Blimpie

Place is gone, heard Jersey Mikes is coming in. I’ve been to Jersey Mike’s down the shore a couple of times. They are only slightly better than Blimpie and nowhere near as good as sandwiches unlimited. I don’t see the benefit unless you don’t want to drive the 1 mile over the sandwiches unlimited. I sure will be. Jersey Mike’s been there did that only so-​so. Once you’ve had sandwiches unlimited nothing else even compares.

I’ve been a lifelong fan of the Blimpie franchise, but this place has caused me to seriously consider driving an extra 20 minutes away to get my blimpie fix.
The last few times I ordered a simple Blimpie best sub. Whenever I’d ask for a little extra sweet peppers or less oil, or more oregano, the lady would give me a raised eyebrow, smirk at my request, and sometimes throw in a snorted laugh at me.
And when they do add a little extra of whatever it is I ask for, they proceed to sprinkle on the extra topping as if it were some non-​renewable resource, then looking astounded when I ask for more.
These people need to get a better attitude towards their customers, and give them what they ask for without the unnecessary stinginess.

I used to go here for lunch once a week years ago and never had any complaints. Past few years it’s gone downhill. Went in one day with an Entertainment book coupon and when I got to a counter they said they wouldn’t accept it. I’ve had this happen before but at other places they post a sign on the door or coupon. One guy working there seemed mad that I was even trying to use the coupon. I went back again because of a coupon and noticed they now have $ 7 minimum for credit card! I don’t know of any other chain place that doesn’t accept credit cards for any amount. Subway does, Quiznos does. It’s just part of doing business in today’s world. And again the service wasn’t overly friendly. I have no reason to ever come back here– coupon or not. Really hoping this place goes out of a business and they put a Quiznos or COSI here. Heck even another Subway would be more welcome than this poorly run franchise.

When coming back for some party supply shopping a few of us decided lunch was imperitive. So someone suggested blimpie and no one objects, although now i kinda wish i voice my opinion.
So we went in and i ordered a simple blimpie best. Knowing that the sandwitchs never look at full in the pictures as they do made in the store i was still rather supprised that when she asked what i wanted on my sandwich and i told her tomato, she put a single slice in the middle, Looking at her with a raised eyebrow i asked if should could put on more so she fumbled around for the smallest slice she could find and put it next to the middle slice. At this point i just gave up and told her to put on the rest of what i wanted including a 3 strands of hot pepper and maybe a leafs equivlant of lettuce.
After paying about 7 bucks for this i realize why it was so dead. I probably wont be coming back any time soon.
