This would be a great diner to go to IF YOU ARE NOT BLACK OR HISPANIC!!! They are EXTREMELY racist. I used to come here all the time with my mother and the service was normal like any other diner. However, the last couple of months I have been coming here once a month before work with my (black) boyfriend and the service was HORRIBLE! I keep giving them chances ONLY because the food is decent. However, just like other reviews about this restaurant, my experience wasn’t far from it. We walked in, never got a greeting or anything we just sat ourselves, the waitress came over and took our drink order (coffee) and then another waitress came over and took our food order, took a normal amount of time to get our food but before our food came out I was already done with my coffee and the woman is walking around with a pot and COMPLETELY ignores our table, she literally walked right pass and filled up the table next to us. Then our food came out and not even 3 minutes later our bill came out. I literally didn’t even get to put jelly on my toast yet before they brang our bill over. NEVER asked how everything was, NEVER asked if we wanted anything else. Only reason why I even tipped is because the food was good. Krissy (the manager) was our waitress and I will never be back.

My fiancé and I just moved to Stratford from NY and EVERY Sunday is our brunch day. We had a regular place in NY and when we moved here we were excited to see a brunch spot within walking distance. We walked in, no kind greeting, just sat down. Rushed into ordering, no refills, my fiancé asked for a refill, I never got my iced coffee, water, or his water that I ended up drinking refilled. No one asked how our food was, if everything was ok, or if we needed or wanted something else. But they made sure our check was given immediately. Even when we went up to pay we said thank you and the woman just shook her head, didn’t ask how anything was or thanked us for coming. We have never not given a tip. First time here and first time we’ve left without tipping someone. Too bad the food was good, that’s about it.

This one of the most racial profile service I ever had! The waitress completely ignored us during the whole time. She rushed us into our order. We wanted to order more things but she grabbed the menu from us before we even asked ! She never asked us if we wanted more coffee or something else. I even had to bring my leftovers to the counter, because she wouldn’t pick it up. She was talking to all other customers taking selfies with them, and service them like royalty. She never asked how was everything whatsoever. The food was ok, but with that service, I’ll make sure everybody knows about it.

Lovely place and service. We went on a Sunday morning and got there right before the crowd. We had the ham/​cheese omelet, blueberry muffin (buttery and toasted — amazing!) and the wrapped omelet.
Cheap but delicious food. Will definitely be back!

This sunny, lovely café/​diner is run by just the nicest ladies! I’ve never had a bad omelet at this place and the coffee is good! Free Wifi and lots of interesting and delicious choices on the menu. The portions are very plentiful so you can take some of that skillet home for tomorrow’s breakfast. Clean, cheerful, and pleasant. They also have a large (seats about 12?) table for morning/​lunch meetings in quiet area.

Cute place but really kind of overpriced. The food was good and the waitstaff was friendly but I wish they did have more options as far as their specials are concerned. Most likely will be back because of the overall atmosphere!

Much much better then it used to be. They have been open a long time now. The breakfasts which I get all the time is wonderful and the two Krissy’s are much more friendlier. I guess being a new business at the time it was a big adjustment to greet your customers.

Service was terrible. The waitress was more interested in watching the TV than her customers. The food was mediocre nothing to brag about. We won’t be back.

This is a cute place to get breakfast in Stratford. I have been here a few times and they always have great specials. The service is good and the staff is friendly.

They have the best home fries I have ever had and the french toast is way too good. Won’t eat french toast at most places but I love it here. Just gotta make sure you go early because they’re only open until 2. The owner is usually there and she’s very nice as well. Would definitely recommend this place!!!

I tried giving them another shot but was that a disappointment. The service is not what I’m used to lack of attention forgetting part if our order then trying to charge us for what they forgot after it was brought up twice it would be one thing if they were crazy busy but they weren’t. The food was Luke warm as if it was sitting awhile. I won’t take my family there again.

Whenever I am in the area, I stop at this restaurant with my family usually while Heading to the beach. I have never had a bad meal there. One of my favorites is the biscuits with gravy and eggs but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! My brother usually gets the scrambled eggs with bacon and home fries ! Thinking of the food makes my mouth water! I’ll be back soon!

Went for breakfast over the weekend — we are new to the area and trying out all the breakfast spots. service was good and the waitress was friendly. Food was just ok — nothing to rave about and certainly not good enough to return. The hash browns were barely edible. On to the next place!

Krissy’s Korner is small and a good place to eat your breakfast and chat with your friends. The food is pretty good for a decent price. The only problem I have with this place is that the wait staff didn’t seem to care all that much.

I visit here frequently. I disagree with many reviewers. My food has always been excellent. The specials board makes my decision difficult everytime. So many unique and yummy choices. I find the owner to be very pleasant and organized and now greets me by name and has my decaf coffee ready when i sit down. I am a huge breakfast person and have searched all around for my favorite spot. I find myself back at krissy’s korner frequently. I love it. I have brought many friends with me over the last year and they have all been impressed. Give it a try maybe you will get hooked like i am.

This place doesn’t deserve even 1 star. The wait staff including owner look miserable and treat customers awful.
I wait 30 minutes for eggs and a pancake when the place was empty. The food was delivered and no offer was made for more coffee or water.
My advice– wait til this turns overs before going back. I know I won’t be back as long as it stays Krissys corner!

The food was good but Worst. Service. Ever. We saw our waitress when we ordered food and then when she brought us the check. She was unfriendly, never checked on us, never refilled our coffee, nothing. I can go to IHOP or Denny’s-same food, way better service. Very disappointing. The owner seemed very unfriendly as well, so I don’t see this ever changing. Boo.

We stopped by Krissy’s Korner twice. I would have given it 4 stars the first time! Service and food were excellent!
However the second time was a nightmare!
I ordered french toast, the same meal as the first time, which I loved. However, this time half the pieces were soaked to dripping in the egg mix and the other half were just barely coated. To top it off it not fully cooked! They didn’t charge us for it but my stomach was so turned I couldn’t eat anything else.
My husband ordered the skillet dish, which sounded so nicely layered in the menu; yet it turned out to be a mishmash in a skillet that stank of dishwasher! He tried to ignore the stench but he didn’t come close to finishing his meal due to the smell.
Service was just as disappointing. We personally like a waiter who looks us in the eye and doesn’t mumble. Also important to us is water; so when we ask for it, along with our other drinks, we don’t expect to have to ask again for it. The waiter was no where to be seen so I sat with my uncooked meal for at least 15 minutes before he check on us.
When my husband went to pay for his meal he suddenly thought he was going to be sick so he left me to finish paying. We’re not sure if it was in the skillet but we are not going back here again.

Great Breakfast Nook! Love this local gem… Great food and family atmosphere. Place is clean, staff is polite, family run and owned, open for Breakfast and Lunch. Definitely recommended…
