We have only ever come for happy hour but it is quite the deal! We always get the peel n eat shrimp for only $ 5 and you get 10 pieces! Even though this location is a bit of a hole in the wall, don’t let that fool you. The staff here has always been very friendly and attentive and the food always looks and smells appetizing. They also have a nice patio that is great to sit at during the summers!

Tonight our group met at «Off the Hook,» and immediately greeted by «Vic» who was very cordial. We had a group of 6, and«Nicole» was our server. Ordering off the extensive menu, we had fried whole belly clams, mac’n cheese with lobster and garlic shrimp pasta. Food was very good, drinks were fine, too! We’ll be back!

Another great meal from this gem in the rough. Not much to look at… hole in the wall, BUT food is excellent. Their lobster sandwich is to die for… lots of lobster, NO mayo just drawn butter. Their New England clam chowder was outstanding… becoming a regular.

The best meal I have ever had in my life. Blackened Ahi tuna sandwich. I’m coming back for sure!

Tons of bugs outside. I mean, I get it, it’s outside… but my goodness, I felt like was crawling with tiny gnats. But that’s neither here nor there and not part of the review. You don’t like bugs, sit inside. BUT, with that said… if you’re promoting a patio… spray or something. Charged(3) dollars for a club soda. Waited a long time for a waitress. Ordered a lobster sandwich with a side ceaser salad($ 3.50 upcharge) Salad was barely dressed and didn’t taste like anything special. Lobster sandwich was DRENCHED in butter. Meat was overcooked and not very much. So much in butter that my stomach hurt for hours afterwards. The bread was stale. I took off the top of the sandwich as it was too much stale bread for my taste. Friend ordered a burger(no bun… sub side salad). if the side salad was a $ 3.50 upcharge it would’ve cost her about 13.50 Instead, the waitress told her to get a mesculan salad(9.00) with a burger on top(8.00). You do the math. There are better options.

We had a choice between here and our usual go to. We decided to try this place and I am so happy we did. The food was great, the atmosphere was perfect and the staff was super friendly! It really was the perfect combination of laid back and perfect food! We will definitely be back!

For the 2nd straight Saturday i was told at least a 45 minute wait. Once again, I had my teenage daughters with me and got a very unfriendly feeling that I couldn’t wait for a table bar side with them. Still too cold to wait or eat outside. Oh well… Turns out several area places want my money too.

Wow! This place is a favorite place for me and my boyfriend to go to on a weekday and/or weekend simply because of the amazing down to earth service and willingness to make us happy. Their bread is just so amazing, especially accompanied with their lobster. They were even willing to add blackened tuna and a side of lobster for me on a salad that typically comes with chicken. The food came right away and I just can’t say enough how easygoing and welcoming the atmosphere is! I can’t wait to sit outside during the summertime. Great pricing too! Keep up the great service and food you guys! :)

I have driven by this restaurant many times, and in the summer, there is always a nice crowd sitting on their patio — was anxious to try it as I’ve heard good things. Well, we finally got to try it last Friday– walked in just before it got very crowded. I would give this restaurant 5 stars for their friendly, efficient wait staff(also for the nice big glass of wine!), but food would be only 1 or 2 stars, unfortunately. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but since it is a seafood place, we ordered the fried calamari — we usually order this at every restaurant we go to, usually a good indicator of how the food is. This was a little tough & the dipping sauce not very flavorful. We ordered one of the specials — lobster pizza — just OK, not loaded with lobster, nothing special! The food was OK/not bad, but nothing I would be keen to return for.

Sad to say that I’ve ordered the corned beef reuben(one of my go to favorites and the subject of my initial rave review) on THREE separate occasions over the past year and been very disappointed: meat was tough, dried out, and on the last occasion I got the«heel» end of whatever corned beef was apparently hanging around. I’m done! That said, another family member has ordered the wings on several occasions and been quite happy.

Very cool little bar and grill. Great Pizza. You won’t leave hungry. They have happy hour from 3 – 7 with half priced clams and oysters on the half shell. The lobster mac and cheese is also very good. My only suggestion would be to add more fresh fish options and broiled haddock or scallops as something other than an appetizer.

Came here for a Saturday brunch with my family. We sat outdoor as it was a nice day. However there’s pretty much no view… you’re either looking at the parking lot or a busy road with constant passing cars. The inside is not that big, the bar pretty much takes up about 50% of the space. Service /staff experience was ok. Food was not the greatest. We had ordered the mussels, the burger and fish sandwich. Mussles were tasteless and just drenched in oil. Burger was burnt including the bun. Fish sandwich was ok, but the way it was put together made it extremely difficult to eat.

Came here with a regular purveyor of this establishment who sang its praises. While the food was okay(and wasn’t up to their normal standards according to the regular), the service was quite awful. We sat on the deck while it was about ¾ full but once we placed our initial drink order, the service disappeared until the check arrived. The epitome of the service had to be when we had to ask an adjacent table to use their condiments while the manager was having a conversation with said table. All in all, the food was okay but definitely not worth the abysmal service. I might try it again but would definitely sample the indoor service the next time around.

Stopped in for a quick dinner. Had the fish tacos from the specials menu. Loaded with plenty of fish, cabbage, and a tasty chipotle sauce. Came with a side of fries too. Service was quick and pleasant. They have outdoor seating that looks inviting but there’d be a wait, since we were in a hurry we sat inside. The inside lacks central A/C, they compensate for it with floor A/C units, not quite as efficient but it worked out ok. Parking can be a problem. We found the last space available since a car left just as we were coming in. The bar easily takes up at least half of the inside space and was very crowded, a couple people deep around it. Explains the issue with parking though.

This has to be the absolute best lobster roll I have had in CT and trust me, I’ve had them all. I usually don’t review places, only when it truly blows my mind and this, this certainly did. The lobster was incredibly fresh and moist. I got it on there home made bread, just loaded, LOADED, with lobster. I highly recommend you give this little place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Went there today sat outside. Music playing outside was cool. MyBF and I ordered the blackened sea scallops and the Clams Casino pie. I must say. Both were Reaaly really good. The service was friendly though we’d a liked another beer, but was forgotten about –maybe the downfall of being outside instead of inside.

This place is pretty awesome. I came across Off The Hook with some friends while looking for a late lunch after checking out the Two Roads Brewery. I’m glad we picked it. Entering the parking lot, it’s like you’ve suddenly jumped the state line and arrived at a cozy seafood restaurant in Cape Cod. The waitresses were very nice and we were seated immediately. Again, it was an off time, so we may have had a different experience than other people. To me, it was casual with a relaxed atmosphere. One of my friends got the lobster roll, which she enjoyed, and my other friend was craving a hot dog, and got a platter with fries. I got the seafood platter and truly enjoyed the assortment on my plate. Complete with a pickle and some coleslaw, my meal hit the spot. I wasn’t able to finish my food, since it was a large portion, though that was fine with me, for the price. There was just enough fries, calamari, scallops, shrimp, and deliciously prepared white fish to take home with me. Our waitress volunteered to split our check for us and we made a note to come back if we happened to be in the area again. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

Nice family time! We decided to try some this place based some reviews we read. The weather was great so outside seating was a must. We ordered a round of drinks to start and then took out time looking at the menu. My Long Island iced tea was delicious. The wifey ordered a tequila sunrise, that had to be sent back but was quickly replaced with a better option. We ultimately decided to enjoy our drinks and a couple of appetizers. We ordered the mild chicken wings and the blackened sea scallops. The wings were crunchy and tasty. I wasn’t crazy about their blue cheese so I asked for some ranch instead. The scallops were DELICIOUS! They were served over a bed of greens with a balsamic glaze. I almost licked the plate. This location is small but cozy. There was some background reggae music playing. Our waitress was awesome. She was quick and very knowledgeable. We will try this place again.
