Have been ordering lunch from here for some time now. Love their food. Both workers are friendly.

This is a great little corner store(ok, it’s not actually on a corner) that has a selection of unique groceries and a large menu of Mediterranean foods. We had the baba gannouj, kibbe balls, spanakopita, falafel pita, lamb shawarma pita, and baklava. Everything was delicious, but my favorite was the lamb shawarma, because the lamb had really good flavor(probably because it was marinating on the rotisserie all day) and the pita was super soft and warm. I would also recommend getting yourself a piece of baklava – it was fresh and light(read: not sickeningly sweet) compared to other baklava I’ve had.

Transplanting from Brooklyn, where we were spoiled with a surfeit of Mediterranean restaurants, I resigned myself to forgetting about good Middle Eastern food, and certainly wasn’t expecting good Med Grill. The food here is very fresh, tasty, authentic, and great quality. Some of the best falafel, spanokopita. hummus, babaghanough(nice ‘n smokey) anywhere. Freshly homemade pita to wrap sandwhches(yes!). Great baklava! The owner is a friendly, nice guy(also originally from Bklyn). So happy Cedars is in the ‘burg. We will be regulars.

I’m addicted to the Souvlaki with chicken here. I don’t have any friends that complain about a menu item — whether it be the greek salad or a gyro. The food is FLAVORFUL. The service is great. The owner is amazing. He treats you like family and is very caring and easy to talk to.

One of the best places in Stroudsbug to eat. Simon and his wife are wonderful people and they put love into their food. My go to’s are the shawarma pita, greek salad, and the spanakopita. When they have it the Moussaka is fantastic, best I have had. It is a great place for takeout, but they do have a few tables for dining in.

Oh so good! Authentic. Fresh. Homemade. Combo platter portions are big so you may want to share. Then again, it’s so delicious that you just might want to eat it all yourself.

There are only three tables which can seat 4, 4 and 2. The food is real good and the prices are very reasonable. Not a fancy looking place; however, great bang for the buck! Everything we had tasted great: chicken shish kabob, humus and falafels.

Think of what one $ means to you on Unilocal.A great deal? A quick bite? Fast and easy? How about great service and small town charm with big world taste? Well, that’s what this 4.5 star 1-$ listing on Unilocal got us today. That and more. We got there just in time before the big rush, which in this 10 seat café means a lot. We ordered a falafel platter(with grape leave wraps and eggplant salad), a gyro with spanakopita on the side and a veggie wrap. Each one — for three very different palates — was fantastic. Powerful flavors, expertly cooked meat and falafel, warm, soft pita. Salivating about it, and I actually ate it 7 hours ago. The owner/manager/grand pooba at the counter was genuine, kind and helpful.(He even — after I raved about it — told me the recipe for his eggplant salad!) We got a full meal for 3(with drinks) for $ 27. This is a gem, and on our new route from Philly to upstate NY, so we’ll be stopping here again. Thanks Cedars!

Everything is delicious. From the gyro to the shawarma. Love the spinach roll, salad and mixed grill. Kids enjoy the kebobs. Great service. Seating is limited.

Gyros served on tortillas? Do they know what pita bread is. I’m from New York and have had practically every style if gyro. First of all gyro is not served with lettuce. OK many places do it. But when I’m handed a gyro with red onions and lettuce and a tzatziki sauce that is sub par and over salted gyro meat, I have to call it out. On top of being served on a thin tortilla like flat bread instead of a slightly thick non pocket pita. If the gyros are not good I’m not likely to try anything else. I know there is more to Mediterranean food than a gyro but it seems like it I’d catering to the Poconos rather than being authentic or New York

I really like Cedars because it’s something different than all the other corporate chain restaurants that are in the area(that I am so sick of) and it is real homemade cooked food. Everything looked and smelled amazing. I got the combo plate chk shish kabobs with rice and my sides were grape leaves and baba Gannouj and My boyfriend had the lamb gyro. So So Good! And the portion sizes we’re just right! There wasn’t a huge amount of food, just enough to make you full and satisfied. I loved the baba Gannouj and the pita bread, it tasted amazing. You could just tell they take pride in what they serve to their customers. Great place and I highly suggest everyone try!

I only write reviews when I’m very satisfied with a certain place. This place deserves 6 out of 5 stars. The food is very delicious and very authentic. The owner and his staff are very kind and welcoming. The prices are great! This place will definitely make you come back. (Try the falafel)

The falafel pita was exactly what I expected. Great find as I passed through Stroudsburg on a business trip. Reasonably priced and authentic. I recommend it.

If I could eat here everyday I would. I love this place. It has the best all around value while being as healthy as possible. When ever I eat here I am completely satisfied. Simon and his wife are a great team and I am always pleased with their joyfulness and cuisine.

I’m Lebanese and this place was the closest to my mom’s cooking as it gets. We were in Pocono Pines and took a trip to Stroudsburg to see what was going on — to our surprise we saw Cedars and couldn’t believe there was a Lebanese restaurant tucked in this small town. I ordered the veggie combo — hummus, beet salad, and grape leaves. All delicious. My mom and sister got the falafel which they loved. The tabbouli was so flavorful and delicious. They also give you tons of pita bread. Only two tables to eat in, but definitely worth-while to either sit or take-out. Definitely authentic — the owner and his wife make everything! Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Their gyros are good, but not great. It’s really not workable for eat-in… this is a takeout place with a couple of tables. That’s it. We weren’t prepared for this and spent our wait time looking for a park to eat at. Given the quality and ambiance, their food was definitely overpriced.
