Great place. The guys and gals are always so nice and helpful. you dont get to pick the kind of massage you get what the class is leanring, but for the price i’ll take what i can get. it can be hiot n miss with the student, but i’d give’em a 90%

I am currently a student here; the teachers are very knowledgeable and I enjoy the curriculum. I think NHI offers the most in-​depth program in the LA area.

This school really is the best around. I am so grateful that I found this place. This specific location has amazing teachers. I was in group 56 with John and Jen (before she moved away) and then we got Hedy who was also amazing. The staff is very helpful when it comes to anything you need (my faves: Genevive and April) from housing, job hunting, resumes, externships, financial issues and aid… The program is split up in 2 segments. eastern and western modalities. I loved learning eastern, it was a huge plus. Most other schools only teach western. I assure you that you will have all the knowledge and tools you need when you leave this place (and you will feel super smart when you realize you know more than most you work with.) This is the place to go if you want to learn massage therapy. I promise!

This school has totally prepared me for the field of massage therapy. The staff and faculty are diverse and talented. They are always willing to share their knowledge and they support you all the way through the program and beyond. I could not imagine a better investment in my future.
The curriculum is well developed and the instructors employ multiple teaching styles so that everyone has the opportunity to learn. The curriculum is well balanced with both eastern and western modalities.
There teaching clinic is an awesome way to learn technique and gain confidence. If you are looking for a quality inexpensive massage $ 25 for 50 min or $ 50 for 100 mins. Great value!!!

When I decided to enter the world of massage therapy, I knew choosing the right school would be crucial to my experience. I started my research, like most, on the internet. This led me to personally visiting a few different schools in the area, NHI being one of them. After walking into the school and meeting with briefly with one of the Admissions Reps, I knew my search had ended. Janelle, the AR, was extremely friendly and helpful which put me completely at ease. I didn’t feel the over-​agressive sales pitch that I was getting at other schools who were more interested in my money rather than my desire to pursue massage. The facilities were also nice and clean whereas some other schools were simply filthy. NHI was hands down the best choice of school for me. My curriculum consisted of 720 hours of education spread over ten months. I went for 4 hours in the mornings, Monday through Friday. (Other schedules are available) At NHI you explore the various modalities of massage: Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Myo-​Fascial Release, Sports Massage, Thai, and Energy Work to name a few. In addition, Anatomy and Kinesiology classes are required to provide you with a broad base of knowledge when you graduate. My instructor and mentor Craig was an amazing teacher and all-​around wonderful human being. His spirit and approach to life was truly inspiring and reached far beyond the realm of massage. The other teachers and staff are also quite knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. The program offers an internship program, which led to my first paying massage job! Another critical element to NHI is its Student Run Massage Clinic which provides valuable experience with the paying public. Overall, NHI is a phenomenal school for massage therapy and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to enroll. If you are serious about attending massage school I highly reccommend you visit NHI!
