A-mazing selection of incredible jewelry. My boyfriend & I were there in January. Not a busy time in Stonington. The service was fine. 2 girls there said to let them know if we needed help. When I asked to see a couple things they were right there. I could’ve spent hundreds there but kept it to one beautiful pair of agate earrings. Nothing else in this town is worth the drive from Worcester except this store. Loved it!

I have been going to AK Dasher for many years and loved it. About two years ago the earring selections changed leaving me very few good choices. There was a change in other areas. My friends and I go there much less and prefer how it was earlier. It is a matter of different management(it seems).

I have been going here for years and must say their jewelry is beautiful. I was there this past Saturday afternoon and had a terrible experience. I picked out several pairs of earrings to purchase and when I asked one of the two girls who were working to please help when they had a second the girl said yes I’ll be over soon. The shop was busy and one woman was returning and exchanging all kinds of things so I knew I had to be patient, but after 20 minutes of standing ignored I left. The part that is the most upsetting is the 2 girls were busy with 5 other customers and the(appeared to be) owner was sitting in the back watching tv. The girls kept popping their heads in the back and asking him jewelry questions and instead of coming out to help them or his other customers he sat in the back. After reading the other girls post about not helping her out for her wedding rings and this experience, I am done with Al dashers for a while. I’m not sure if it’s new ownership or something else, but something has changed for the worse for this business.

Wow I am so disappointed I have been going there for 11 years now I buy all gifts there for family and I always send customers there. I got married today and was so sad when my rings didn’t fit because I am pregnant. After the wedding we ran to ak dasher to purchase a ring because I leave for travel tomorrow for 5 weeks. Apparently they close at 6 it used to be 7. I was at the door at 6:03 they saw me and turned the lights off. I called and told them the situation thinking they might do a good deed but instead they turned me away and said sorry we close at 6 how heartless can you be? I am in the service industry and I would never have been able to do that to someone on such a special day… you should be ashamed of yourself for being so rude. I will not refer anyone else to you nor will I purchase from you again.

I’ve stopped in a lot of boutique jewelry shops hoping to find a unique piece, but I’ve never seen prices that would match AK Dasher’s for authentic sterling designs! I walked away with an onyx cuff for about $ 30 where I’ve seen similar designs for close to $ 100! I will definitely stop in again!

A smörgåsbord of silver jewelry! Great inexpensive pieces with stones, gems and amber and also a small collection of gold pieces.

I headed to Mystic this weekend for a wedding. My boyfriend and I had enough time before our flight back to LA to do some exploring, but not enough time to drive up to Boston and live it up like the college days. This mad me a sad face. That sad face was not to last long. I reached out to some friends who lived in the area and asked for some time killing ideas. I got a lot of recommendations for places to eat(which I’ll get to later) and a few museums, wine tours, and casino recommendations, but we didn’t have that kind of them. Then, I got the recommendation to check out AK Dasher. Let’s get things straight. I wear a minimal amount of jewelry, a tongue ring and a nipple ring(classy!). But I have a mom and she wears nicer things. I know, it’s not possible. My friend recommended that I check it out for Christmas presents. I was disappointed that CHRISTMASCOMESONLYONCE A YEAR! Cause, damn, I would buy this entire store up. Let’s start with what I did purchase. My mom is not into big pieces of jewelry. She really likes turquoise and pieces with a Western influence. I got her a very nice necklace and matching bracelet. I was expecting to pay a shit ton, but it was only $ 70. That is when I had to be pulled out of the store by my boyfriend because I started shopping for myself. Me, a person who does not wear necklaces or bracelets or rings or earrings. I was contemplating dropping $ 200 on some really awesome amber pieces. I’m sad, though it’s probably for my own good, that they do not have a website. I like that it means that your piece is individual and not mass produced, but how can I get my fix! Perhaps, I’ll drive up from PA during Christmas and pick up something nice for myself. If you are in the area, whether you like jewelry or not, stop in!
