Omg so good! My mouth is still watering! All you can eat is totally worth it if you are a big group and plan to eat a lot. Came here for my bday and was extremely satisfied! Quick service in such a packed restaurant! Will be coming back for more!

Best sushi around for ayce. Service is great, no long waits, and the sushi quality is so great

As a loyal customer of Midori for many years I will no longer return to this place. Quality of the fish has declined drastically over the years and considering it to be AYCE I don’t expect the greatest. However the last time there was beyond terrible. Salmon and tuna sushi smelled and tasted like old fish that had been sitting out for the longest time. On top of it the rolls were covered in alot of sauce and sriracha to mask the smell and taste. After mentioning this to the waiters and management(who by the way know my boyfriend and I are regulars there at least once a week) took the food away and handed a check for $ 50. What?! We hadn’t touched a single thing on the table and the owner found this whole thing to be very funny. She doesn’t know a single thing about customer service and we truly did not appreciate all the explanation for why the fish tastes bad on that day. After refusing to pay a single penny we left and will never return to this place. There are so many better places on ventura with better quality fish. Don’t waste your money here!

Stopped in tonight with a friend who was visiting from out of town. I love the AYCE here, it’s always fresh and delicious. Tonight was the best of many visits because of our server Mario. This guy gets it. It being the delivering great service and hospitality. He was very personable and fun too. It always feels satisfying to bring a friend to a place you love and see them have inexperience that far exceeds their expectations.

Been coming here for years for all you can eat sushi. The sushi is always some quality stuff! I love that there is no limits to how many you can get of anything. I love that there is variety, and I recommend trying ALL of the appetizers. Yes I said ALL! I feel weird reading about the«time limit» because not once has my family ever been told that our time is almost up or we only have X number of minutes left. I feel like the real trick to getting the bang to your buck is to order everything you can in the first round and DONT be shy. We order the crunch, house, dragon, BSCR and max rolls with 15 orders of salmon sushi plus the calamari, edamame, beef teriyaki and miso soup for appetizers. I don’t know about you guys… But we come here to GRUB!!! It really helps to order a hefty amount in the first round cause it does take time to make and some come at different times anyway so you won’t feel overwhelmed. It also helps avoid running out of time and not getting to eat enough. If you came to casually socialize and have a light or fast lunch, I recommend getting the regular menu and not choosing the all-you-can-eat option. Lunch price for AYCE is such a steal in my opinion. For $ 22.50,(weekdays) you can eat as much sushi as your body can take. That’s just the cost of 2 mere sushi rolls at any nice sushi place like kabuki. Drinks not included though. There are premium special items that may cost additional $ 1 – 3 to the AYCE price such as yellowtail collar. Never had a problem with service. It does get busy sometimes and there’s usually only 1 – 2 servers. Another reason why you should order more at one time. They are really good about taking your trash and removing empty plates, don’t take it personally. As for parking, I recommend parking Ventura blvd! It does get busy sometimes but I think it’s worth looking for street parking and using the meter.

Excellent menu! Our sushi chef was extremely talented and made sure my date and I had everything we needed at all times. We did the all you can eat for lunch time. It was quick and easy and we are stuffed!!! Highly recommended

Well then. That was fun! This place has a great AYCE selections with hand rolls, nigiri, and specialty rolls. We really ensured we got our money’s worth by starting with 4 $ 12 – 15 specialty rolls. We also ordered spicy tuna and white fish nigiri, hand rolls, gyoza, and salads. The waitress was a little shocked when we were full, as I think we only ordered about $ 50 worth of food per person — still a great deal but we just couldn’t eat anymore. I think you would have to come here without any food in your body and extremely high to really get your money’s worth. The table next to us had 2 full trays of nigiri, and it was a young couple. Just crazy how much people were eating. It is a good deal, but I would only do this deal with a group of 4 or more people. That way you can try more variety of rolls and food.

I had high hopes walking in, but I walked out disappointed. Dinner is $ 30/person, and on the back of the menu, it says you are given a 1 hour limit for ayce? It wasn’t strictly enforced when I was there, but I would be really hangry if they did! Service was excellent and food came out fast. The portions were HUGE, mostly from the BIG wads of rice. I don’t remember the roll I ordered(salmon, tuna, and escalore combo), but it was an indistinguishable mess drenched in ponzu sauce and topped with bonita flakes. I immediately returned the roll menu afterwards. The nigiri was hit or miss. The salmon was ok, but the tuna was a slimy and had a brown color. My favorite was the unagi! They let you have 1 order of the salmon roe, spanish mackerel, and the uni. They got our order wrong a couple of times, and brought out surf clams instead of the uni. Since you can only have 1 order, I made sure to let the waiter know so I wasn’t getting gypped. The uni was really slimy, and honestly, I got tired of the food real quick because of all the slime. The limited menu didn’t help me regain my appetite either. Despite all the slimy and mushy fish, the one thing that I actually couldn’t finish was the tamago. It was sickly sweet… like eating buttercream frosting straight. Also, the edamames were dry… and why is a bowl of rice an item in the menu? The experience didn’t live up to the $ 30 price tag + tax + tip + parking.

For an AYCE sushi place it’s not bad in terms of quality and variety but the service is a bit lacking and constantly creeping on you to get out. There’s a time limit on how long you stay for AYCE which is understandable because surely someone somewhere out there has abused the system to an absurd amount. Which I find both horrifying and somewhat medically fascinating at the same time that someone can eat enough discount raw fish to cause such a mandate. But anyway the sushi and sashimi for the most part at Midori is fair. Nothing out of the ordinary but definitely not as bland and uninspired as some AYCE places that churn out rolls and fish like some sort of seafood sweatshop trying to appease their hungry oppressors. Man thing that was kind of annoying is the time limit like I said. I went with a party of three and I totally understand just like any place you want us in and out and pay in a timely manner. I say this because when I went it felt like every other second we were reminded that we had X amount of time left and constantly trying to take plates away were were still working on or asking us to order more. It just seemed a bit much hinging on a tad bit pushy and rude. I definitely believe in treating the staff nicely and politely at a restaurant so I could understand you doing this to say a rude or bossy customer as a not so subtle nod to GTFO but they seemed not only to do this to our table but pretty much all tables that ordered AYCE. The restaurant isn’t completely AYCE btw, you can order normally if you like as well. Point is this practice just kind of makes you feel pressured or hurry so they can give your seat to someone else. Furthermore we were no were close to reaching our time limit either nor was AYCE serving time close to wrapping up so it just seemed a bit unneeded. For my money and time I would rather go to Sushi by Jin honestly. A chiller environment, equal if not better quality, and a bit cheaper. But I could see myself going back to Midori in the future just my expectations would be substantially lower.

We were trying to find a place that was just as good as Sakana in Vegas and this came pretty close! When we got here it was hard to find parking but then realized there was valet. $ 3 with validation and $ 6 without validation. Valet was right in front of the restaurant. We got inside and didn’t even have to wait for a table for 2. We came on a Saturday at around 6:30pm. We recommend that you figure out what you want to order before coming because they do have a one hour limit for the all you can eat option. That was probably the only thing we didn’t like about this place but other than that the food was delicious. We first ordered 3 rolls and we got them in about 5 – 10 minutes. They were so delicious! They’re almost full rolls, but we still had room for more so we ordered 4 more rolls, plus the bugolgi as an appetizer. The rolls that we ordered were as follows: 2 Baby rolls, 1 volcano roll, 1 Vegas roll, 1BSC, 1 house roll, 1 baked salmon roll. The Baby roll was the best one! We were able to finish it all before the hour and still had room for dessert so we got the mango sorbet. Keep in mind my boyfriend and I have a big appetite lol. Overall, we felt satisfied and were happy that we got our money’s worth. Friendly service and although it was a bit chilly in there, it was a warm environment. 10⁄10 recommend!

Came to midori before and didn’t like it that much, but came back because a friend wanted to come. Outcome? I have decided that it was definitely not worth the drive, even if it’s only a 15 – 20 minute drive from home. Paid about $ 40 for ayce dinner + tax + decent tip. First of all, where do I park. street parking is hard to find(it’s on Ventura) and valet is $ 6… forget it. Secondly, no sushi list for ayce? That’s inconvenient. Thirdly, it’s ayce so I don’t expect the greatest quality of fish. But you have to get the sushi rice right, or the whole experience is horrible! Even if the fish quality is superb, if the rice is disgusting, the nigiri is disgusting. I’ll be honest and say that it definitely was NOT the worst sushi experience of my life(I’ve had way worse) but I recommend going elsewhere!

Unfortunately, the first time I came here the food was so much better. I went here last week with my girlfriends, and the first round of food was actually good. However, everything else went downhill from there. The sushi nigiri did not taste fresh, the fried appetizers were oily and lacked flavor, some of the rolls had a weird aftertaste. I rather go to Sushi by Jin where the sushi is fresh, and you don’t have to pay valet for parking. On top of that they have a 1 hr time limit for AYCE.

Service: A+ All their waitresses were super attentive. We sat in the far back corner but they would come around every so often, constantly asking us if we wanted to order more Quality: Decent for AYCE. Some nigiri were great(albacore, eskolar), others were a bit fishy(spanish aji) and the uni just didn’t have uni flavor. But what can you expect from a AYCE. Rice had good balance of vinegar and sugar but was a bit warm. Nigiri had the same amount of rice as typical nigiri but wasnt packed very well. Overall for 28.95 — you really can’t beat the shear abundance that you can indulge in Large sake $ 8.95 tasted a bit watered down Happy hour Monday to Friday 3−7pm $ 2 Beer and $ 4 Sake

Disgusting!!! This is the first time I complain at a restaurant. The restaurant is over ran by flies. During our less than an hour visit, we killed 3 flies that was next to the window. They were flying around the kitchen and on the chef. We told the owner and waitress but they were not very concern. After we complained, the owner offered 20% off. Sushi was not fresh at all. Squid sushi was sticky. Sea urchin had no flavor and had a darker orange color. Eel was over cooked so much that they were dark and hard. All together, we were disgusted. How can a restaurant have so many flies? And how can you sell raw fish when they are not fresh? This is beyond unacceptable.

All-you-can-eat sushi on a Saturday afternoon? Here it is cause apparently a lot of Japanese restaurants like to be closed on a Saturday afternoon. This place hits the average, standard sushi joint, nothing particularly special that stands out. I find this place to be more on the pricey side, but maybe that’s just Studio City. Why did I roll with it? I was craving it and my friend was craving it BAD. When you look at the huge menu, you see a giant selection of sushi rolls. I say just go with ordering the sushi roll and 1 or 2 appetizers. You really can’t go wrong with a lot of the battered tempura and fried sushi roll(like the Lakers Roll). So good. What I didn’t like was the seared tuna I ordered. Just didn’t hit the sear mark to me and it was awkward cause it was like eating raw and well done together. And I wasn’t a big fan of the salmon skin roll. I like salmon but just the skin was just smelly and not as fatty and delicious as I thought it would be. Finished off with green tea ice cream and left pretty satisfied and full! Waitress was kind and friendly. Ordered a bunch of stuff and brought everything out in a timely manner with no mistakes!

No more ONO. Midori got rid of the ONO and replaced it with the Escolar. Read up on the Escolar fish before you order it. Other than that, Midori sushi has their awesome service and delicious AYCESUSHI. I usually go for lunch…$ 22.00. Find your own metered parking spot or pay a $ 6 valet service charge. Wow $ 6. Crazy.

I still absolutely love this place! Midori still serves one of the largest varieties of sushi(nigiri, rolls) options for an AYCE place. Their food continues to be fresh and delicious. I love how they include premium sushi like uni, halibut, etc(one order per person) and they actually usually have it in stock, unlike other AYCE places who claim to include it in their menu but always is out of stock. Things to order(my favorites): Ono, uni, salmon, scallops, escolar, albacore, yellowtail, Unagi, fried calamari, baked mussels, jalapeño bomb, yummy crunch. Almost everything!

AYCE for $ 28.95 sounds fair if your hungry! This place is great! I just don’t understand why they charge an extra $ 1.00 for soy paper?($ 1.00 on every roll) Is soy paper that expensive? But, they don’t charge an additional fee for extra sauces or adding extra fish to any dish? This place is not my regular sushi joint. But, go here if I need to meet up with friends for dinner. This place is small and parking is a major problem. You’re lucky if you find a parking spot in the neighbor. They do have valet parking if you want to go that route. The sushi chefs are pretty friendly if your sitting in the bar area. Good Service and Fast! The taste to the sushi is very tasteful and not chewy. Place your next order ahead of time as the kitchen gets really busy and you might be waiting for a bit. I agree with Jessica Y. on the ordering part! Try the Lakers Roll!!!

Good service and fast. Good food as always. But the price has gone up. Not sure if I will be back. But if I do it’s probably I’m cravings it so bad. Sushi that is! Service was good. Tasted fresh and not yucky. The first time I had yummy crunch I was surprised. A mix of fishes which is Prob the extras and spicy mayo on top of a wonton. Good stuff. The place was not busy but as soon as we left it got pretty busy so the best time we went was 630ish. Parking was good cause we found street parking. Will I go back? Hmmmm not for that price. It has gone up the last few times.
