Ridiculously long wait for ice cream tonight. Lots of people standing around… Floor filthy with trash… They took orders quickly but then didn’t seem to haves plan to fill them. Very nice guy working the window though.

Breakfast at friendly’s is no longer friendly and or edible. The staff is un accommodating, they never answer the phone if you need a take out order and when you go in there to be seated and no one is waiting ahead of you still be prepared to stand there as the morning ladies stare at you and keep walking. We waited over 20 minutes for a waitress to take our order and then kept waiting for our breakfast to be served people actually got up and left… Whoever the chef is can’t crack an egg if it hit him on the head. Eggs over easy was more eggs over a hard dry yolk! Yuck! I say at this point I’d rather eat lard than go back to Unfriendly’s ever again.

The afternoon/evening menu is fairly typical of a burger joint. Reasonable priced. We hit the location about 5:30 pm, five minute wait for our party of four. Waitress had an accent of Irish/Scottish mix and a great personality. The ice cream creations are out of this world, no need to go large, the medium is most places large.

On a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon in late April and only one person working the ice cream window? ! The wait both inside and out were absurd and the staff could care less. There was no sense of urgency to move things along, you would have thought it was a sleepy week day afternoon by how little they were engaged. Clearly this friendly’s is oblivious to the fact that there’s a zoo a mile down the road that has children’s events on Saturday, because they sure don’t staff to meet the demand. We watched many folks walk away… lost opportunity friendly’s and unless things have changed dramatically since the new CEO was brought on board a few years ago, I wouldn’t think you could afford to let cash walk out the door.

Went to get ice cream here like usual and this time was bad. Took them 5 minutes for someone to even greet me. Phone was ringing off the hook and the worst part was there was a HAIR in my ice cream… A long girls hair. And a guy scooped it for me. Didn’t even get half way through my ice cream before I threw it out. Never going back again.

After waiting 25 minutes to be seated we waited another 40 minutes for food. No joke, 40 minutes. I saw ppl who were seated after us served before us. There was just two of us and thé order was very simple. I got the big BLT. What a joke. There was a little bit of chopped bacon and a slice of tomato the size of a french fry. Speaking of frys, they were cold. Very cold. The only reason they get 2 stars and not 1 is we were not charged for my untouched meal and my son’s meal. Then the manager told my son he could pick out an ice cream cake on the house. I would be hard pressed to ever go back. Btw, this was my first visit to a Friendly’s restaurant.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at this location. Service and food was awful. My waitress was training a new kid and while he was taking our order she was playing with her hair over my table. Then our order is taken. Waited about 15 mins for food not bad. The food then comes well some of it. The kids and myself got food, my friend did not get hers and the waitress said the cook lost the slip so she then had to wait an extra ten minutes for her food. On top of that I didn’t get all my food I was missing a side dish. So after I’m already done eating what I could I had to ask for my side dish because they never brought it. My eggs were dry, my French toast tasted as if they just dunked the bread it egg and browned it. Then they said they would take the late meal off the check which they didn’t we had to remind them so. Overall I probably will never return to this location again I would rather go to mcdonalds for breakfast.

After our long day at the Zoo, we stopped in for some lunch on 3÷9÷16. Yes it was very busy, but once we were seated we had a young waitress who had just started. I didn’t catch her name but I remember she had a Hamsa hand necklace on at the time. She was beyond helpful and did everything she could to get us exactly what we needed. Keep it up girl :)

I’ve been going to this Friendlys location since I was a child and now it’s one of the last ones left. Ice cream is always solid. Food can be hit or miss. This location always draws a large crowd so there’s usually a wait. There’s a lot of staff turnover and most of them are high school kids, so the service isn’t great

Absolutely horrible! We were seated after 30min then another 30min for the our order to be taken. Food came out quickly. All together it took us 2hrs to eat dinner and get ice cream. Before we left I ran to the restroom, which is next to the kitchen. I could see in from near the restroom and saw bags of French fries sitting on the dirty kitchen floor. This is unacceptable. I would not recommend eating here!

Friday evening — quite busy, we had a wait. Hostess apologetic and attentive. Food took a while but it was very tasty and the price is very good. Mini mozzarella sticks were very good, as were the waffle fries with cheese, bacon etc. I really enjoyed my fried clam strips plate. However, my wife’s BLT was scant on the bacon. Friendly waitress. Bad Unilocal made me check things out tightly, but I saw a lot of proactive workers doing things like topping off condiments and cleaning, and I don’t think I heard any griping or yelling among the staff.

Amazing place! I go here 2 – 5 times a year, and it’s been good everytime! Waiting is actually kind of long, but as long as you go late at night(6:30−8:00) then seating is not a problem. Waiting for your order is also annoying, but when you get the actual food, it’s like biting into heaven. The burger and fries are amazing, warm and fluffy and the ice cream is actually pretty good. I will definately be back! :D

I understand it’s a Friendly’s and not fine dining. The last two times we visited here(for breakfast and dinner), we were pleasantly surprised. They had a new menu that was much better than I remembered, good portions, served in a fun way(burgers and chicken fingers on sticks) for the kids, hot fresh fries in cute baskets, and decent coupon offers that made it worth visiting. Service was even decent even though Friendly’s was always infamous for crappy service. Well we went back there last night. It was like bizarro world, and they decided to undo all the good changes they made to the restaurant. They gave us old ratty menus with completely different items than the last time, didn’t offer the«Fiver»(their $ 5 special of the month), kids menu was different, and there were a ton of staff members just milling around, sitting at guests’ tables. It was a Thursday night and the restaurant was half full and there must have been at least 10 waitstaff on hand. We should have just left once we looked at the crappy menus. They would not accept my free kid’s meal coupon(they said it was only good in Springfield, but we used a similar one there before). They gave us ketchup packets(!) instead of a squeeze bottle when one was at the empty table next to us. Repeated requests for silverware. Waitresses dropping bits of chicken fingers and salad everywhere and not even caring. Finally they bring out our burgers and it was the wrong one(forgot the bacon and tomato) and tiny, like a McDonald’s cheeseburger! The waitress tells us: «Oh, I guess I just grabbed a burger, and figured it’s just a burger!» Wha??? When we paid there was a survey on the check telling me to sign up in order to get the same coupons that I tried to give her and they supposedly no longer accept. Poor form. We won’t be back.

Food took forever to come out, my toddler was screaming because it took a solid hour for them to get out the meals. We ordered cheeseburgers and a salad. That’s it. The staff looked frazzled and not connected to what the other staff members were doing, and it seemed like lots of aimless running around to tables to see what they forgot. Our waitress Kelly was nice, but we didn’t see her the whole time we waited for the food. The food was also cold when we got it. Basically just waiting to leave.

I came here with 2 others on a Friday afternoon. When we looked through the window we thought it would be packed but it only took 10 minutes after all. The food was good. We ordered 2 burgers with lettuce tomato onions and pickles, and a lobster roll. the burgers were cooked to perfection. But they forgot the pickles and onions and put mayo on it. So they brought that out on the side. My only complaint is that there isn’t enough seating and the lock in the men’s room doesn’t work. I would come back again.

It smells awfully funny in here and this place isn’t the most sanitary. Service is pretty sad, it was a full house and there were only about 1 – 2 wait staff. Also the wait time for food was almost 30 minutes for a sammich my friend and I ordered. Seems like management could step up their game a bit. I ordered a bbq chicken melt and it was pretty good! Better than I expected LOL and it was decently priced meal. Quite dry and not enough sauce as well. Ordered an ice cream as well and I wanted a cone. When it was served it came out broken… Like bruh how are you gonna do that to me? It was served on a dish and I couldn’t even pick it up without the cone falling apart. Don’t expect much when coming to a Friendly’s. LOL.

This place is my guilty pleasure solely because I love their buffalo chicken. If I could buy it, I would never come again. The service is next to terrible. Every time I come here my waitress divides her time busing tables, dealing with complaints, bringing my food, and drink. In that order. I hold this place dear because my mom was a waitress here during my childhood but the inexperience of the staff is overwhelming. I’ve never had waitresses fighting over tables in front of me while so many tables were looking for their server. This restaurant is a joke. The staff can’t even get servers right. The service is TERRIBLE.

The waitress Maggie was very pleasant and if I was rating on her alone she would definitely get a 4⁄5 stars. This location is small and filthy. The food is disgusting and should not be consumed. I do NOT recommend this Friendly Ice Cream Location. Avoid at all costs!

Slow slow slow. First of all they skipped me and put another family at a table before me– another 15 minutes to wait. Then we sit– 15 minutes until I get my order taken. Then 10 minutes to wait for drinks(no refills) another 10 minutes for my app– 5 minutes for the marinara sauce– 10 more minutes for the food. THEN25 minutes waiting to order ice cream. Ended up just taking ice cream to go because I was over the wait. An hour and 50 minutes later I walked out thw door pissed that I even wanted to come. Was it busy? A little, not crazy busy. The waiter was super nice– and clearly over worked. Skip it!
