After a long day of snowboarding, nothing soothes more than some sugar and drinks… The best way to do it is with some waffles and energy drinks. Waffle Cabin offers two types of waffles: — Belgian Sugar waffle: $ 4.25 — Waffle with chocolate: $ 5.25 The waffles were freshly made and hot off the waffle iron. I tried both waffles and they were crispy, hot, sweet, and had an even texture. The drinks it serves are: hot tea, energy drink, water, hot chocolate, apple cider, and others. Once I finished my meal, I felt all my energy coming back and ready to tackle the trails again. I felt revitalized and full of energy! Waffle Cabin accepts Cash only.

The primary reason why I wanted to go to Vermont– I suck at snowboarding. But dammit! I worked my body hard falling down every inch of those green trails and dammit! I deserved that chocolate covered waffle! A MUST if you’re ever on the slopes. Delicious even without the chocolate covered topping. They have these sugar crystals infused within the dough that make them lip-smackin good. Tip: Cash only.

Aahhh, the sweet smell of waffles at the mountain! This makes a great treat after snowboarding or skiing on the slopes. There’s a location at most of Vermont’s Ski Resorts, even some in NJ, PA, MA, and in Colorado… though nothing beats the Vermont Waffle Cabin. Their waffles are amazing, crisp, yet soft, sweet, and taste great without toppings. These are Belgian style waffles, not eggo. I have to say Stratton has great options for food!

Gooey, sweet waffles for lunch? Hell yes! Waffle cabin is so perfectly placed at the bottom of the mountain. I met up with friends mid day to catch up and have a snack. Let me tell you, I was swooning on my skis while devouring some waffle goodness. They were so sweet and didn’t even need toppings, even if they certainly didn’t hurt. As someone that’s been to Belgium and eaten the street waffles I can tell you they come close to their delicious flemish counterparts. The coffee was pretty terrible and I probably should have opted for the hot chocolate or cider instead. Oh, well. I think the owners of waffle cabin have a remunerative business model of small selection of quality treats(minus the coffee) and must be making a metric crapton of money. $ 4 for a warm waffle and a giant smile — I’d say it’s worth it.

nothing like a great waffle with warm chocolate right off the slops! i love it and ever since i saw it i am always on the look for resorts that have those little gems next to the lifts. in Stratton they also have baked empenadas cabins next to the waffles! no need even to get off your board in order to get a refill. love it!

Waffle Cabin, I love you. Extra thumbs up for having a chocolatey(and not watered-down) hot chocolate! Sharon L.‘s review was quite spot on. Get a waffle!

I’ve seen these waffles stands out in Utah at another ski resort, but wasn’t expecting to see on here. It’s a CASH only spot, so make sure to bring cash! They serve beverages and mainly Belgian sugar waffles with either chocolate drizzle or plain. The waffles are thick and dense, with a hint of sweetness, unless you add the chocolate drizzle to your order. They have little chunks of sugar crunch immersed here and there in the batter, so don’t be surprised if you bite into a small sugary surprise. They are not as good as Belgian Liege waffles, but probably healthier in that they’re not as greasy as Liege waffles. Enjoyable for just about anyone, and a nice snack after some time on the slopes!

Waffle Cabin is a chain of food stands that is native to the major Vermont ski areas– I’ve seen them at Okemo, Stratton, Mount Snow & Killington. They sell an assortment of hot beverages such as apple cider, hot chocolate and coffee which is always welcome after a long day of skiing/snowboarding. The main attraction, however, is their fresh waffles, hot off the waffle iron. Waffles are $ 4 and $ 5 with a drizzle of chocolate. Waffle Cabin makes their waffles with a dough containing bits of crystallized sugar rather than a batter. This is similar to Belgian Liege waffles. The waffles have a crispy, sugary exterior but I find that they have an even chewier texture. The hot, melted milk chocolate drizzle pairs well with the crispy & chewy waffles. Lines can be long at all times of the day but that just means that the turnaround is quick and often! That means the waffles are always hot and fresh and well worth the wait. Tip: CASH only!
