Good atmosphere nice waiter /​bartender decent beer, drinks, prices but I definitely wouldn’t recommend the food.

Food is not good whatsoever. However the crowd and the staff make up for the shortcomings in the kitchen. If swinging by for a bite stick with the patty melt. By far the best option on the menu.

They have the best wings! Wednesday nights they have a special for 50 can’t wings and 2.50 yuenglings. They have kareoke on Friday nights and a dj on Saturdays many times. It’s a fun place to get a few drinks with friends.

I was looking for a localish good meal and a friend who lives there posted about a great meal at Facebook. It became my destination the next day. First off, tiny irish pub. GREAT service. The burgers were awesome. My swordfish (which is NEVER easy to pull off, but I wanted to test them), was SOO good. The salads were big and yummy. It was definitely a good good find and u should check them out!

We found Halligans thanks to Unilocal and came on down based on John D’s review. He is right, it’s a small, very nice and quiet Irish pub. It’s located at the end of a strip mall and if you aren’t looking you will cruise right by it.
Beers $ 8, really $ 8? I am not sure where they came up with this but your losing at least 1 star right away. However the more I think about it maybe 1.5 stars. $ 6 I could live with but $ 8 for a beer… come on.
Food We ordered chili, it was ok. It came in a small crock pot with lots of cheese and some nachos on the side. The chili could have used a bit more flavor or spice but it was ok. Not great, but ok. It was a nice size portion.
We also split an order of Filet Mignon Sliders. There were 3, smothered in onion and blue cheese crumbles. They were tender but the flavor was missing a bit here as well.
Maybe we left our taste buds at home but the flavor was just not there. Service was good. Our new beers were served before we finished our first round but we actually we going to skip a second so…
Halligans is a solid 3 star place, would we go back? Probably not because of other places in the area but we won’t rule it out either

Went in for lunch. I don’t drink but have been in my share of Pubs.
Everything is fairly new, clean and comfortable. The girl behind the bar was friendly.
The menu is simple, about $ 10 & up. After a discussion with the server as to whether get the chicken sandwich or the patty melt, I went with her suggestion and opted for the patty melt. Mmm, good choice. Juicy and tasty.
Would go again.

This place is kind of a sleeper. I’ve driven by here many times and never even noticed it!
Halligan’s is a nice, clean, quaint, and well priced bar. The staff is very extraordinarily friendly. The food, which is standard bar fare, is extremely tasty. I ordered a steak quesadilla which took a little longer than I would have expected to prepare, but was delicious.
When I saw that Halligan’s was hosting a band for the evening, admittedly, I had pretty low expectations. You know, neighborhood bar in the ‘burbs… Well, I was wrong, Recovery Theory rocked out!
I’ll be coming back to this comfortable establishment.

Have to agree with Greg. The bar is nice, clean and well staffed. Ordered Buffalo wings and they were very good. Not the best in Rockland but certainly worth ordering.
My wife ordered a french dip and it was huge. She did offer everyone at the table her fries because she said «she would never finish them». Well that was a bit of a lie because her plate was clean by the time she finished.
Def worth checking out — especially for a ball game.

Best part about this place is that you enter through a side door. If you are fortunate enough to face the front door, you can enjoy watching the idiots try for a solid 15 seconds to open the locked door before they read the sign 6 inches from their faces saying «Enter through side door».

This place was relatively new. I have a friend who lives locally and had never been here. It’s not a big place so don’t expect a huge restaurant, this is more of a bar. There were TV’s all over the place witch was a good thing since we were there for a Yankee playoff game. All I ordered was wings and we decided to sample the BBQ and Buffalo and the were worth it. Good bar, good food and like I said, it seemed new so it was clean, I will be back!
