Every cake made a work of art, and a labor of love. Beautiful made to order specialty cakes, no order to great or small with attention paid to the most intricate details requested. A small store front with amazing talent. A must for your special occasions!

This is an impromptu review, I’ll be adding to it as I find the pictures I have from different events. Over the course of the last few years, I’ve had a few different cakes from Patty Cake. This company is a very small, gourmet style bakery that handles anything from small orders that are simple quick and easy… to VERY ornate, detailed, custom built cakes of practically any flavor, design, and style. Keep in mind when I say SMALL business here… I mean small. Everything from consultation to baking to delivery is done in person by the owners, who I’ve met on more then a few occassions now. Off the top of my head, the best I’ve had from Patty Cake was a VERY ornate cake for a friends birthday. The cake was designed to be sized big enough so that almost half of the people in the club where the party was held got a pretty decent sized piece, and being as it was a birthday cake for the DJ… it was done in details to look like Technik turntables… and the entire cake, from appearence to taste… was meticulously done and tasted great… and sometimes a lot of orders with Fondit(candy shell)…can look much better then they taste, however, the work from Patty Cake on ANY instance where I’ve had some… has always stood out way above most store front small bakeries, and was definitely better then any grocery store bakery. Over the years, since I have multiple times suggested this business to others, I’ve taken part in the ordering process a few times now. Keeping in mind that this is, as I said, a very small operation… and given that the owner, Corinn, is VERY detail oriented, and puts her all into her creations… you of course want to be as detail oriented and specific as possible when placing your order… for the best results, you want to make sure you give ample time and details to get the best results. From what I understand the minimum time you want to give is 3 days. Being that this is a small business in an area that is very detail oriented, I would suggest making arrangements with Corinn, or her partner Tony, to get a consultation with them to go over the fine details, get pricing estimates, and if possible, give them some time to make a presentation to show you before baking to make sure it meets up to what you want. The bakery like I said handles stuff from very small«I want this size and want it to say this or that» for a small family gathering… ranging to very detailed work for a large party, event, or wedding. If you get a consultation, which frankly, you should always do for any baked order for a special event… one of the marks of a quality bakery handling special events is the amount of time the baker is willing to put into the details. Having done a few consultations with them now, I can say that Corinn is definitely amazing with the small details on things that I wouldn’t even notice. The consultations are not free… however, the consultation goes beyond just discussing details. The $ for the consultation goes towards the finished product, gives you options to sample all their options, and makes sure you get everything covered from flavor, to appearence, to delivery. In every instance I’ve had their work, the texture and flavor of the cake itself has always been great and top quality… and the attention to the details in appearence, from basic writing, to the different frosting and. or fondit… down to stuff like having edible images covering a small spot… up to the entire size of the sheet… has always been great to perfect, and having delt w orders with other bakeries over the years, and knowing other bakers… stuff like edible images is no easy task for a small business as the equiptment needed is severely expensive… however, they have always nailed it… that being said, being a small business for something like an edible image, it takes cooperation with a larger bakery with the equiptment to get these images done right. The amount of custom work Corinn adds to her work, and the extent of direct time put into the planning, its clear she is passionate about what she is doing to try to give you the best product and experience possible… that being the case, in the long run, putting down the $ and time to keep in touch, give her the time needed and all is well worth it… and anybody who deals with event organizing and what not should know that if you want a high quality cake… paying ahead for supplies working with a small, gourmet boutique style bakery, and putting in the time to meet with the baker and try what they have to offer and make sure they have as much information and input from the customer to make sure you get the best results is standard, and all finished work is DELIVERED to you. If you are looking for a highly detailed baker who goes out of her way to give you the best, this is the place for you.

We hired this bakery to create my grandmothers 100th birthday cake – it was the BEST decision. The cakes were delicious, moist and decorated EXACTLY as we asked. We had the number 1(chocolate frosting on yellow cake) then 2 other«zero» cakes – one was vanilla on white with ganash filling – the other we said«surprise us” – it wound up being chocolate cake with mint filling YUM!!! They did these AWSOME cakes with only 2 weeks notice — if you need something tasting great – looking spectacular – and created perfectly – call this place! It is not out of business(this cake was delivered on 7-7-2012)

Amazing quality for all their pastries! Their cheese Danishes hands down are some of the best around. I highly recommend this place! The prices are very fair, and the owners really enjoy making these fantastic baked good.

Don’t let the compact size of the shop dissuade, great things come in small packages. I stopped here on the way back to NYC amazed to find a friendly baking team with delicious authentic baked goods(ANDCOFFEE!!!) for me to salivate over. Their prices are perfect and the food is all made from scratch. Skip the chain wanna be, pre-made garbage elsewhere and see Patty for the good stuff. It was great to learn that this young couple is so passionate about their craft and the tradition of authentic bakeries are safe for yet another day. MMMMMM!

I was driving back from NYC with my family and my wife and I needed some coffee as we passed the Delaware Water Gap. We typed in coffee into my iPhone and realized there were a few places nearby. Funny thing is, we never found the place we were looking for, but we drove by Patty Cake Bakery, saw a coffee sign, and stopped since we like to patronize local establishments. My wife went in first and told me about the conversation she had with the wonderful baker/owner. He said they had been open only three days. My wife bough a cheese/broccoli loaf of bread that was perfect– crunch on the outside, soft on the inside and full of flavor. She asked about his speciality and he immediately said«cheese danish.» Knowing that’s one of my favorite pastries, she bought one and brought back a sample of his peanut butter cookies(another one of my favorites). I took a taste of the sample and ran back inside to buy a few more cookies. I was surprised a how inexpensive they were for such quality. I, too, had a very nice conversation with the owner. It’s clear that he loves what he does! Now, here is where I’m kicking myself– I waited until we got home(over 3 hours away) before I tried the cheese danish. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this was the best cheese danish I’ve ever had in my life. It was a transcendent experience– perfect buttery danish crush and well-balanced(not too sweet, not too tart) cheese filling that filled every edge of the pastry so as to not leave you with a pastry-sans-cheese bite. The melted sugar that had found its way to the underside of the danish had heated just to the point of caramelization. I’m pretty sure that I can’t wait until the next time I go to NYC to have another. I’m going to call him tomorrow to see if he’d be willing to overnight be a dozen of his cheese pastries. Wish me luck.
