This is my go-to cheapy Chinese restaurant. Their lunch special is a pretty good deal. For $ 6.75, you get a drink, soup, an egg roll, rice, and a medium entrée. The food itself isn’t the best Chinese food, but the price and customer service make it worth it.

I confess: I am an imposter. I may look Chinese, but I am not a fan of authentic Chinese food. No way. I am, however, a super fan of fake Chinese food a.k.a. «Americanized» Chinese food. Oh yeah. I’d rather get a big generous scoop of chicken chow mein over chicken feet any day. Actually, just kidding on the chicken chow mein. I love rice, so I am more of a Kung Pao girl. But you get the picture. It took me two years of living in the Valley to find my new go-to Chinese restaurant. They’ve swooned me with the following: … Delivery to my front door within the promised window. CHECK! … Tasty Kung Pao chicken. CHECK! … Appropriately wrinkled but still somewhat crunchy green beans. CHECK! … Amazing Hot and Sour Soup. CHECKITYCHECKCHECK! And major bonus points for rice automatically coming with entrees — DINGDINGDING! My bell’s officially been rung. The only crime in all this is the repulsion I carried against Chinese food while pregnant. Because if I was able to eat it and knew about Rice Wok, I guarantee you my orders would have helped the owners to finance a new Ferrari by now. But for now, they shall settle for my weekly order that looks like they are feeding 4 – 5 people, but is just for little old me(leftovers FTW!). That is, until my darling baby girl grows old enough to indulge with me. So go! Order this tastiness. Your tastebuds will thank you.

This is the best wok I have since I came the United States five years ago. The price is low but the food is in high quality. Fast serve.

For the very generic name this food is not so very generic. You must try their fried cheese wontons as they are so savory and their homemade sweet and sour sauce complements it so well. We have tried the sesame chicken and thought it was really good. And to top it off, their delivery time is outstanding! Last time we ordered, our food was here within 20 minutes, which in Los Angeles is pretty exceptional.

We saw the ratings here on Unilocal and thought we’d try it. The food was great! We chose to eat family style and were pleased with generous portions. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our meal came out very quickly. We recommend the cashew chicken and sweet and sour chicken

I’ve been coming here for years but I only ever have the Shrimp or Chicken Fried Rice and I love it. Maybe one day I will venture to other things on the menu :) The people who work here are always nice & pleasant

Why I love this place. It’s always constant on getting you great food after eight years. A friend was saying how in NYC the resturants stay consistent and they don’t in LA. Like the great Chinese joint on 7th and so on. Rice Wok is pretty good at always delivering great chinese. The service is fast and always a pleasure. You can’t rally go wrong with the menu

Came here for the first time and it was pretty good. The food came out fast and the waitress was really nice. We ordered from the dinner menu which came with so much food! Really good too. The dinner menu I ordered was about $ 10. I got the spicy garlic beef which came with plenty of beef and a lot of assorted vegetables, a bowl of rice, vegetable egg roll, 2 cheese wonton, and a fried shrimp. ALLTHISFOR $ 10! GREATDEAL. The only downside to this place is that the parking is pretty bad, the location is not great, located at a pretty small strip mall with failing businesses. The inside décor is ok, but then again that’s not really what you rate a restaurant on, hence the 4 star for the good food.

Enjoyed my meal this evening-Andi Pandi truly believes each meal I have is intended for her enjoyment… let’s face it-when I place an order, my little Andi Pandi’s does count! She loved the combination fried rice(she ate all the beef, and most of the chicken). And I shared a tiny bit of the orange chicken. She loves carrots more than I do-so definitely cleared the rice dish of the carrots, while I ate the peas! This place is family oriented, the staff is awesome. Delivery time is quick and the food is always fresh. The delivery drivers are great, very polite. Thank you Rice Wok!

Zero Stars. Probably the worst General Tso Chicken I have ever had. I asked for spicy and received so much garlic that it was nearly inedible. And I like garlic! Not even sure if the cook knows what General Tso Chicken is… Greasy egg rolls. Nasty. The Mu-Shu was good once or twice but not consistent with its ingredients. Flavorless and grey. Bad Chinese food. Not good. Never again. Delivery guy was cool but that’s it. I recall this place being one of the better places around Valley Village but either new owners. New cooks? Something slipped. I won’t be ordering again.

Something happened here. The food has gone way downhill. Six months ago, takeout from here was decent. Pleasant actually. But something took a turn for the worst. The food is now just plain bad. In more descriptive terms, it was overcooked, over-sauced, sour when it wasn’t supposed to be, fishy where it didn’t have business being. It was a scary meal. We just sat there, hungry, but to scared to eat. If I could give you one suggestion regarding ordering here, it would be don’t. Run away. Run far far away.

There’s a reason people wait in line to eat here. The prices are great, the portions aren’t bad, and the food is decent. I don’t think anybody would call this place gourmet cuisine but if you’re looking for decent Chinese food and want to have lunch that includes an entrée, drink, egg roll, and soup for under $ 8 you’d be hard pressed to beat the Rice Wok. Did I mention this includes Shrimp dishes too? It does :-) I tried the Spicy Garlic Shrimp recently and am a fan of that meal. One note of caution: they water down their sweet and sour sauce. Be mindful of this before putting some of this on your egg roll.
