I vacation in Sturbridge at least once a year and have never noticed this coffee house! I have been missing out all this time. Awesome customer service. Their large iced espresso drinks are 32 ounces! You’ve gotta ask for milk or cream, smart of them that it’s not hanging out by the condiments area. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was prepared super fast. From the eggs to the cream, all of the ingredients tasted fresh and I’m assuming are local. I had to leave or I would have hung out on their porch all day. Love the ambiance and the at home feel. Can’t wait to visit again. Doesn’t get any better than a spot like this for me.

I’m so sad to be writing this review because I really did love the coffee house but ever since it moved its just gotten worse and worse. Though the girls working the front have all been extremely kind the coffee is never consistent. Get it at three in the afternoon and you can tell it’s been sitting around all day. Sometimes there’s too much syrup in flavored coffees, sometimes you can’t taste it at all. They close at four so I haven’t spent much time hanging out there in a long time. I do like sitting in the bar stools and looking out the window but the old brown couches in the back gross me out. The bacon on egg sandwiches is always floppy. I just miss the old coffee house and it’s charm. It seemed like then it was worth paying $ 4 for a medium coffee but now it’s just not consistent enough for me.

Going to a wedding a few minutes away, so I stopped here for breakfast. Such a cute little place! Tons of yummy options for coffee, tea, and sandwiches! Warning: the large coffees are MASSIVE!

Since relocating they’ve really gone downhill. After reading some of the reviews of recent I’m also not surprised that my cream cheese tasted rancid today. It seems they’ve gotten comfortable and quality has slacked; their prices certainly haven’t though. Not sure if it’s a coincidence but I do recall the owner more often being there in the past but not so often anymore. Not to mention there is not a modicum of consistency between toasting practices, cutting, or portions. If it really is good coffee you’re looking for I must instead recommend Sturbridge Coffee Roasters. located in Southbridge they roast their own beans(!!) and truly care about the science behind flavor and coffee. Though their food isn’t as extravagant; it seems to be fresher.

Our visit was with another couple and their grand-child at one o’clock on a Friday. We were all familiar with the SCH and the various changes in location through the years. Now located near the entrance to OSV, parking for the business is around the back of the building; parking in the front is reserved for the handicapped and for 15 minute purchases. It appears that the latter is the bulk of their business. We entered and found only one table available for four(of two) that we could sit at. All the other tables were for two but most were empty. Three folks were seated at the other 4, three at the individual window seats and 4 in the back in the couch area, in the back room but there we found it not to be conducive for having a sit down meal. The one girl at the register has to make the coffees, process orders and ring up sales. She was very pleasant and friendly considering the multitasking. The sandwich board does not post prices, so we were shocked to find that the order for two bagel sandwiches with cream cheese, cucumber and egg(hold the bacon) two bags of chips, one medium coffee and one cold drink came to $ 21 and change. Our friends ordered two tuna sandwiches, one small coffee, two drinks, two chips and that came to $ 27. We all agreed that it is totally unfair to not post the prices. My partner and I recently had two sandwiches with fries, two coffees for $ 20 in Hadley. If you are searching for place to casually chat with a friend over a chai or coffee, the couch area would do you well, I guess. Somewhat dark, could be called charming and certainly an alternative to Dunkin Donuts. But if you are looking to meet friends over lunch, I would recommend either reviewing this place as the chairs and tables were cramped and cheap. The atmosphere bland. Not charming. There are better locations. It appears to us that most come here for the hot drinks and some«chill» time or to access the free wifi and work. We’ll chock this one up to being a learning experience.

So cute and delicious and everyone was friendly and lovely. My s’mores latte and egg sandwich were just perfect. I wish I lived closer so I could come back more often!

Gross! Learn good hygiene before you open a business that provides food service. You shouldn’t have to ask that the person serving your food to wash their hands. Thats what we had to do here. I’ll pray no one gets sick form this place. Also, the coffee doesn’t even taste good.

I realized this place is unsanitary when I had to take my sandwich back because there was a medical wrap in it! When I took it back I asked for a refund, they refused and said they would make me a new sandwich, once she started making it she didn’t even put gloves on, then I noticed the girl had a splint on her finger. The wrap in my sandwich came from her finger. Also the coffee is not good at all. And the owner is incredibly rude.

Not bad for a local spot, we need more places to hang out, and these guys nail it!

All I have to say about this place is that the Board of Health should go in and close it down. No washing of hands and no use of gloves while making sandwiches and bakery items. You be the judge of whether you want to go into this establishment.

…Cute welcoming place. I fully support small businesses which is why I go here. However, every time I go I get the same thing and get charged differently for a medium ice coffee(strong roast) with almond milk. Today with a coffee mug and a coupon hoping to get a cheaper coffee. Cost me $ 3.17. More then dunkins or other places in Sturbridge. if it was a latte ok– or claiming to be the best coffee in the world. No. I thought maybe it’s extra to use my own cup which is absurd Bc they don’t have to use theirs– so should be less. Second thought maybe it’s extra for almond milk. Which is not reasonable at all. I only ever drink almond milk and every time I go there it’s slightly sour I know which brand they use and I buy it myself and it only tastes like that when it’s slightly old maybe they should consider restocking more often and throwing away bottles even if they’re not empty. The coupon… for any coffee drink– I got from a Stop & Shop receipt. But was not able to use it as a cashier told me they had a new system and she didn’t know how. I’ve tried to use the same coupon before and was told the same thing. Something tells me the presence of a manager is lacking or better training should be in place. Overall my experience has been neutral the workers are always very pleasant and I usually get in Conversation with them making my visit worthwhile. Coffee is the most important part of the business though, I think they should work on improving.

Seriously one of the best egg sandwichs i have ever had. I ordered the Sanchez and if you like spicy you’re going to enjoy this. The restaurant is cozy and family friendly. For a quick breakfast on the go or a simple soup, salad, sandwich for lunch you have to check it out.

I consider myself a chai connoisseur. Especially of the powdered kind. So when I saw a big jar of chai powder with«homemade» written in swirly blue letters, I had to put it to the test. Got it with almond milk, a choice given the seal of approval by the young lady at the register. Holy mole socks. It did not disappoint. Chais have proliferated in coffee shops in cities everywhere but 9.5x out of 10, they have been weak sauce. Flavorful with just the right level of sweetness. Wish they sold it so I can take it home! In other news, this place is adorable. House style with various types of seating(couches, bar stools, standard coffee shop table/chair) for whatever your purpose. Located in a great spot w/a yard out front for sitting/laying out on a nice day. The crew is young and hipster and I’m guessing this place is someone’s community passion project(they have children’s music hour in the mornings and an «honest joe» line where you pour yourself a cup and they trust you to leave $ 2 in the jar next to the coffee pitcher). Food options looks good too, but didn’t get a chance to try. Overall, I very much dig.

One of the best coffee house/cafes in the area. The Sanchez is the MOSTDELICIOUS breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The almond joy latte is insane good. The place has a laid back hipster atmosphere(for lack of a better word) and is a great place to relax with a good cup of coffee!
