The Dirty Chai is the best out of all the chains, and this location in particular is great because there are TONS of places to sit and TONS of outlets.

Great coffee, great service, great atmosphere. Mostly neighborhood regulars, and the staff remembers the orders. It’s like Cheers for coffee!

Solely leaving this 5 star review for Lou. Handled the long line quickly, yet every customer that left after ordering with him was happy and satisfied. I never felt rushed, and he still made the time to joke around and make sure my experience was a pleasant one. Lou is awesome!

This place has been my jam for a little over a year now. I love that I can be in line and have Jett or Ashley or Madeline make eye contact and already have my drink ready by the time I’m done paying. The good vibes between the employees and customers is always fun to watch and be a part of early in the morning, couldn’t ask for a better way to start the day. I always tip because I work for tips and I get it. Baristas have to work fast and work with people who haven’t had their caffeine so I know it’s not always easy. I’m pretty damn easy, I wake up happy! I’ve had two issues with the same employee and the second time her behavior was pretty inappropriate and I hope management will reach out and correct this because it’s been a week without my favorite spot and it sucks! The overweight blonde barista is the only person here who has made my drink wrong. I’ve never been visibly or even internally upset, I’ve put together wrong orders at work too. I can’t even describe the level of no big deal it is to me. I was nice the first time she remade a drink for me, even giving them a second tip because she went out of her way and it seemed like she was having a rough one. The second time she made my drink wrong I couldn’t chalk it up to having a bad day. She clearly got upset with me personally at not just the task at hand, scolding me then the girl working the register, raised her voice and rolled her eyes which really embarrassed me. She was being so ridiculous another customer said something to the effect of «make the drink already Jesus.» It seemed like she was too concerned with whose fault this was. I would expect this type of drama from a teenager not an adult woman. Then she tried auctioning off the drink because she«couldn’t throw it away». No one wants it but she doesn’t stop trying. Made a couple more drinks for people in line after me. Started chatting it up with a regular, and just short of fifteen minutes later she slams my drink down and let’s me know it’s «probably wrong again» because she was«distracted». I asked if she was serious and she pours some vanilla syrup in a cup for me to mix because she«really can’t be sure what drink she made». At this point I had tipped 110% because they broke a large bill for me when I was rung up and it took a lot not to be petty and snatch it out of their jar. What the f*** is up with that blonde lady?!

No line, so I stood behind a guy who was having an in-depth personal conversation with the barista at the register. Finally wrapped up his dramatic story and as he walked away, the barista walked away from the register. Guess he wasn’t interested in serving me? Second time in here, same lousy service. Went to Starbucks across he street and was served quickly and with a smile.

Very nice location, not many people, many tables available, good customer service, only with parking some problems, not many parking spaces available, only paid parking.

I had some time to kill, so stopped into Peet’s. SO great. 1. Great music! 2. Really good coffee. Way way way better than Starbucks! 3. Amazingly nice employee. 4. Clean bathrooms 5. Sometimes they have Unilocal!check in deals. I got $ 1 off my drink! I ordered my pumpkin chai(super good, btw) and disappeared to the bathroom for about 8 minutes to change my clothes. When I came back the super nice and friendly employee said, «Oh, there you are. Your drink might be cold. If it is, I’ll make you a new one.» It was still pipping hot, but really? It’s my own fault for disappearing. So great! Love Peet’s!

Just a big shout-out to Jason at your Studio City store! I drink Peet’s almost 7 days a week at home. Your customer service is always good but Jason goes beyond that! Thanks!

I have been coming to this Peet’s location since it opened and I usually have a great experience. However, the last time I was there, I ordered two types of coffee — Sulawesi and French roast — beans to be ground, and I wasn’t notified that NEITHER variety was available until AFTER I had paid and was waiting for my order to be filled, and with barely an apology — the woman was more concerned about yakking about her recent trip to New York.

The Super-Short Version… I just walked out — didn’t even have the patience to be there for another minute to get a refund. The Quick Version… Burnt coffee, anyone? Welcome to McDonalds at $ 4 a cup. And how many times do I have to say that a cappuccino is a coffee drink with milk and not a milk drink with coffee? I was in love with Peets while living in San Francisco, but this is a travesty. Shut this place down and never go back. *****UPDATEADDEDWITHIN5DAYS***** (The Long Version) Shortly after my unfortunate visit, I was contacted — here on Unilocal — by a corporate Peets representative, asking me to email her at their public Customer Service email address. I did — the same day. She didn’t respond; awesome already! Then another Peets employee — from this specific Peets store — emailed me(since they now have my address), now asking me to email him to set up a time for a chat. Really? Chat about what? Even Starbucks will offer you a free drink coupon before they ask you to invest time in speaking with them about your experience. But these guys are above it: they get paid for«chatting»(and in this case for making cheesy coffee), but you, ladies and gents, are expected to just«chat» with them for fun — for kicks — because you are a philanthropist and have nothing better to do. Well, I personally don’t do that. However, I do type about 90 words a minute, and so, below is a copy of my response to this self-proclaimed and supposedly caring Peets employee(I’m not providing his name so it doesn’t look like I am here to ruin his career)… *****Do you think someone responded?! Fat chance.***** . OK, here you go – my email to Peets, or the long version of my one-star review(since Peets insisted): «I ordered a cappuccino. The barista announced a latte when my drink was made. I asked if this was in fact a latte, and the barista said he «actually» made a cappuccino but apologized for announcing the drink incorrectly. This didn’t sound kosher, especially since I saw how much milk went into the cup; plus, the cup was in fact on the heavy side(I have been buying cappuccinos at Peets in San Francisco for years); the psychology of a barista who is making a cappuccino while thinking about a latte is not a mystery — this results in cappuccinos with more milk in — I’d say — 99% of the time. Beyond that, the coffee in the drink was simply burnt — blatantly, gruesomely burnt, like Starbucks does it half of the time when the person making the drink doesn’t know left from right. End of the story. Three strikes in one day: wrong drink, lying to a customer, and burnt coffee. And obviously, at least one of these problems was not caused by the barista. Hence my perception of the bad experience was not an accident but part of a pattern. When did this happen? Five minutes before I typed the review on Unilocal.… All this said, you got what you wanted. I think Peets deserves to hear it. Will I get a free coffee coupon out of this? You tell me. Do I plan to drive to this particular store to be treated like a king for a cup of four-dollar Joe? Not a chance. When will I go to Peets next time? In a week or two, when I am in San Francisco. Cheers -« *****once again, do you think someone responded?! Fat chance. No one cares! Let’s toast to Peets — the new American Starbucks!!!*****

I hadn’t been to this Peet’s Coffee & Tea in about a year due to a hectic schedule. Today, while running errands nearby I stopped in for a quick snack. The hibiscus berry herbal iced tea was delicious. Naturally sweet — no sugar added. The lentil salad in a take-out container was flavorful, even though I noticed the«enjoy by» date was yesterday. It had feta cheese with chopped onions and slivered carrots in a light vinaigrette dressing. I would order it again. Free underground parking during a hot day is always appreciated. The staff were courteous and answered my question about the tea infusion beverages. Note to their staff — please check your products’ expiration dates. Thank you.

Five stars for the coffee but this location loses points for their lack of parking and the crowd. Get ready to wait in a long line for coffee no matter what time of day. But that is expected for such a prime location. I usually just get the brewed coffee and a pastry. Today we had the banana bread and it was pretty tasty. The service is always great, warm and welcoming :-)

Didn’t love my blended mocha here. Such a cute store, nice staff, great menu, maybe they were just having an off day? The wait was kind of long and I was in a rush so I took and left, I really should have given it back, it was just not great. I’ll have to give them another chance sometime, but for now, Coffee Bean is still my favorite place to grab an ice blended.

I am a Peets fanatic and love anything Peets, but this store needs an upgrade. Come for the coffee, but don’t expect a working wifi. The wifi is horrendous — it constantly disconnects and when you are connected, it is painfully slow. The staff are very courteous, quick, and always willing to help. There is plenty of parking which helps too. Store Manager, if you are reading this, please fix your wifi!

After years of only ever enjoying the most delightful experiences at this great location in Studio City. I had on not great experience and their team of Champions was at the helm immediately to fix the issue at hand. They asked me to return. Offering me a few free drinks. I did return, unannounced for a business meeting with a client. I paid happily with my very own cash and received excellent service. We conducted our business and were happily on our way. Glad I came back. This place is a Studio City Staple! ***** Service **** Ice Tea Quality

Awesome service here. The employees here are very welcoming. Although not my favorite(cough cough-ahm Coffee Bean) it is still delish! :p I like how the coffee here tastes like what it’s advertised as. The coconut or hazelnut drink tastes just like it states. Fast, quick and friendly service. What’s there not to love? Oh-the prices. A bit too much, but some days it’s worth treating yourself. :)

As I write this review, I realize I really should come to Peet’s more! It’s a good alternative to Starbucks or Coffee Bean, but still a chain. I think the reason they can compete is their baked goods are top-notch(I used to get a bear claw EVERY day from Peet’s) and their frozen drinks are yummy without reeking of sugar or syrup. I feel like they’ve been more accepting for longer of dietary restrictions and milk substitutions here than the other two main coffee places, but maybe that’s just my vibe. I feel like this store stays busy but not crowded. Tip: they have really good iced tea flavors sometimes! I like to combine the seasonal hibiscus and lime. It’s just reassuring to know that I can still get my caffeine fix from something iced and sweet as well.
