the food before we ordered. We found a seat near the window and sat down until our food was ready. I thought it was a nice touch that the servers bring your food to the table once it’s ready. Unfortunately, my Grandmother was not amused. She said that the meat on her sandwich was a little tough and dry. My breakfast sandwich was good, but it wasn’t even close to being worth what I paid for it. I easily could’ve made the same sandwich at home. Also, I don’t know what beans they use for the coffee but it was very bitter. I’m glad I chose to give this place a try, but I won’t be coming back. The prices are a bit too high for the(basic) food selection they offer, and I wasn’t too fond of the dry atmosphere and customer service.

Local breakfast & snack joint. Sandwiches are fine(their pickles are delish). As for breakfast, their bagels are thick and generous on spread. Their waffles with fruit topping are fantastic and filling. Bacon strips were a bit sad(thin, overcooked, perhaps microwaved?). Its a bit overpriced but for the convenience its worth saving me a commute back into town.

They have one of the best BLT on a Croissant sandwiches I’ve ever had. I are there two days in a row! Quiet space; great for working and some time alone. Super friendly staff as well.

You can’t beat this for a local coffee spot. We love going here for coffee, and the great breakfast sandwiches– served all day. I take my kids at least once a month and we sit and eat and drink and use the wi-fi for homework or whatever. They also have a reading lending library that my son has picked up some great books before. I’ve met girlfriends here for a drink(beer) before too. They also support the community in a big way. They gave to my son’s Scout project and they give to the local events too. I am so glad they are part of our community. They support us, and we support them. I just wish they’d bring back the summer Friday night concert series. If they do, we all should come out and support our local bands and singers!

Absolutely love this place! I go about 3 times a week for coffee or a breakfast Sandwich. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing! And the service is always very friendly, and helpful. It’s is obvious to see that this is a family run business that takes pride in the establishment. The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is because of the unusually long waits for food.

I truly just love this place; it’s so quaint and cute inside. Their breakfast sandwiches are very good, coffee is equally delicious. I love supporting my neighborhood coffee shop vs. ‘the other guys’. I’m not sure if the elderly man who is usually there is the owner, but he’s always very sweet. I also enjoy pursuing the take a balk, leave a book shelves! What a novel(no pun intended ;)) concept!

There’s a nice appeal about a locally-owned coffee shop in a suburban area, and one of the great«must-knows» about Loudoun County in general is, even though it’s «the boonies» in some respects, there is no shortage of nice«mom-and-pop» businesses that actually command a ton of local and frequent patrons. Although I don’t live in the Stone Ridge area, some friends and I like to use this shopping center as a meeting point for coffee and a snack before or after going for scenic drives on the weekends. Seems like a nice spot for families and regulars to sit an enjoy a leisurely coffee or meet-up. We enjoyed sipping our lattes on the outdoor patio. I was really pleasantly surprised with how inexpensive the menu items are; always a nice kind of a shock. I wanted to give 5 stars, but I was less than impressed with the guy behind the counter and his latte-making skills, but hey, I still drank the whole thing and didn’t complain, so no big deal.
