This place is an A+, the steak salad is unreal due to the great steak quality. The pastries are perfect and service is good. Better than Beverly Hills location and larger menu

Got one of their GF donuts which was pretty great for those with a sweet tooth, but their coffee was way to expensive for what it was. I get black coffee always because I love the taste of coffee. This literally tasted like bad water. If I wasn’t in a hurry I would have asked for my money back. I guess you win some and lose some. I won’t be returning

I was at the shopping center and came here for lunch on a weekend. I loved their Thai salad it was ‘AMAZING’ honestly best salad I ever had, it is heavenly. Their ice tea wasn’t that great but the Thai salad is to die for. Try the salad :)

In hopes of breaking out of my routine and finding a new breakfast joint on a Sunday afternoon, I ordered the omelette with whole eggs and a side of real bacon. First impressions walking in were not great, with the cafeteria stark vibe. Baked goods lined up in a glass case on the counter looked interesting, but I didn’t go there. Counter service was warm and friendly. I was handed a number and found a seat outside along Ventura Blvd. Food arrived fairly quickly, but was small and mediocre at best. A pet peeve for me is rotting lettuce bits in mixed baby greens. They fulfilled that peeve. Overall a disappointment for this guy looking to treat himself to a nice brunch out. Won’t be back. For reference I’ve been satisfied by the likes of Bea Beas, Aroma, Alcove, Heirloom, Patty’s & Vivian’s. To each their own. In this neighborhood I probably would have been happier at the overpriced Art’s Deli or Jerry’s. Oh well.

Oatmeal wasn’t special. Was not«seasoned» and did not have flavor or sweetness… Cold brewed iced coffee was good! I recommend.

I had the eggs Benedict. My bacon was slightly chewy but it was still really good. I went 15 minutes after opening in the morning and I’m glad I did. It was nice and quiet. I will definitely go again.

Came here for Sunday breakfast with my friend around 9:30. The place wasn’t packed at all which was nice. Parking is easy to find on the streets or in the back lot area. We both ordered the eggs benedict and ham with vanilla latte. We paid up at the cashier than gave us a number and sat down. My bill was about $ 19. It’s somewhat pricey in my opinion bc it’s only 2 egg benedict with a salad on the side. I’ve been to places where they add potatoes and other veggies for the same price. The waitress came by with our lattes and then our food came out few minutes later. Eggs benedict was flavorful. The ham gave it an extra taste. I just love the juice that comes out from half cooked eggs. The English muffin was chewy too. Salad was alright, nothing special. Just lettuce and dressing. Next time I’d love to try other stuff on the menu when I’m back in town again.

The coffee is the absolute worst and most expensive I’ve ever had. Vanilla latte that taste like plain coffee with milk. I’ve given this place three tries and it struck out every single time. Sad to say but Starbucks is better and cheaper. Food is OK. Steak sandwich was really tough. Portions are small.

Love the organic healthy feel good meals! So good and good for you! Amazing portions and great taste! The salads are my favorite! These arnt regular boring salads there amazing, filling and healthy. They even look beautiful!!! My two favorites are the Thai crunch and the arugula! I love me some arugula!!! Only thing a bit out of reach is the price! $ 13 for a salad is a little over priced But it’s worth it once in a while!!! And guys it’s not just lettuce on a plate with dressing these salads can probably feed 2!

ORGANICALLYORGASMIC! What does Comoncy mean? Well, Comoncy defines it as, coming together and sharing; an oneness that we all possess amidst the colorful personalities that make us all unique. 2014, Comoncy opened their doors to offer a place for diverse individualities to gather, flourish, and enjoy something we all have in common: A desire for good food, good coffee, and good company. Well, two out of three isn’t bad. I’d like to substitute good coffee with good conversation, with a side of cheeky remarks. A friend and I found ourselves here one late morning, couldn’t pass up the opportunity to park curbside without the annoyance of having to feed the meter. The beaming rays of sun and the orange glow of the interior paint and wall hangings give this quaint eatery a spacious, yet warm and cozy feeling. Locally sourced fresh veggies incased and on display at the front counter, for their on-site, handmade dishes at the counter, along with their custom-built 3rd wave coffee gadgetry for brewing locally roasted coffee. Colorful chalkboard menu positioned high above for all to see. ORDERED: Egg Bowl– Organic egg whites, organic quinoa, organic spinach, chicken breast, brown rice, shallot, homemade salsa and an orange juice. Eggs Benedict– Organic poached eggs, turkey bacon, English muffin, homemade hollandaise sauce, local organic greens and an Arnold Palmer. Outside are several tables, a few shaded by an umbrellas, others basking in the warm SoCal sun. After ordering and paying for our food, we took our beverages and assigned number to an outside table and sipped on our drinks as we waited for our meals, which didn’t take long at all. Friend said the OJ taste like was freshly squeezed. I tasted it and it was smooth, not bitter. Very good. The Arnold Palmer was refreshing and not too sweet. A near perfect ratio of tea and L’ade. The drizzled dressing on the local organic greens was a nice compliment. Sadly, I was a bit disappointed with my main course choice. Sure, the eggs were perfectly poached, the English muffin was toasted enough to hold the weight of the egg as I ate it with my hands, and the sauce was not too rich, but very creamy and was far from tasting like a dollop of mayo and scoop of Dijon mustard. What disappointed me was the amount of saltiness the turkey bacon had. I don’t cook with, nor add salt to anything, so take this observation with a grain of salt. Friend thought the Egg Bowl had a good mix of flavors. Then I tried it. OHMYFREAKIN’ GOODNESS!!! I seriously needed a private moment, but there was no place for me to go, we were curbside and close proximity to other patrons, not to mention passers-by. All I could do to keep my eyes from rolling back and my hands from traveling north and south was recite gymnastics gold medalists. I did not want to give the bowl back to my friend. Such a simple dish, yet the taste buds that were having this organic orgasm screamed… IT’S COMPLICATED! GIMME20MINUTES, ALONETIME! Yes, this is the valley, yes, traffreak runs just about 24/7, yes, and parking is horrific, but Comoncy resides above sub terrain parking and 90 minutes are free with validation, staff are all that and a bulb of garlic(Kind, courteous, and helpful), and you just may enjoy their food as we did. And if you’re a coffee drinker, bonus for you. Hop on the 3rd wave and grab a cup.

Today was our first visit to Comoncy. The food, which(let’s be honest) is really most important, was pretty good. We did feel that the quantity of food on the plates was definitely too small to satisfy a grown man. Luckily we had ordered the French toast to split in addition to our main dishes. French toast: very lightly battered. Not a heavy dish. Nice vanilla flavoring with a teeny tiny hint of fresh copped mint. It’s super subtle. Don’t let it throw you. Studio City omelette: great flavor. On the savory side. The mashed avocado isn’t guacamole so don’t expect it to be. A little salty but I like that. Very lite dish. If you’re HUNGRY, augment your order with something more. Eggs Benedict: pretty straightforward. The Hollandaise sauce was on point and that makes or breaks an eggs Benedict; so, well done. I feel like the dining area is a bit sterile. The tables could benefit from a small vase with a flower or something. Since you grab the utensils at the counter, the completely bare tables are a bit off putting. Also the dining area needed some attention; chairs scattered about, not neatly married to their respective tables. The area where you grab chips next to the cooler was a minor disaster. When the interior is so minimal, when what is there is out of sorts, it really sticks out. Perhaps the negatives are«nitpicky», however they did detract from my overall first impression. *shrug*

I went here for a quick breakfast with my friend. Situated along Ventura Blvd in Studio City, this place has a very good location for you can shop after or before eating here since boutiques are abundant in this area. We were lucky because it wasn’t busy when we arrived around 9:30 am. I would not recommend this place for groups 8 and above for it’s harder to find a seat. Interior is very geek-y but cute. This place is not a sit down, but service was fast when we were there. They serve breakfast and lunch the whole day. I ordered Eggs in any style, which is basically eggs, turkey bacon, some greens with baguette. Their turkey bacon reminds me of Black Forest ham from whole foods; super yummy! My friend ordered French toast, which I find interesting because they used yogurt instead of whipped cream and topped with berries. Coffee is superb! I ordered Vanilla lattè and it’s come thing I would order again and again. On top of that, they make cute lattè art on the drinks if they can. With their coffee, you can just tell that this place uses very good coffee beans. This is a must try!

I just visited Comoncy today in Studio City, and the food was so good. I ordered their Chicken Panini which was so fresh, and tasty. I could easily tell that they not only care about their customers, but as well as there quality of good. From their customer service to there delicious food, Comoncy is a place you should definitely eat at. There Chicken Panini is the way to go! I will definitely be back!

Tiny all day breakfast spot in Studio City. Comoncy is the kid sister of The Coral Tree Café. Simple fast breakfast after my walk along the LA River in the Valley. Nice to find that it opens at 7:00am. This place is more of a coffee bar meets quick café in comparison to Coral Tree Café, a neighborhood gem that is very warm and cozy. I got the impression that Comoncy was a full bakery with a large selection of items; however, it was not the case when I arrived. It’s more of a place for a quick bite to eat and drink. Sort of reminds me of a convenience store with upgraded coffee espresso drinks. It’s not a warm and cozy neighborhood dining spot only because of how sterile it felt inside. My café au lait was a bit weak, not robust and strong. The rectangular egg in the Egg Tartine dish I ordered tasted good, but looked weird… reminded me of school cafeteria breakfast. LMFAO. The gluten free toast and strawberry jam was great. The Marble Cake Muffin was the best of them all. Hard to find a really good fresh, made from scratch muffin in the Valley and I can now say Comoncy is a good place for tasty muffins. This place would be perfect at a Metro stop like at 7th& Figueroa in Downtown Los Angeles where it would be convenient to get something to fast to eat and drink on the way to work. It’s not the type of place that fits in as a neighborhood dining spot in my humble opinion. Credit cards accepted and 90 minutes free parking with validation.

Hmm. the Mac n cheese was good… The tuna salad was dry and bland and it said that there was no mayo(what even??). The salad it was sitting on was overdressed and not that flavorful to me. The atmosphere was very cold and not really comfy. I don’t really see myself coming back in the future.

A couple friends and I were looking for a place to go for lunch on a Sunday, but we didn’t want a crowd or a wait. We called Comoncy and they had no wait — which kind of made us hesitant to go, because, why would a good place not have a wait on a Sunday? Well, after going, I have no idea why it wasn’t packed. Had the huevos rancheros, which were delicious, and reasonably portioned(read: small). The food tasted very healthy, and my almond milk chai latte was the best chai latte I can remember having. The staff were all so friendly and seemed to be happy we were there. We stayed to have a couple pastries after our meal, which were also delicious.

I love Coral Tree Café, so I was very excited to try Comoncy Café. I placed a large lunch order for about 15 people. Not only was the restaurant very accommodating to our order, they had everything packaged & ready to go at the exact time I picked up. I know this may not seem like a big deal, but as someone who orders out a lot for the office, it is. I ordered the Bedford Salad and added a scoop of Tuna Salad. The Tuna was amazing, made without mayonaise, which I greatly appreciated. A healthy alternative :) Would highly recommend, can’t wait to go back and try the coffee!

I was a bit skeptical when Comoncy joined the Studio City eatery lineup a couple of years back. However a very pleasant SURPRISE developed… Comoncy is not just another expensive trendy eatery. In fact, the prices are competitive and in my opinion this is the BESTCOFFEE in town… even more amazing than the various high end coffee spots… inc the one that rhymes with«Eeets» up the block) The bright orange delivery bike shines like a happy ray of sun on the outside patio beckoning one in. The Menu is breakfast, salads & sandwiches with a few dinner entrees. The food is extraordinary… for example my Nicoise salad had surprise veggies such as roasted sweet potatoes alongside the expected haricot verts etc. The tuna was ahi perfectly seared. I also sampled the steak salad last week. Equally wonderful. Their vinaigrette dressing is non pareil. !!! I tried a chocolate croissant with my cappuccino(who’s foam was artfully crafted into a panda bear image)…yesterday. It was just the right size and a very French tasting croissant. The waiters & staff are lovely. I feel like I am welcomed and each menu choice is lovingly crafted just for me of really fresh & tasty ingredients. I will be back. I anxiously await one of my friends taking the hint that I would LOVE a Comoncy gift certificate for any Birthday or Holiday gift. Hint… hint

I came for breakfast with a friend after a nice hike last weekend and was blown away by the amazing food and super friendly service. Talk about first impressions! I actually found out about them from all those«animal latte» pictures on Instragram, so that’s what drew me in. I proceeded to order said animal lattes(lol) but unfortunately the barista who does those was off that day — what luck! — but we received some very delicious vanilla lattes to accompany our breakfast of huevos rancheros and baguette French toast. These plates are perfectly portioned. The huevos rancheros consisted of blue corn tortillas topped with some veggies, organic eggs and a side salad of mixed greens. The French toast were slices of baguette bread topped with strawberries, blueberries, shreds of basil and dollops of Greek yogurt with a side of syrup. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The staff was very friendly the entire time from order and throughout our meal, checking on us to ensure we were enjoying our meal — which we definitely were!

Wait, what. Comoncy has been on my list of places to check out for longer than I should admit, so I finally committed to it and I am so glad I did. Look, spending $ 34 on breakfast for me and my husband is not my faaaaavorite thing to do, BUT, when they deliver on pretty much everything, I really don’t mind having spent the money. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. I could cut through the bread which is my first test. At many places, you need a steak knife to get through it. The turkey bacon was great, the sauce was good(could have been tastier). Overall, very happy. My husband ordered the Egg-celent Sandwich. I took one bite and was convinced. There is a hint of lemon in it(I think). This was a well thought out sandwich, and again, my husband mentioned how soft the bread was. There is hardly anything worse than eating a sandwich and spending your meal using your neck muscles to tear a bite off, like I’m a great white shark or a rabid dog. The service was so friendly and not fake and people seemed genuinely happy to work there. They have the best Iced Mocha I’ve ever tasted. I don’t like iced mocha’s, but they are a staple for my husband. There are tiny little bits of chocolate in it, so it feels a tiny bit chunky, but not chunky like… there’s potatoes in my coffee, but chunky like… oh there’s more! Their almond milk latte was perfect. Usually almond milk separates and makes for a very odd cup of coffee, but this was made to perfection. It was so smooth. I loved it. And the latte art was killer. Parking was a pain, but worth it in the end. The esthetic isn’t quite cohesive. From the outside, they got the nice font and strong color choice, but you walk up and they have red chairs. The inside is copper tables with light wood chairs with red framing. So not quite, but I’m going to wear my I don’t care pants on this one and say the food and service make it worth it.

This place has changed so many times that I gave up checking it out, but this morning I was taking my boyfriend to work and it was sunshine after the rain so I thought it would be a good place to sit and have a cup of tea. I loved the tea and so I decided to top it with a studio city omelette which had spinach, feta and avocado. It was delicious. I usually don’t order omelettes because it’s too much food so I appreciated that it was only slightly bigger than a serving and accompanied with greens. Perfect serving. A tad too much feta(it can be so salty) but otherwise a great breakfast in a cute corner.

Common that’s become my go to place for all café needs! Love this place! You can’t find a better cup of coffee — or better parties — anywhere in the valley. And their menu is healthy, unique and delicious if you decide to go that route. I seriously have tried half of the items on the menu and have never been disappointed, and It seems the taste of their menu has only improved over time. Serious kudos to the chef and the team in the kitchen. As a general rule, I don’t comment on service unless there’s something extraordinary to discuss. After all, it’s the food we’re after, right? But Comoncy has gone above and beyond in their customer service at every turn. If my review sounds like glowing praise, it’s because this place deserves it: Well priced. GREAT food and coffee. Excellent service. Can’t ask for more than that!

Came here for a tasting, and was extremely impressed at the food I tried! Comoncy’s original location is in Beverly Hills, and they opened one up here in Studio City. The interior is super cute with a white and orange theme, and there’s even a roll of butcher paper where you can draw on the wall. We started out with the burrata toast with fruits which was a fantastic start to our meal. After that, I had the Frisee & Lardon salad which consisted of Frisee, organic poached egg, apple smoked bacon, peppers, onions, apple cider vinaigrette, and garlic bread gremolata. I’m typically not a big fan of salads, but this one was amazing! The egg was perfectly poached using an sous vide machine at 63 degrees celsius, and the combination made for the perfect salad. The thai salad with chicken, napa cabbage, peanuts, carrot, peppers, and ginger was next, and it was another solid salad that I really enjoyed. For entrees, I had the mac and cheese with orecchiette pasta, aged cheddar, parmesan, pepper jack, and garlic bread crumbs. This was my favorite dish of the night as the sauce was nice and creamy and I love orecchiette pasta. This and the Frisee & Lardon is a must order for me! Next up– the organic skuna bay salmon with quinoa, spinach, and greek yogurt tzatziki. The salmon was very tender and soft, and tasted delicious. I love how they paired the tzatziki sauce with the fish as it added a nice creamy touch to the dish. With the quinoa and spinach, this dish is a great healthy option! Last but not least– the prime sirloin culotte with fries and black garlic butter. This was the highlight of the meal as the meat was so juicy and tender! The fries were also delicious, but I was so full at this point I couldn’t eat any more. We also got the comoncy french toast on a french baguette(makes total sense haha). With greek yogurta nd berries, this dish was a great finish to our meal. I couldn’t believe how much I ate this night, but I enjoyed every single bit of the meal! Chef Joseph Gillard really puts a lot of thought and effort in his food, and it shows. I’m surprised I’ve never heard of this restaurant, but I was super satisfied with my meal. Totally coming back here again during my lunch break!

Had a meeting on Ventura Blvd in Studio City and have Never explored this area, so I decided to get a coffee. Ventura Blvd has all the usual suspects: Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Peets. Wanted something different so I roamed Ventura and found this place via Unilocal. It was empty and I ordered a cappuccino and a Fiji water. Server worked quickly and handed my the cappuccino. When I asked for the water, I hadn’t noticed that the refrigerator of drinks was behind me. He stepped from behind the counter to get my water for me. Cool. The cappuccino? It was average. I think Peet’s is better. BUT haven’t tasted the food.

Yay, another coffee shop addition to Ventura Blvd. I’m a sucker for any shop that has coffee, pastries and food. Their official grand opening is Thursday, 6÷25÷15, however I’ve been here twice during their soft opening. //Egg-cellent Sandwich: dear lord, this has to be one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. did someone say scallion aoli?! //Cold Brew: yes and yes. I’m a cold brew aficionado and can’t rave enough about this stuff. not sure what roaster they use, but it’s damn tasty. //Pastries: I’ve tried their Morning Bun and Kougin Aman, both have made me so happy and pair perfectly with their cold brew. Parking? They have an underground parking lot as well as metered street parking. Staff? Super friendly and helpful. Seating? Lots of indoor and outdoor seating — It’s always a plus when a venue is pooch friendly! Please stop by here next time you’re in the area, you won’t be disappointed. I look forward to trying out a variety of their menu options!
