Typical take out pizza place that has an area to sit with TVs. I got lasagna and garlic bread. It was nothing special, but it was exactly what you would expect from a place like this. The homemade ice cream looked good, but I didn’t have a place to keep it cold. Bottom line is, I was hungry, I ordered take out, I ate, I am not hungry anymore…

We regularly go to Old Sturbridge for pizza, subs, and salads. Food is always fresh and tastes great. The customer service is the best around. They are a great family run business who take pride in what they do. Food is great, people are great! Overall highly recommended.

Heavy on the cheese. Sauce had an extra zing to it. Not sure what that was, though it was decent. Side of broccoli was $$. Pretty much a no frills place for pizza and subs.

Vacationing in New England this past week, and on May 20 I ordered from Old Sturbridge Pizza(delivery to my hotel). The pizza arrived in a reasonable amount of time(about 35 minutes). The delivery guy was nice enough; I paid and tipped him(he did his job just fine). The pizza was the problem. It was still very hot, but as soon as I opened the box, It smelled strongly acidic. I decided to be brave and eat some of it. I had ordered pastrami as one of my toppings(along with black olives), and much of the pastrami was burnt/blackened. There was also quite a bit of hard-to-chew«gristle». The pizza tasted entirely«off». I don’t know if it was the pastrami, or the olives(or something else) that might have been past its prime, but something was definitely wrong. I did not finish the first slice, and eventually threw away the rest of the pizza. I should point out that I did not become ill, but I fear I would have if I’d eaten any more. I didn’t contact them immediately, because I had to be on the road early the next morning, but on Thursday evening(May 21) I emailed them and let them know about the issue. It is now Saturday night(May 23) and up until now I have received no reply from them.

It’s hard to find good eggplant parm. Stopped here for lunch and got an eggplant parm grinder. The eggplant was thick enough so I could taste it, without being too thick and chewy. Excellent.

Ordered from here and delivery was prompt and the delivery driver was very friendly. I had the tuna grinder and it was very good. All the food was delicious and in big portions. Prices are also decent. Would order again.

PAYATTENTION!!! Why is he yelling this you ask? Great question! And here is why. We stopped in town for the night while passing through. We called Old Sturbridge to fill our bellies for the evening. We ordered a small bbq chix pizza, an order of honey BBQ wings and a small order of bread sticks. The pizza and wings were good. The bread sticks? Well they probably would have been good when they were fresh. They appeared to have been sitting under the warmer for a much longer time than the 45 minutes that it took to get our food delivered. So my guess is that their lack of attention to detail allowed for them to deliver us an order that had made much earlier than when I had called. Luckily I will probably never be in this area again. But if I am. I will NOT be ordering from them again.

Old Sturbridge pizza is a great local pizza place. Much of the menu is pretty standard, although they do have some special items that you don’t find everywhere. The pizzas are very consistently good, and they even have a New York style pizza that’s bigger, thinner crust, and a great value-our new favorite. Aside from pizza, my husband and I love to order their salads, particularly their tuna salad, because the tuna is great and their house made ranch dressing is outstanding! We also enjoy their Greek grilled chicken wrap and their fried zucchini sticks-you get a ton of them, and they are always piping hot! Another unique aspect is their homemade ice cream sundaes, ready to go in their case. We love the banana and the mint. Above all else, the owners and staff are the friendliest you can find-always give you a warm greeting-which is so appreciated. It is our go-to take out pizza, salad, and sandwich place in Sturbridge!

Their advertised«homemade ice cream» is flavored soft serve. Their«homemade lasagne» is actually Stoffers, from a distributor. They cook all their fried products in the same oil(fries, chicken, seafood, etc). There’s no use in telling them if you have a seafood allergy and you order fried anything. Stay away!!!

My family and I stopped here on our way home from vacation. We ordered a calzone that was great! They also make homemade ice cream that was delicious too! I would defininitly recommend stopping here and trying it. They are also under new ownership so please don’t let the old reviews keep you away. Great service & comfortable enviroment.

I ordered the fried clam dinner for 14.99. What i got was a plate of steak fries and about 3 – 4 small clams. When i complained to the server, she asked the manager and was told that is all we give. The food was terrible.

Last Saturday at noon or so, some friends and I stopped in at nearby Sal’s up the road, but were ignored until we finally had to ask if there was any service. Not happy with how we were treated, we headed to this place. We entered and sat next to a large round table with a family seated at it just finishing their pizza. We waited. and waited. and waited. Then we noticed the family get up and bus their own table. We left and went to Burger King, which appears to be one of the only places in Sturbridge to have customer service. I mean really — is it a Massachusetts thing that if you are a self-service restaurant you don’t even have to greet people and tell them that when they walk in? And that strip along the highway there is BOOMING with out-of-staters who have no clue what your deal is. Seriously. I would rather give BK my money.

Stopped here the other day thinking I was going too visit George’s Pizza, another place I had not frequented before. Lo and behold, that’s not what was on the signage when I pulled up. No biggie, I thought, I’ll give these guys a shot I thought. I walked in and took a look at the menu so I could make up my mind. Pretty much what you’d expect, pizzas and subs, though many to choose from. First visit, I played it safe and went with a small cheese pizza. I had planned to share with my little one but she wanted fast food instead. Woo Hoo, more for me. Though there a a couple of tables inside, this is really more of a take out kind of place. The young lady behind the counter was friendly, the wait for my pizza was what you’d expect, about ten minutes. The pizza was OK, in spite of the fact they use a conveyor belt to cook it. I’m more of the old school, throw it in the oven kind of guy. Though we had no issues, I could see parking being an issue here. The lot is not huge and there is no street parking here.
