We hired Trudi as our dog walker and she was amazing. At our initial interview you could tell she really loves dogs, she knows what she’s doing, and she has great rates! It put me at such ease to know Trudi was coming over to walk our dog several times a week. I also love how she leaves daily reports of her time together with your dog – so thorough!

My husband and I adopted two terrier mix puppies after losing our dog of 14 years to bone cancer. We quickly realized that we had our hands full and that this experience would be unlike any we had ever had! These pups are high energy and came from a shelter with an unknown background. Dixon was the reserved dog, shying away from us and only showing interest in his brother, Mason. We couldn’t get a handle on how to walk them, how to potty train them, how to socialize them, or how to keep our house from being destroyed. My husband found Trudy and she came to our home for a consultation. First impression she had — they sure were cute. Second impression — they sure were a handful, but trainable! So, off we went. This week they graduated from basic obedience class and what a difference it has made. We plan to move on to intermediate training and probably even advanced training! Golden Companion Dog Training worked for us. All four of us are happier and more confident in our abilities.

Trudi is the best. She really knows her stuff and she’s constantly working at learning new things that make her a better trainer. We had some annoying and scary behavior problems with out dog, I looked online and found Golden Companion Dog Training. We immediately agreed on an 8-​week series of sessions to help us get control of our dog. In the end, it was a lot easier to walk him on the leash in a relaxed manner, and we are a lot happier with a more relaxed dog and have gotten rid of the behaviors that would have forced us to give him up. I needed to find a private trainer for my new rescued dog and came across Golden Companion. When I rescued my dog she was very frightened of my children and I was scared I made the wrong choice in rescuing a dog. After getting turned away from a different group dog trainer after he said my «dog was too aggressive and would need private training» I called Golden Companion and shared my concerns with the trainer.
The trainer came right out to my house and evaluated our situation and gave us hope that our dog was trainable even if she was 3-​years-​old.
The trainer was very patient, knowledgeable, and caring to our dog. She really knows how to work with dogs and to have her come to my home for the training made it very convenient for me which is another plus.
We would have had a disaster without the professional training we received from Golden Companion. Our dog is now a wonderful family pet and the positive reinforcement training has helped her to enjoy children when they are near her. She is a much more confident dog.
