My experience with D R’s Framing was a bit of a disaster. Initially, I thought everything was going to be just fine. I went in with a large signed print and wanted to have it double-matted/framed. The quote I got was about $ 500, which I thought was fair (in NYC, you can get similar framing quotes for $ 250-$ 700). After dropping the artwork off I received a phone call two days later saying that their estimate was incorrect and it would be $ 950. SAY WHAT??? The best part? They had already «started» the work (so they said).
Long story short, they did a great job with the actual framing, but if I knew it was going to be $ 950 I would have taken it somewhere else. Also, when I brought this up, the owner/manager had a serious attitude problem.
