We ordered a vegetable quesadilla that was a mess and beef tacos that were slightly better. The onions in the beef tacos seemed to have been sliced in four and sautéed a bit. The beef was a bit too dry and prepared a long while ago. Someone did not want to cook that day. Side note: The restaurant was clean.

Guys, If you post that you are open at 5am and serve breakfast then you should be open. Irregular hours, hit or miss quality. Pass on 3 friends…

Food was excellent. Portions were huge. I had the chili verde and now I understand the whole New Mexico red vs green thing. I am definitely a team green person. Had left overs which were even better than the first time around. My friend had the flautas which sounded suitably crunchy. My only problem was the retried beans could have used some spice. A pinch salt and some pepper made it taste much better. Very light.

Great place. Many Hispanics were dining there so that means it had to be authentic central/South American food. I had the marcha(beef & eggs). Meat was moist. An odd spice was added which I’m guessing was mint. I mixed the beef and the retried beans together to masked the flavoring. Place is byob too. Was able to bring in a nice bottle of chardonnay. Fast & friendly with reasonable prices. I would go back.

Stopped in here for lunch with a coworker. A large menu with all kind of options for burritos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and combo plates. Lunch entrée plates come with house rice and beans, a nice addition that paired well with my choice of the ultimate chicken burrito. House chips and salsa brought to the table to start. At night it’s BYOB which is a nice option without having to own a full liquor license. All in all, a nice little spot in Stoneham. You won’t be disappointed.

It was a long while since I’ve had good, solid Mexican food but we were lucky to have stumbled upon Three Amigos in Stoneham, which was close to where we live. The place is small but it had character. The menu is a bit robust and the choices seemed limitless. Whether you’re in the mood for a taco salad, burrito, enchiladas or fajitas, this place had a variety of options for each course. To top it off, hey had the real sugar Coke in the bottles(which if you get, grab from the fridge at the front and also grab a bottle opener at the counter!) The meals were a good size and if you wanted to add more, you could(ie rice and beans) and it wasn’t that more expensive. All in all, the flavors were on point and the food delicious. Not too spicy or overwhelming. This place is legit and had a lot going on for it. I highly recommend Three Amigos for great Mexican food!

The Mexican cuisine just doesn’t do it for my pallet in general, but when I tried the soft shell steak tacos here, it became my go-to place when I’m craving something meaty. The steak is tender, juicy and so flavorful, the sauces are tasty and the toppings are fresh. The tacos are huge, and two are more than enough for my meal. Also, this is one of the few places that never upsets my sensitive digestion system — speaks to the freshness of their products and proper sanitation practices in the kitchen.

Read reviews online– looked like a good choice for takeout with a friend. Restaurant is cute and simple. Ordered a shredded beef burrito and a cheese enchilada. My friend ordered a quesadilla and beef taco. Came with rice and beans. Super disappointing! Meat was not seasoned at all on either dish. Rice plain and dry. Should have gone to On the Border. At least the food would have been seasoned. Never going back. Nothing Mexican about this restaurant.

If you’re looking for something that is Tex-Mex, don’t go here. This is a frantic as it can get without having to step across the border with a passport. Their food is amazing, and very very inexpensive. You can buy tacos by the taco. 123 or four? Your choice. We went in on a Saturday night at the last minute unexpectedly, looking for a bite to eat because our original plans had Alan through. We were greeted warmly and told to sit where we’d like to. The only downside to this place? Your seating is sub shop style. Uncomfortable booths and tables. I wish that they spent some time and actually updating that so people can enjoy their food and a full experience other than just more like a takeout feel. We were greeted warmly by the waitress and asked if we wanted something to drink. We both got sodas from that chest, and sat back down. Homemade salsa, hot or mild. And what I believe are homemade chips as well. They also sold them in bags if we wanted to take some home. Flavorful, and didn’t taste processed. I like that. He got the chorizo tacos, and I got a shredded beef taco. We also got guacamole. I can’t say enough about the meal. It was just so good. You really need to go and experience it yourself.

Inexpensive, good good. I’m from SoCal and the Mexican food selection there is huuuuge… so I am very picky about my Mexican food. I ordered chx mole enchiladas and they were alright. No.1 I’m a huge mole fan… you either love it or hate it… and the mole here at 3 amigos was just sweet. I like my mole sweet and very spicy. So after I added salt and lots of tapatio it was good. My hubby’s carve asada burrito was AMAZING!!! So delicious! The cheese fries(not Mexican) but they were a nice size portion and delicious! Yummy chips and salsa. Cons: no fountain drinks… only bottled drinks. I like refills… they did have tap water and cups but that’s it. Chips weren’t freshly made… and the ketchup was in packets… little weird but it is a to go place too… so the packaged ketchup made a little sense. I would definitely go back for a burrito! I won’t be disappointed !!!

My fiancée and I discovered this place after finding a 50 minute wait at Border Café. Upon calling, Byron answered the phone, assuring me that I wouldn’t be facing more than a short wait. We arrived to find all tables occupied but were told that we would be sat in a matter of 5 – 10 minutes(not too bad of a wait comparatively). Unfortunately, between take out and another couple who wanted to dine-in arriving after us, there was a bit of confusion. The other couple accidentally were seated first. My fiancée and I aren’t complainers but after having already been to another restaurant — we were hungry and ready to eat. I spoke up and Byron insisted on comping our entire meal. The service was friendly and did not take long! We found ourselves enjoying a steaming plate of nachos within ten minutes of being sat. The guacamole was obviously fresh and the nachos were not lacking. For our meals, my fiancée ordered the Steak Fajita Taco Salad which was huge! The steak was perfect — not too fatty. And the peppers and onions were thick and juicy! I had a shredded beef quesadilla — it was wonderful as well. We enjoyed everything so much that I wanted to at least pay for part of my meal but Byron refused to accept any money unless it was for the tip jar. Of course I conceded and left $ 20 as a tip. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food served in a very friendly environment, I highly recommend Three Amigos. P. S. This restaurant is BYOB — which I did not know prior to arrival!

I always enjoy my meal from Three Amigos… As a matter of fact, I’m eating a steak burrito from there right now… amazing. Ready in ten minutes as they had told me… hot, stuffed, and yummy! I would highly reccomend this place. Been going for years… home made salsa… yum!

Tried this place after years of being in Stoneham. Dine in is great. fast and friendly. BYOB and homemade tortilla chips and salsa is great! Prices are very reasonable. The taco salad is a must have. My only complaint is the seasoning of the meat. The a shredded chicken is good in tacos, quesadillas, and taquitos but seemed rather tasteless. Hot sauce helps greatly. The ground beef was close to inedible. Hoping the shredded beef is better.

I love coming here! The food is amazing and really flavorful. I like the chicken tacos with rice and beans. The chips and salsa here is very yummy. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Overall, my family and I really like Three Amigos. The food is pretty solid and portions are generous. I’d definitely recommend it. Our favorites include the chimichanga and steak taquitos. However, it tastes a little dry on occasion. And they don’t have a reliable menu online, so it can be hard to order if you don’t have a paper menu. The first time we ordered take out, my husband came home and announced that he had brought us dinner but he wasn’t actually sure what he had ordered. It turns out he had ordered an extra side of chips which ended up being a HUGE bag that lasted us weeks.

This place is great! Great food and great staff. I’m from Southern California and Mexican food is a big part of our diet. This place is very close to what we eat in California too! Made me feel at home. The beans and rice are kind of eh… But the hot salsa is pretty good, carne Asada tacos are really good, and the guacamole is to die for!

I could eat here everyday if it wouldn’t prevent me from seeing my toes ever again… We found this place while living in Stoneham, and the food is amazing. I have only had the Tacos and the carne asada burrito but that’s only because they are so amazing I can’t even look at the rest of the menu. So when you walk in its kind of a hybrid restaurant that has table service combined with a takeout feel. It’s a BYOB establishment but for me that makes no difference to me. The service staff is extra friendly and always dead on with order accuracy. I wish I have tried more things on their menu but I never regret that burrito. Do yourself a favor and check it out, it’s truly phenomenal!

In the two years I have been going to Three Amigos I have not been disappointed once! The chicken is always perfectly cooked, super moist and flavorful, and that enchilada sauce? I could go on and on about its garlicky goodness. Salsa is always on point and I highly recommend the chicken taquitos with guacamole to anyone, whether you’ve been here before or not, definitely give this a try. We always end our meal with the fried plantains and then slowly drag our over stuffed selves to the car. The pricing is reasonable for what you get and my only complaint is the lack of soup, I bet they could make a killer sopa de ajo and their chicken could only get better in soup form.

It’s difficult for me to write a review about Mexican food in Boston because I grew up eating Mexican food in Southern California(orale). My tastes and preferences lean toward the tastes that remind me of home, so please forgive my bias. In any case, I’m going to rate this in context to the food that I’ve had in this area. It only seems fair. Three amigos has a pretty good carne asada plate, one that has been unmatched by any other restaurant around Boston. This and the fish tacos have been the only dishes that I’ve ordered, but they’re pretty good options for your first time. Casual dining, nice people, good tortilla chips, carne asada fiesta. Also, any place that serves horchata already gets an extra star in my book. Yay! I’m a fan.

Solid Mexican joint in Stoneham. Stopped by for some takeout and ordered a shrimp fajita plate and a chicken chimichanga burrito. Both came with a small side of homemade tortilla chips, they were crunchy but were not salted. The chimichanga was good, I really enjoyed the crispy exterior. The shrimp fajitas were also good, the beans that came on the side were just ok. Also got the tres leches, it was good but not memorable.
