Great BBQ. I sat outside by myself at a picnic table that sat 12. The only table available. By the end of my meal, 2 families were sitting at the table with me and it felt like one big family around the dinner table. Great food and great people.

Wow, this place is fantastic! There was a bit of a line when we got there but it moved along fairly well. I got the«two meat platter»(beef brisket and pulled pork) and it came with some very good slaw, BBQ beans and corn bread. The thing about this platter is it seemed like it had 2lbs of meat! Maybe it was 1.5 but it was huge! I was starved and normally I can a lot and I had a hard time finishing it all and it was so good. The beef was tender and pretty much just fell apart and the pulled pork was nice with a little sauce on the top. The prices were nice and you get a discount with Unilocal which was nice too. If it was any closer I’d probably be going here once a week!

Best BBQ around! Food is always delicious. It’s only a disappointment if they run out of something! Because of this, the line is often very long(it’ll be worth the wait). Suggest you call ahead or order with their online app especially during peak hours. Then you can walk in, go straight to the counter, and pickup your order. As a very small restaurant with little seating, they seem to give priority to phone in/take-out orders. All their meats are delicious, but the sides are great too. Particularly love the fries, mac & cheese, and grits!

YOUDONTWINFRIENDSWITHSALAD! What can I say about this place. Best BBQ I have ever had. Everything and I mean everything was too notch. The St. Louis ribs were out of this world, pulled pork, beef rib, brisket, smoked chicken wings, cornbread, fried andouille sausage bites were all outstanding. The brisket Reuben and Mac and cheese nothing short of amazing. The showstopper tho were the cheese balls. Made with love it was Insanity in the mouth. Well priced big portions, friendly staff and the owner right in the kitchen. You can’t go wrong with this place.

Great food & quick service. The place was packed but we were served quickly. I had the brisket meal. They had just run out of the Beef ribs which is why I went there but the brisket was an awesome substitute. It’s BYOB here so plan accordingly.

Thank you, Unilocal community. Batting 1000 on reviews, to date. Hungry travelers in Massachusetts. Strangers in a strange land. Found BT’s Smokehouse on Unilocal and detoured to try what everyone is talking about. Well worth the detour(we love love love southern BBQ), this stop did not disappoint. We ordered the three meat combo to try more than one iitem. The brisket melts in your mouth. The dinosaur bone, or beef rib, was meaty, not a lot of fat, and delish. Hubby says the pulled pork was tasty. Sides are good, too. Definitely noteworthy.

On our recent Memorial Day weekend trip to Sturbridge we made it a point to stop in here after all the pictures and Unilocal reviews. Food was amazing. Corn bread and macaroni and cheese was delicious and the smoked ribs fell right off the bones. The wait was probably the worst part but it’s understandable the place was jammed packed until closing. Definitely worth our stomachs growling. The cheese balls on the other hand were probably my least favorite part of our meal. I didn’t truly enjoy them or the sauce over them. A bit too salty along with the fries. Overall great experience and wonderful food.

OK — full disclosure. I have never been to BT’s. Brian brought the show to my house. And what a show it is — a smoker full of the luckiest pork ever eaten. 15 foot chrome pipes exhaust the smoke perfectly(Brian’s design) so the neighbors you decided to not invite are jealous as hell. That’ll teach ‘em to call the cops on my parties! The end result(pulled pork & ribs) was possibly the best I’ve had in my life. Nah — make that the very best I’ve ever had. And I’m constantly in pursuit of the perfect smoked pig. Simply. The. Best.

This place makes me want to cry, but in the good way. The meat literally falls apart. You don’t need sauce, but if you want it theirs is great. They’re knowledgeable about food allergies too which is awesome, most of the sauces are safe for GF and the meat comes without sauce, just perfectly smoked. My boyfriend and I go there pretty regularly since we never get sick of it, even though it’s a bit of a drive for us. But seriously — it never gets old. I’ve had every kind of meat they offer at this point and they’re all delicious. Only frustrations are limited parking and seating(it’s a small lot and a small place), so you may end up wanting to get your food to go since there are only a few tables and the place gets packed on weekends. But in all honesty, the fact that I’ve stood in line for an hour(repeatedly no less) just to get some brisket? Yeah, it’s that good.

Best BBQ around! The fries are heavenly as are all the amazing meats! My favorites is he brisket and pulled pork. Hubs loves the ribs. Also love that it’s byob with a liquor store right next door. Seating can be tough at times but it’s worth it. They have seating rules so everyone is able to sit when they get their food, this is a plus. Not sure what I mean? Read the little signs that are on the middle bar and placed throughout the restaurant. It would be cool to have outside seating during nice weather. I haven’t been here during warmer months yet, so for all I know, they may have this. The corn bread is also very good, I’m a sucker for good corn bread… This place has it. Also, staff is very friendly and have a good sense of humor!

As I sit here eating my two meat platter with my girlfriend, all I can think of is how much I love BT’s. I come every week and sometimes even twice. Being in sales for 8 years, I am a pain in the a** when it comes to customer service. From the food to the service and down to the folks who are clearly passionate about their job, Brian is a magician. He knows how to make mean BBQ, setup an awesome environment to serve it in, hire the best people and treat them right. I love BTs and I hope you give them a try. Brian, you do an amazing Job and to the employees, you are just as amazing. Keep on killing it my friends.

Randomly tried their brisket sandwich while at BrewWoo and thought is was pretty amazing. I wanted to see if that was the beer talking and paid them a visit. The food here is unreal. It is the best BBQ I have ever had, hands down. The brisket, which you can buy loaded in a take out container, is amazing. It is so tender, so flavorful, so smokey, so good. The baby back ribs are bigger than any baby back ribs I have ever had before. The sides are not at the same level as the meat, but still good. I like the coleslaw the best, followed by the cornbread which was a little dry, and then the forgettable beans. You need to try this BBQ, it puts the rest to shame.

Oh dear lord. This place has so many reviews, I’ll just add a couple of thoughts. 1) This meat needs no sauce. To get a sampling of their product, I ordered a cup of brisket, a cup of pork, and one rib(Chris Rock would be so proud). All of it was delicious on its own. 2) I couldn’t stop smelling my fingers on the drive home. There’s no way of saying this without sounding creepy. But you know what? I don’t care. The smoke here is so sweet, and it lingers. Even after the good was gone, I got to enjoy the memory for hours. Man. I can’t even imagine what it must be like to come here during prime time. I was here at 3:30 pm on a Wednesday, and they were doing a brisk business. That’s the time to go. Enjoy it. And don’t forget to pick up some spicy carrots to help cut through the fat. Although if you’re here to drink super awesome beer, those may screw up your flavor receptors, b/c they are fiery and awesome. So proceede at your own risk.

I saw this place on several trips but had never managed to convince anyone to stop in until last Friday around 1pm. I ordered the platter with brisket and beef rib(which was an error on my part since I don’t much care for beef ribs but it was very good despite this). For sides I got potato salad and coleslaw and for the table we had fries and onion rings. My fellow attendees all got pulled pork sandwiches and brownies, the pork was good, they were less fond of the brownies, but it’s a barbecue restaurant not a bakery so I won’t hold it against them. The brisket was superb, I may go so far as to say the best I’ve had(and I have had a great deal of brisket in my time), the rib was good despite not being my personal favourite item, I didn’t care for the coleslaw(vinegar based, not for me, but if it’s your thing I’m sure it’s good) and the potato salad was also good. I loved the cornbread, the fries were perfect, the onion rings were a touch off on the ideal batter to onion ratio but good none the less. They also sell smoked salmon, beef jerky and smoked bacon which I would like to pick up when I return next, the only complaint I have is that I didn’t stop in sooner

So my first time here… after family telling my wife & I how good it is and how Gordon Ramsey loved this place we had to come. I got the 2 meats platter. Meat was great… smoked how I like it. Mac and cheese was good… I definitely wasn’t expecting white cheddar but not bad. Collard greens were good but a tad too much vinegar. Corn bread was alright. I’m definitely spoiled in this area since my wife makes really good soul food so the sides were a tad of a let down but the meats were really good enough for a 4 star rating… I got the pulled pork and bbq rib. Not to mention I picked at my wife’s beef brisket. Staff was not friendly, not rude kind of just there not very personable didn’t even look at you when speaking unless placing our order. Still not bad service but certainly not memorable.

ISTHATSMOKE I SMELL??? … Happened upon this place completely by accident en route home from a central mass playdate. I grew up in Texas and pride myself on being able to sniff out a smoke joint upwind from miles away :) I may actually have let out a giddy little squeal when I saw how weird the building and parking lot setup were… it didn’t hurt that there were people eating barbecue in the bed of a pickup truck. Honey, I’m home :) We made our way inside, plopped our hungry toddlebeast into a high chair and got comfy in a booth. I went up to the counter to place our order. A large pulled pork sandwich for the boyfriend, cup of mac & cheese for the little, plus a two-meat platter with brisket and spare ribs for me to(maybe) share. Gotta say, I stumbled a bit on the platter sides and I think I picked wrong for my taste — it threw me off to not see pintos because in Texas, where there’s brisket, there are pinto beans! In fact, the secret ingredient in my own pinto beans is brisket scraps; they just go together(seriously — try it! The next time you’re making pintos, stop by a local barbecue place and ask for a pint container of brisket scraps to dump into your bean pot). So I got bbq beans and dirty rice and didn’t love either. No one in our party liked the mac & cheese and the cornbread turned to crumbs as soon as you touched it. It’s really the sides that kept this from being five stars for me. And the bathroom, which was completely gross. The whole floor was wet and there was wet, sloppy debris puddled up all over the place. It was like a one-a.m.-at-a-frat-house bathroom and I would have been totally screwed if it were later in the season and I had been in flip flops… But you guys. THESMOKE. Oh my word, the smoke. I think next time(and there will absolutely be a lot of next times!) I’ll probably just get a pile of meat and forget trying to accompany it with anything. It is hands-down the star of the show, and with good reason. It is STELLAR! Like, really, really good. This brisket will keep me coming back again and again. Perfectly smoky and tender. The smoke on the spare ribs was good enough to warrant another shot, but if I’m being honest, this wasn’t the best rack. I’ve looked at other Unilocalers’ pics and many of them look different than the spares that I got on this trip. Mine had a kind of tough top layer that pulled off in a jerky-esque strip. I think back home this was often attributed to too dry a pit? or too much salt in the rub? I could be remembering wrong on the cause, but I do recall that this was occasionally a «thing» that came up even with the best of the best so I’m not holding it against BT’s. Just wanted to mention it in case anyone else notices that their spares seem a little different :) But the meat was delicious, smokey and succulent and I went home smelling like a Texas hill-country campfire… and that is never a bad thing. See you soon, BT’s!

First: I messaged them on Facebook because I was going to Tree House and my friend really wanted to go here, so I needed to check my vegan options. They QUICKLY responded stating that basically I could eat all the sides, and the fries, and the salad.(ALLOFTHESIDES? Challenge accepted). Then: I went there and ordered most of the sides(I’m pretty sure the regular Slaw, and Potato Salad has mayo in it). But the Black Eyed Peas, BBQ Beans, and Carrot Salad was delicious. I also tried the jalapeño pickled carrot thing. Delicious. OH and the Fries. I was worried about the fries, I’m a bit of a fry snob. These fries were delicious, they were coated in something, maybe a dry rub. Delicious. It was actually enough food that I couldn’t finish all of my sides. Also the meat looked DELICIOUS. like melt in your mouth delicious. This is definietly a place you want to check out. It’s also BYOB which is a lovely addition. But if you are bringing fancy beer, maybe bring your own glasswear. Drinking Treehouse out of a red plastic cup was weird.

After a a quick IPA-hoarding jaunt out to Tree House, our friend/tour guide proclaimed that he was going to take us for the best barbeque to happen to our faces, ever. «HAHAHAHAHA!» was our haughty, disbelieving reply.(Totally internally, of course — we’re polite and thankful guests) «Nah, man. Shit nah! Because Texas» Cue an absolutely astounding burger(yeah, I ordered a burger at a BBQ joint. I went there. Seemed like the logical choice, given my doubts about the meat, and ended up blowing my mind anyway — topped with a fried green tomato, Vermont cheese, chopped/pulled other meat, other various things and such that were amazing complements to local cow. DELICIOUS!). And beef ribs that closely rival the sought-after dinosaur bones offered up at Franklin. And the perfectly smoked brisket. AND, of course, the BYOB worldclass IPAs we just left Tree House with Well. Do smokehouses offer up crow? That’s what we ended up eating. Hey…MASS? Gold star, y’all :)

Talk about the best BBQ you’ve ever had! The smoke pigs in house and it shows. The two favorites on my board are their Mac and cheese and the beef brisket. The bark on the brisket is amazing! I come alll the way out from Springfield to eat here. They’ve even won phantom gourmet awards. You can write on the walls with the chalk which is super fun. Can’t wait to go back!
