Sitting outside was lovely, the view outstanding. The fish tacos and sushi tasty, but cleanliness of plates and silverware disgusting. We had to send back plates and silverware, which were still dirty. This is a huge turn off! The waiter was friendly, but service was slow. When you are paying these higher prices, you would think dishes would be cleared away and water glasses kept filled. The bathrooms were also in need of care, not clean and had paper all over the floor. The manager came to table, but didn’t seem overly bothered about the complaints of the dirty utensils, just said she would talk to the kitchen. Overall, beautiful view, ok food, prices high, but in need of some Improvements if they want people to come back.

Wednesday lunch with wife. Sat outside. Beautiful day with a beautiful view! Very attentive service. Great food! Wife had mussels and the homemade hummus. Awesome! I had the Ahi Tuna Stack, which was delicious. Impressed with our servers passion for their food choices. We will definitely be back to visit!

Best atmosphere for drinking on the river. A must go and must see in the area… not much into the dinners but it’s great for the appetizers and drinks.

I called for a reservation was told no more are taken till after 8pm .I asked the woman on the phone if the outside table designed as a boat was taken she said no and advised me if it was available on arrival we could have it. So we arrived a party of nine with five children that were looking forward to the boat table so the kids could feed the catfish and it was empty. The young woman from the phone tried to seat us in the boat table but manager Tony refused. Tony never looked up from the computer and repeated three times obviously annoyed an explanation of «if I seat nine outside I won’t be able to sit nine inside» unhappy with a reason that bewildered us all we sat inside. By the time dinner was served the children were upset to see that two separate groups of adults were seated in the boat that according to Tony could not be used ! So needless to say my dinner four adults and five kids that cost almost 300 dollars with tip will be spent in the restaurant across the street that has quality food and certainly better customer service Spoto’s Food: overpriced without quality my grouper was just OK for 33 dollars. Drinks: Five drink specials cost 50 dollars the only thing special was the cost: This is a pub atmosphere with prices of an upscale restaurant don’t waste your time or money

«Great place to eat in old downtown Stuart… You must ask for Angie! She is the BEST!!» I stopped in with my family to The Stuart Boathouse, and quite by happy accident stumbled onto a wonderful service experience! The food was delicious, very good portions for the value, and our server Angie was the BEST! She was SO warm, friendly, and accommodating. Angie knew how to anticipate our needs and even took care of my family while she had a very busy section. But you wouldn’t know she was busy as she kept her cool and dealt with some VERY challenging guests with the utmost professionalism. We were so impressed. For the management at The Stuart Boathouse: PLEASE recognize Angie for her wonderful service. We would come back and eat there just because of Angie. What an asset to the company! I like to recognize great service, and I will make sure to recommend anyone to visit this restaurant when they are in the area. Thank you, Angie! We will return!

A bit disappointed. Great view, ok food, overpriced. Could be so much more based on the location. Staff was friendly however food quality and price do not match.

Literally stumbled upon this restaurant while in Stuart for a wedding and made a long weekend of it. Stopped in with friends and sat at bar waiting 30 min for a table of 4. Fun LARGE drinks $ 9.95 yummy! Sat to eat and honestly it’s a bit eclectic for my taste, and for what was served, a bit pricey in my opinion. A $ 15 tiny crabcake with some kale, $ 4 side of truffle fries… I would do appys and cocktails there with the best water views before I would do dinner there ever again as it was $ 180 for 4 and I was still hungry when we got home.

I can only figure that this place is wildly inconsistent. It’s on the water, which is a big plus, and it’s not horrible, which is unusual, so why so many bad reviews? I’ve had excellent service both times. Some of the food is great(the Mac and cheese is $ 4) some is ok, and almost all of it is expensive. Which is ok. This is Florida. And it is on the water. The fact that it’s not horrible gets it an extra star. High prices lose it one.

I don’t know why there are any bad reviews of this restaurant. We ate lunch here yesterday and everything was great from the drinks to the food and service. The mojito was one of the best in the area not too sweet and not to tart, had fresh raspberries in it. My husbands and sisters margaritas were also great and large. We had a fish sandwich, crab sandwich and fish tacos and all were great, cooked perfectly, fresh fish and plenty to eat. Their fries are really good and so is the coleslaw. John was our server and he was really good. Came by enough to see if we needed anything and our drinks and food were brought out in a timely manner. He asked if we wanted more drinks(went to avocatos in West Palm beach a couple days ago and was never asked if we wanted a second drink, mojitos sucked there too). John asked if we needed anything, how everything was. He was a great server. I watched other servers and they seemed attentive also. I would recommend, has a great view, food and atmosphere.

Completely perplexed by any bad reviews this place has received, I love it and have never had a bad experience! This bar and restaurant opened less than a year ago and has proven itself as one of my go-to spots in downtown Stuart, especially when I have company in town and want to show them the spectacular view. Their drink menu is extensive with plenty of tasty, quirky specialty cocktails. They also have an extensive food menu with everything ranging from veggies and hummus to snack on at the bar, or gorgeous entrees to eat at a sit down meal, with plenty of daily specials. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating and typically have live music on the weekends which provides a marvelous atmosphere. The staff is attentive, energetic and quick on their feet and the facilities are very clean. I’ll be back, without a doubt.

Good location and view in downtown Stuart. Don’t waste your money! I’ve had two bad meals in two tries in the past 6 months. This place was good when first opened but has tanked since then Salad with grilled chicken. And the chicken is microwaved or bad meat. Old ! Very disappointed. I go across the street to sailors return. Never had a bad meal. Good view.

The view can’t be beat. That’s the best part of the experience. Food is mediocre(crab cake and ahi stack) Service the same. Run of the mill cocktail and beer menu. 3 stars is suffice b

Where to start… was walking by the Boathouse one day with my wife and checked out the menu. It looked nice… atmosphere looked nice. We had friends coming from out of town in a few weeks we thought we would take them here… Well friends arrive want to take us out its their last night of a very short trip. So we bring them to the Boat House. Food was absolutely horrible! They did give me a fair amount of snapper and I wish they hadn’t… I felt bad because our friends were paying the bill and this place isn’t cheap. So, I ate as much as I could suffering through every bite of this horrendous meal. I didn’t want be ungrateful and complained about my meal to my friends or not eat it, but I couldn’t… I left a pile of food on my plate and left in disgust… What a waiste of money this place is. Don’t waste your time or money here…

Had lunch there Saturday. got there at 11. three other tables were seated… so they weren’t slammed… service was VERYSLOW. the waitress took our order but then it was like we were forgotten… appetizer of Carpaccio should not take over 20 mins to come out… we got our other dishes about 25 mins after the appetizer. food was not worth what they charge. We ordered:(food only, had water to drink) Carpaccio: not the traditional dish… filet with arugula and a olive oil and lemon drizzled on top. and like 3 pieces of grated parmesan… menu said it had fried capers and when I asked the waitress she said oh they must have forgotten i will go get them…6 minutes later she comes back with them. I understand that everyone wants to put their own spin on things but some things are just wrong… you need the briny flavor of the capers to cut some of the fat and give the dish that salt that it needs… the fried capers dont taste like capers at all… and the fact that they are fried just adds more oil in your mouth… also doesn’t come with any toast $ 14 Crabby Crab Cake: It was filled with lots of crab(mine did not have any lumps just back fin meat) and not much filler which is hard to find, needs some seasoning… very bland… citrus aioli under the crab cake was good… served on a wooden plank… which is odd since it had a very small kale salad(just kale) on the side with dressing that was just soaking into the board.again.their spin… but some dishes need a plate $ 15 Cuban Sandwich: was a sandwich. fries were better than the sandwich… not special enough to warrant the $ 16 price tag Total bill for lunch…$ 47…and we were there over an hour…

I only happened to hit the Stuart Boathouse because my favorite of this location in Stuart, Riverwalk Café & Oyster Bar, is closed on Sundays. Though I believe the food offerings at Riverwalk Café & Oyster Bar are clearly the superior, the Stuart Boathouse has a lot of otherwise redeeming values about it. First off, being located right at the very end of the street on the banks of the Intracoastal it has the best of waterfront views. It’s also located right next to the Stuart Riverwalk’s band and entertainment stage section. The casual ambiance is great as is its nautical Key Westy like interior décor and the service I had, thank you Olivia, was outstandingly some of the best ever. For my meal I went for their blackboard Sunday brunch special being a shrimp salad wrap along with their«Bottomless Mimosas.» My shrimp salad wrap proved to be exceptionally good, perfectly seasoned with salad portions fresh and crisp to the bite, but more so because of the shrimp ingredient. The shrimp weren’t the ordinary kind common to most such wraps, but were of jumbo size, not chopped up, but left whole, intact and possessed of a super fresh flavor. My mimosas, which I requested to be heavy on the champagne and light on the orange juice, came precisely that way. With the good food, pleasant ambiance, pleasing décor, good waterfront views and exceptional service, I’m a Four Star fan.

5 stars today My BFF& I decided to have lunch on the water today. We both opted for the Crab Roll. It was better than I anticipated. Being from Maryland I love my blue crabs. The roll was stuffed with big chunks of backfin crabmeat. Delicious! Nice side of homemade kettle chips. Perfect afternoon lunch on the water with a great view.

A definite Meh. Nothing wrong per se, but the food was pretty bland overall — I think they’re catering towards the lowest common denominator with safe flavors. It’s certainly in a nice location by the water, and you’re going to pay for this in your food prices… but I just don’t think the food warrants it. I probably won’t be going back.
