Craving for some awesome homemade chili to take home, went by this afternoon and Studio Sub is gone. Sorry to see you go.

It takes a lot of «work» to finish one of these sandwiches. I mean for the price that you pay and the size, i struggled trying to finish half. Good quality meat and good people. Very friendly and quick service. I will be back to try others and yes… i’m a fan.

I really enjoy this place for a great quality sandwich and soup! They use Boar’s Head products, and ½ was plenty big. Each time my experience has been great. Also, wonderful soups there! Yes, it’s not a cheap subway sandwich… you get what you pay for and it’s super good! Grab and go place! Love the owner! Wish she had a breakfast sandwich :)))

Across the street from Aroma Café on Tujunga. Order from the window and take it home or sit in the adorable back covered patio. Roast Beef — 3 stars(Large ~$ 10) Sandwich was served in a soft roll with just the meat which I didn’t mind except they were skimpy with it *boo*. The wich was big enough to share between 2 girls along with the Au jois that was given in a seperate container for dipping. Potato Salad — 4 stars More on the tangy side than the creamy side which I liked. Homemade Chilli — 4.5 stars This was the highlight of our meal. Super flavorful and chunky. I’d come back just for this. Salad — 4 stars Simple enough with nicely chopped tomatoes and cucumbers. Choice of ranch, italian or blue cheese dressing. Overall, I would come back but the fact that everything above came out to over $ 20 makes me a little worried. Specially when this was a shared meal. Oh well I guess.

This place is conveniently located to me and I love sandwiches so you’d think win-win. And I do think they make a pretty decent sandwich. Boar’s Head meats are hard to go wrong with, and the sandwich names are fun hollywoody things so that’s delightful, also they take credit cards and are open on sundays so it’s a big step up there from the panini place that was here before them. But they’re just too expensive for me to eat on a regular basis. Their prices actually went up so now you’re paying close to $ 10 for a regular sub and I just don’t think the sub is worth that much for what you’re getting. I pretty much only go now when Groupon offers me the full size sub for only $ 5. That’s a pretty good deal, but I would probably be a regular here if the same sub was around $ 7.50 or so, but there’s just too many sandwich shops in the area, plus Ralph’s deli counter isn’t far away and they also serve Boar’s Head. One thing I’ll defend them on is a lot of Unilocalers have complained that their«Avocado» is actually quacamole. Maybe it’s changed since those reviews were posted but on my sub it wasn’t quac, just avocado that had been smeared as a spread, which is pretty tasty. I normally don’t like quac personally so when I first saw it and thought that’s what it was I almost returned the sub, but looking closer it didn’t seem to have anything else in it but the mush of an avocado.

This place hit the spot for the sandwiches I had been craving. Boar’s Head meats, fresh veggie ingredients, high quality bread. Hands down the best sandwich I’ve had in months. I had«The Trilogy». Turkey, Roast Beef and Ham with provolone cheese. I should have treated it as two meals it was so large. I ordered the house Italian dressing on the side. It was good on the«test dip». It was zesty and perfect so I applied it to the entire sandwich. The non-meat ingredients were diced and applied in a way subway could never dream of. The meat combination was perfect, salted well and I got that deli taste I’ve been after for months. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They let me know mayo wasn’t standard on their subs(mayo is often a must on sandwiches for me). I won’t ever ask them for mayo again after the awesomeness of their house Italian– which is my measuring stick for quality subs. If it tastes better with dressing than mayo it’s a good f’in sub. So look to see me here in future ordering no-mayo, high-quality super subs. Next time could earn a promotion to 5-star.

Good Ol’ Groupon, that«buy me now» feature strikes again! Thankfully it allowed me to discover Studio Sub. Now the million dollar question to myself was, how did I not know about this place prior to Groupon?! It’s simply fantastic! I set my sights on «The Godfather» and boy was he a real winner! Let me just say that if you like Italian dressing on an Italian sub, ask them to add extra and go with the cherry peppers on it as well. So yummy! Great service, lovely outdoor seating, sandwiches were just delicious and who doesn’t dig an Arnold Palmer every now and again to wash it all down? Try this place and if you sit at the front tables and see an older lady either peering from the bushes, looking lost or perhaps one would think, hey maybe she’s waiting for a ride in/by the parking lot? Nope! Let me just warn you about who that is… she’d be the parking enforcement aka the owner of the parking lot. So fair warning, if you intend on parking in her lot and dare to walk to the Aroma Café, be ready to wave at the tow truck carrying a lovely vehicle you have the keys for. No joke, watch for her! She keeps the dining interesting to say the least ;)

XXL sandwiches — just my size! Super nice and friendly; pressure-free ordering and dining; free parking and a cute little covered patio! I ordered the Studio Club, with Turkey, Avocado(er, actually quacamole… see my comment below), Swiss, and Bacon. Awesome! Had some kind of chopped pickle relish that was really unique and great! The roll was really good, but not the best(see Italia Deli in Santa Monica!). Suggested improvements: 2. ========================= 1) No wi-fi?!? Such a nice outdoor patio! Would love, and I am certain many other customers… to do a little writing or work meeting, while dining. 2) The Studio Club is supposed to have avocado, but instead — it has guacamole on it. This is not the same at all to me. I prefer Avocado, which doesn’t give me onion breath!

My bf and I came here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was a great choice for lunch. Our subs were delicious. Too bad they close at 4pm and are not open on Monday’s. However the subs taste so good I am willing to work around their schedule lol.

LOVE this place. Quality meats & cheeses, soft & fresh bread. This is the only pastrami sandwich that I can eat without the guilt factor. Not greasy but super delicious. Doesn’t hurt that the owner & employees are super welcoming & friendly. Now, I’m hungry but they’re closed :(

Love it :) I’ve driven by it several times, and finally decided to try it. It had a nice, shady area where the pup and I could sit on this hot day. Stephanie at the window was lovely, and my food came out quickly. Slightly expensive($ 9 – 10), but the full sub is HUGE, so I split it between lunch and dinner. The Matinée is tuna/avocado/provolone – yummy. A little plain because it didn’t have a lot of mayo, but that’s better anyway. I would’ve preferred a lot more avocado, though. I’ll go back to try The Studio Club and their soups!

I came across Studio Sub when I was interning across the street this past summer. What a fantastic place! I ate there every single week, religiously. My favorite thing on the menu was«The Indie.» It’s a roast beef sandwich that I got with cheddar cheese. It came with a side of au jus and the horseradish that was in the sandwich was to die for. It was real, potent horseradish that left me in tears in a good way. They also have a quaint little patio in the back that’s very nice and peaceful. The owner, Stephanie, was always so nice and personable. They make you feel just like family here.

Stopped by with my Mom… Love the outdoor seating. She had the White bean Lentil Soup… not too salty(«that’s what she said»)… had bits of carrots & celery… it was warm and definitely hit the spot for her. Not exactly my style of menu… BUT— the sandwiches did look good! Especially since I live so close… I will be back for sure.

I stumbled on this little sandwhich shop over the weekend, and was pleasantly surprised that my sandwich was AWESOME!(I was also starving so this review could be a little tainted!) I got the Studio Club w/out the bacon. It was so right on time and it satisfied my appetite. I practically woofed it down. Stephanie who took my order, was a blast to converse with. She told me that they have only been open for 6 months. My hats off to you guys, keep up the great tasting subs. Also, I sampled the chili, it was to DIE for. I will definitely have to get a cup of that the next time I am in the neighborhood. I highly reccommend checking this place out if you are ever in the valley and need a quick sub. A great hidden treat in the valley.

Fresh, thoughtfully constructed, AUTHENTIC subs. Growing up on the north shore of Boston, I was spoiled by great subs from small mom-and-pop sub shops. Having lived in LA for almost 10 years, I have not been able to find one shop that compared to the literally dozens of shops in my home town alone. Until now. Studio Sub, although expensive, gets it right. They get the bread right(this is critical!). They get the deli meat right(sliced thin and loaded up tight). They get the veggies right(diced tomatoes not sliced!). They even get the«hots» right(Cherry peppers, not jalapeños!!) I have grown to accept Subway, but now I will drive the extra blocks so I don’t have to anymore. Try the Godfather and don’t forget the hots! To the owner — please hire someone to open at night and deliver!

After driving by the former home of Press Panini and seeing it’s rebranding, I was filled with anxiety. I loved Press Panini– the food was creative, tasty and high-quality, if a little expensive. I’d stopped going to Press on a regular basis in the interest of eating more healthfully, and in that time, I had apparently lost my favorite sandwich spot! I decided that I should probably investigate before calling the place a total loss, so I stopped by Studio Sub last week with my bro. As I’ve mentioned in other reviews, my brother and I basically have exact opposite taste in food– he likes boring American food, and I like textures and colors and flavors and newness and good quality ingredients. Personally, I don’t like lunch meat. it kinda weirds me out– they process the hell out of it! I’ll eat a little roast beef, because it seems like it could have come straight off the cow and looked that way. However, when I eat roast beef I like it with avocado and basically nothing else– I don’t even really need bread. So when Studio Sub turned out to be a boring Italian deli-style sandwich shop, I was bummed. They have Boar’s Head, which is great, but they don’t have a lot of options for my rather peculiar palate. My brother really liked his sandwich, but he’s more into this type of cooking than I am… We’re sitting in the back patio area eating our sandwiches, and I’m lamenting my abandonment of Press. Did the magical sandwich man go out of business because I stopped eating grilled cheese all the time? Would I ever be able to find a delicious grilled cheese like the one I liked so much at Press??? Then, out of nowhere, the man who used to make all the sandwiches when the place was Press came out of the back!!! He told me that he can still make all my favorites from Press!!! That made me feel a ton better, because I probably wouldn’t have come back otherwise. The service was really friendly, and the price isn’t bad, but I have much less interest in a roast beef sandwich than I’d have in a Press grilled cheese sandwich.

Great people, great sandwiches and great atmosphere! Went there for the first time and the owner and employees were all so friendly and welcoming. They really make you feel appreciated. Ordered the #2 which is the New Yorker and it comes with the Italian cold cuts. It was very fresh and tasty but be careful when you eat it because it’s so loaded with goodies that it overflows from the sandwich! I had to get a fork for the clean up after eating the sandwich(yes, I’m a pig!). I’m glad I did because every good sandwich shop has a unique characteristic to their sandwiches. This place has the veggies that were in the sandwich. I terminated it with more ferocity than Arnold Schwarzenegger did to the state budget! and, I’LLBEBACK! I heard the tuna was really good so I’ll have to try that on my next visit. They have a covered patio in the back which is very cozy and nice if you don’t want to sit street side. I like to sit on the sidewalk because if you’ve ever been to that little stretch of Tujunga you’ll know that everyone wants to side on the sidewalk. Studio Sub is pet friendly so bring the pooch if you want to get a bite while walking the dog. All in all, you’re going to like it if you want a hearty sub and tasty sides. Go on an empty stomach or plan on bringing half of the sandwich home for a bite later.
