A strangely designed hotel — looks like it’s made up of bits of other old hotels that dropped from the sky. I’ve stayed here twice. On the bright side: Excellent air-conditioning, slightly above-average continental breakfast(don’t show up barefoot). Surprisingly bearable and firm bed. On the other hand: Abysmally slow and unreliable internet(also, my wifi device barely worked — maybe the hotel is a giant magnet, or something). The room I stayed in this time smelled weird — I couldn’t tell from what. Maybe it was some sort of cleaning solution, or maybe not… Most alarmingly, there was something brown and hardened stuck to the bathroom sink faucet. I lost some sleep time by trying to convince myself that it wasn’t what it seemed like it was. There were also long hairs on the toilet. Maybe this wasn’t the best cleaned room in the hotel. Not surprisingly, the tub drains very slowly, so the water quickly rises past your ankles while showering. And the soap film build-up results in the slipperiest tub floor I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. Walls and doors are thin, so don’t get a room near the noisy ice machine/elevator/stairwell area. And hope that your neighbors aren’t having a noisy fight(which happened the first time I stayed here). The fitness center is in a separate building, and isn’t open 24-hours. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many other relatively reasonably priced options in this convenient stop on I-81, so I may have to stay here yet again. The AC is good! In the future: check out the room carefully before setting up camp for the night, make sure it’s actually clean, and be sure to get a room that’s not anywhere near the ice machine/elevator/stairwell hub.

I stayed here in June 2015. I liked it. Clean, new, modern. I paid about $ 75 with AAA discount. Good value. There is no on-site restaurant, but restaurants are nearby. There is an on-site recreation building with indoor pool and fitness room, but the building is dirty, messy and strange. The indoor pool was poorly maintained and I would not swim in it. I recommend this motel because the main building, lobby and motel rooms are quite nice. The free breakfast was above average, especially compared to a Super 8 I stayed in during the same trip, in Roanoke VA.

Our hotel room had the faint smell of urine and does not appear to have been vacuumed very well. On the plus side there were no bed bugs present when we lifted the mattress. If you have a dog this hotel is pet friendly and quite a few people had their dog with them. The pool is across the street in a separate building that appears to double as a pool for the swim team/community. It is very run down. The ceiling appears to be falling down, the hot tub is empty and appears to be a trash receptacle, there is something brown on floor of the pool, the restroom/changing room was filthy. A room with double beds cost $ 87 with tax Not worth the money!!! Unfortunately we were pigeon holed into staying as all surrounding hotels were completely booked and we had driven all day.

When I first got there I was not impressed with the attitude of the person behind the counter and Really did not like that We were given a room on the first floor where the entire floor is like a smokers paradise… my wife and I can’t stand smoke. Literally when you walk in the hall of the first floor your overwhelmed with the smell of smoke. Luckily we were able to get a room on the second floor afterwards and it was better. Once that was changed the rest of the stay wasn’t bad. The breakfast was better than expected, which was nice. It’s not a terrible place to stay, just if you don’t smoke, make sure you don’t have a room on the first floor. just don’t expect anything special at the hotel either.

DONOTSTAYHERE! We stayed here a few weeks ago and there was an incident in the room across the hallway from us around 3am– I’m not going to get into the gory details, but let’s just say it involved many cops and an ambulance. We were right next to the lobby, so we could overhear the cops interviewing people all night from our room, in addition to screaming in the room across from us and yelling in the hallway. It goes without saying that we didn’t get much sleep. The Ramada initially told us we would get a refund, but since we booked through a third party they said I would have to go through them. When the third party I booked through reached out to the Ramada, the Ramada told them I did NOT qualify for a refund because I was not in the room next to the incident. What horrible customer service. I will never stay at this Ramada or at any Ramada ever again. If they just apologized and refunded us for our stay, I would hold nothing against the Ramada and wouldn’t be sitting here leaving a one star review. However, since my stay was ruined and I did not even get an apology, let alone a refund, I will never EVER stay at a Ramada ever again, and I will warn everyone I ever talk to about staying at one.

This is, beyond any shadow of a doubt, my worst hotel experience ever. We visited the town this weekend, my first visit to my childhood hometown in 21 years. Our room was large, but not very clean(popcorn kernels and dirty tissues on the floor between the bed and nightstand. Ok, I decided I didn’t like that but I could live with that. The garbage can by the vending machine in the lobby was overflowing onto the floor. Again, yuck. But I only had to see it going in and out and decided to ignore it. But the real kicker is that they scheduled a wedding reception on the first floor between 8pm and 11pm with super loud music that caused the entire room to vibrate for three hours(and I was on the 3rd floor. I can’t bear to imagine what it must have been like for the folks on the first and 2nd floors). Have you ever been sitting at a stoplight next to someone with deep, rattling bass and the music cranked? Imagine that x100 for three solid hours after 8 hours of driving. Not only was there no warning from the staff that this was going to take place, but when I called down to complain(because I thought it was someone in the room next door) the receptionist sounded quite put out that I wasn’t happy to have all that noise for three solid hours when all I wanted to do was sleep. Needless to say, I will NOT be staying at this Ramada Inn at all, and likely will NOT be staying at another Ramada Inn again ever.

Pet friendly, which is a must for us. Pool was closed due to some issue. Lots of parking. Our room was close to the check in/out desk which made me nervous that it would be loud, but it was not. Mexican restaurant next door, but did not check it out.
